Awesome escape room! Our groups have done about 10 escape rooms and this by far is our top 3. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into as this is one of three scary escape rooms in San Diego. This was a referral from one of my friends and we just say why the heck not. As we got there we were briefed and set up into our rooms. Get there early because there are waivers and questions that you might want to ask when you get there. Be sure to ask questions. This escape room is not like the others. They have very good clues and the props were cool. It definitely fits the theme and an extra surprise will be awaiting for you in your rooms. Like the other escape rooms we get three clues. Our host Chris was very entertaining and helpful with the clues. Our group got out with 20:31 to spare. Super fun and highly recommend. Happy hauntings!

Pretty good. Really like the way they themed it. However some of the puzzles are kinda broken even with a full understanding of how to get the solution. However we had fun which is the entire point.

The escape room was eh. It was in some sketch motel/ office building and was run down, poorly maintained, and poorly designed. Staff was really friendly. Not going to that one ever again. There are much much better for about the same price.

This escape room is professional and very well put together!! Ive done 3 of their rooms already and have had a blast everytime!

What a fun night! *Spoiler free review*My group of 4 booked the 9:30 Harvest Motel room and we were very anxious to begin. Our Game Master Chris welcomed us and made sure we knew all of the rules and the backstory of the room. He then split us into our 4 separate rooms and the game began. The puzzles themselves were not too difficult, they were all things that we had seen before. Even though the puzzles were fairly easy, what kept us on our toes was the and fear of the unknown evil in the room.Some puzzles do require outside knowledge but you have 3 hints if you need to use one for it. We personally didnt find it an issue because at least one person in our group knew the answer.The atmosphere kept the room feeling spooky and kept us on edge the whole time. The ending puzzle was a little anti-climactic but with that evil force in there, we just happy to escape it! We got out with 16 minutes left and felt accomplished. Looking back at it the room wasnt too difficult with was mostly just the part of being separated that made our adrenaline kick in. I would recommend this to groups of 4-8; I think 12 (which is there max booking) would just be too big especially if you book for a group of 4 and then get paired with randoms for the rest.Overall, the game was fun, thrilling, and a great way to bond.This was my 46th room, I would recommend this room mostly to beginners but also to enthusiasts who are looking for a spooky separation room game.Shout out to the Game Master Chris for being awesome and talking with us after the game too, we really appreciated it!

Had a great time! There were 3 different games to play from and we decided to go with the Harvest Hotel, a scary one. It was super fun and we had 5 people playing. I would definitely suggest this to people looking to have a great time! I also heard they were in the process of adding 2 new locations in the same area. They sound like they are going to be super awesome.

Dope theme, great storyline, coolest host ever (Chris)...it was 5 out of 5 no doubt. Good times with good people

Just had an awesome experience with a group of 9 doing the Harvest Motel. I highly recommend this room and 3rd Day Escape in general. Our host was Tyler and everyone in our group had a blast. Defintely will be coming back.

This was our first time in an Escape Room and it was AWESOME. We did the Harvest Motel. At first we were scared to go in but as they said we came out of there laughing and with a load of great memories. The rooms are all different, interesting and confusing. Communication is the key:)It was super fun and I wish I could forget everything and go again and again.We will for sure return to do the other rooms!

Parking is terrible here, but we had a good time regardless.

Super fun escape room...roughly $18 pp after Groupon. We did the hourglass room and it was perfect for our group of 8. Some of the decorations were worn out and the props to open the door werent functioning properly so Ill deduct 1.25 stars (Ill give 3.75 stars) from that considering how spendy it was. We were a group of mostly beginners and were able to solve the puzzle with out using any hints which was our goal. Staff were friendly however the area leaves a lot to be desired. The restroom although clean and stocked felt very uncomfortable and worn out as well.

Hourglass 2.0 was fun and exhilarating, however on the website it specifically states that the room is not scary. Based on my personal experience I would prepare yourself for some spooks.

This was my first escape room so I didn’t know what to expect. It was so much fun and I had a great time! Staff was nice and the puzzles/clues were fun to solve. Can’t wait to come back!

My young teen wanted to do this with some friends. They didnt finish, but had a lot of fun. There was a misunderstanding, and planned out their time based on instructions as they understood them. This is the only reason I didnt give it 5 stars...the instructions werent clear to them. But if the point was for them to enjoy themselves - they surely did that!

Did the harvest hotel and it was super fun! It split the 4 of us into 4 different sub rooms before we got back together and made it through! Plenty of good and spooky puzzles and scares

The first thing to solve in this escape room is to actually find the escape room! Was not an easy task to find it, but its actually on the second floor at the very end of the building.The game master was really friendly and welcoming. The escape game itself was not that easy in my opinion but Im really a beginner in that kind of game.Really had a great time, I highly recommend for having some quick fun with friends and random people.

Escape room was meh. Not as involved as a lot of many I have done. Employee was unclear on the rules and made things a bit confusing. It was still a fun experience, I just think there are better places out there

We bought a Groupon for the Hourglass room and arrived about 15 min before game time. Justin was a great game host - very enthusiastic and friendly!Pros about the game/experience:*good game for beginners & advanced*had a nice mix of beginning finds to get the game moving right off*utilized several media sources (audio, visual, etc) as part of the game*unique puzzles and challenges*open weeknights!Cons about the game:*parking situation (not directly related to the game though!) was limited. We came in one car, so not too big of an issue but if I had a larger group I am not sure there were enough designated spots for everyone.*the clues to solve the puzzle in the room werent intuitive. Meaning we found a clue and it had information, but it wasnt innately clear if the info itself was the clue, or if the info + the object = a puzzle to solve to get the clue. Sorry if thats ambiguous, Im trying to be vague so I dont give away anything about the game.We are more of vets to the escape game world (though we brought 2 friends who were newbies) and all 4 of us had a great time! The hotel room sounds awesome if you like scary stuff - maybe the hubby will be back for that one! In the meantime, Im looking forward to if/when they release new rooms (that arent scary ;) )Oh! And on the way out Justin offered to let us play the travel escape game and it was so cool! Thats the first time Ive seen a mini-version of an escape room that can all be done on the table top. The motel escape room was awesome! We had Joe as our host and we was great! He greeted us in the parking lot when we arrived and was awesome. We went on a Saturday night for my dads birthday. This is honestly fun for the whole family (except little kids). We had a blast and couldnt stop talking about it the whole way home. The clues were just right. They werent too easy which it made it all the better! Everyone had to contribute and work together. The sets were awesome as well and I think they did a great job. We cant to do our next one. Also, once you arrive, their suites are towards the back of the parking lot.

Isaac is amazing. & this place is so fun. I highly recommend the harvest motel. I took my whole lacrosse team and we did harvest motel and hour glass. They were filled with puzzles and so much fun. Highly recommend.

Kinda hard to find, but a very fun and scary escape room.

Had a great time. Team building activity with co-workers. Not as easy as I thought it would be, but finished with 4 minutes to spare.

Really unique rooms with a great staff. Their motel room added a new layer to escape rooms with a thrilling experience. This room also requires a lot of cooperation and teamwork. The hourglass room is a little more traditional and a better beginner room. The puzzles we still fairly unique with a nice ending.

We played Hourglass 2.0 with a team of 8. Good puzzles. Great staff. We are looking forward to try their other rooms.

Very good puzzles and an entertaining room altogether. Only suggestion is to provide a little more back story in the beginning to set the mood. Other then that, pair this with a dinner and you have an awesome Friday night.

A great room escape with a liken towards people new to this type of hands-on puzzle. Would recommend doing this with friends in multiples of four.

Was a great experience, very friendly staff, creative story line, like the seperation in the rooms in the beginning and have to work your way out to rejoin friends. The set and props were movie like along with music and the alterations of lights increasing the suspense. The puzzles were not impossible but required you to think and when solving certain puzzles, the outcome after solving it was not cheesy, for instance in movies when you lift a book a hidden wall appears (that certain instacne did not happen) and makes it much more realistic like youre in an actual movie.

Me and my family went there to solve the murder it was a blast. We just got out 30 mins ago and we are still talking about it. My brother who is 17 was the scaredest. Over all it was a blast would definitely recommend this game/room. The scary level was a 10/10 so wouldn’t recommend ages under 10

First time at an escape room and it was very fun and challenging experience! I would definitely recommend the Hour Glass to first time goers!

Ive done over 10 escape rooms in San Diego and Harvest Motel is by far my favorite one! I came here for my cousins bachelorette party and it was the perfect way to start the night. We were all terrified in the beginning as you pull in to a creepy looking motel building, but were so glad we went through with it. Truly immersive experience from beginning to end whixh is what I personally look for in escape rooms. Without giving away too much, this room has a unique format and vibe that is different from anything I have ever done. Cant wait to come back and try their other rooms!!
