Nice place!Great views!Clean! ( new bathrooms on the pier were spotless! )Restaurant on the pier had good drinks and yummy fresh fish plates!

You cant go wrong here. Beautiful. Excellent restaurants on the pier and across the street. Swings for kids, surfing, walking/running trail. Lots of soft sand and nice people. Great place to walk and relax and get some sun.

A lovely getaway but hard to get to. The pier takes you quite a way out over the ocean and has great restaurants and facilities. However, reaching the pier through the small winding streets was a challenge. It was a nice day away from everything.

Parking can be hard to find but worth waiting. Trail is easy and obviously beautiful views. Nice pier. Restaurants all with views. Long waiting times though. Restrooms are located throughout the beach. Picnic tables and pits throughout the beach too. Some people fishing.

Brought my wife here for our 12th year anniversary and boy did she love it. The view from every point was awesome. Took my fishing pole and got skunked but thats ok because we are coming back.

Beautiful pier, it was a beautiful day loved the Christmas tree at the end of the pier.

Absolutely love hanging out near the pier. One of the better places on the planet to hands out at. Especially with Da Mayor and his camp setup!

Very nice place to spend a hot sunny day! Nice beach adjacent to the pier, and biking/running/walking trail, to unwind! Lots of parking available, with snack bars, and a seafood restaurant right on the pier. Me and the family had an amazing time! Very relaxing during the pandemic! Ahh! Fresh Air, great place to release all your built up energy and have fun, as well as have some great family time!

Nice restaurant bar with ok food pretty reasonable pricing for the location. They have a nice happy hour special with prawns and clams, the fish bites were not very good. The clam chowder was outstanding.

Nice clean pier. We went fishing,, got there at 5:30am. Parking real close by (you dont have to start paying till 10am). Very clean well kept restrooms halfway through pier. Also towards end of pier theres a small shack: you can order food; buy fresh bait and other things like shirts, beach decor etc. Great place for the family.

Wonderful place to hang out with family, lots of entertainment and safe to walk at night. Totally worthy going there.

Wonderful train ride from Tustin to San Clemente with the grandkids. The pier was very busy and the restaurant excellent.

Very nice pier with a little Mexican restaurant out on the end that says its open on the weekends. There is also a restaurant at the front end of the pier which is good with seafood and cocktails...etc. The pier is clean, appears to be in good condition and feels sturdy. Beautiful location!

We ate at the Indian restaurant. The food was authentic. Portion sizes were large. I would recommend to anyone who wants to try Indian food, loves curry. Give them a try!!!

It is a beautiful pier and beach area. Very clean. Great for fishing or a family day at the beach. There is a OMNItrans that goes right through there so if you wanted to go and not drive, thats also an option. There are public bathrooms, they are clean for the most part. Also there are shops and food across the street from the beach. Definitely a perfect beach for the family.

Weather waves and well behaved crowds. And boy were there crowds today.Love the place. Very family oriented. And a great break at T-Street for body surfing and boarding.

1st time at San Clemente beach, what a beautiful place. So clean and the lifeguard was really cool. Ran into a few snobs but they didnt get the pleasure of making me uncomfortable. Shall come back again soon.

This is definitely a place to check out, especially during sunset. The view is absolutely breath taking. You can listen to the ocean, go fishing, lobstering or even just go for a walk or a run. We always visit the pier while we are in town.

The pier has always been my go to. Especially after working at fishermans, where I got sick of seeing it everyday. Its become our home away from home. And today was a perfect day to go. Not too crowded, just right, with my family enjoying the perfect weather.

A beautiful peir in the chilled coastal town of San Clemente. Parking is tight nearby but the walk on the peir has great views and often has sea lions darting around underneath.

Wonderful beach. Very nice kind beautiful people. Some parts steep from parking lot to beach. Nice bike path. Overall the best beach I have ever been to. Wont go to Huntington or Newport beaches or LA county beaches again anytime soon. Everyone was so nice. I even got into the water and collected 10 lbs of beautiful rocks and pebbles. Wonderful wonderful day out

Great views of the cliffs and beach. End of the pier is a bit over run with fisherman though. Addition of restroom at middle of pier, great idea, not so sure about the occasional Venice style musician though.

Great restaurants, atmosphere, fishing, surfing, and view. All in all one of the best piers Ive been two for a small local beach town. Im hoping they upgrade the lightning all around soon but minor issue overall.

Very pleasant, old-school sea pier. Nicely kept-up, but could some more benches for folks like me who take frequent stops while walking.

Luke is the best server on the pier. Makes memories that will last a lifetime. Super friendly and very attentive. As you start to walk on the pier, he works on the left side. The seabass, salmon, the drinks ... all great. The sun setting is magnificent. Youll love this place. The Fisherman. Good restaurant.

San Clemente Municipal Pier is one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. The pier has a couple of good seafood restaurants that have inside and outside seating. Parking is free after 6pm.

On some weekends, it is crowded. I love this place and the Calafia Beach too. Some great places to eat. Now the outdoor eating has taken away from the enjoyment but I still recommend

Really good food and a very pretty pier. Kinda looks a little like new port Beach with a similar parking set up. Cost to park unless you find space somewhere else. The train was cool to see and there are a lot of cute and tasty restaurants

Free parking after 5pm. Beautiful views. A great place to watch the sunset. The town is so hilly and beautiful it feels like youre in another country. We visited while on a road trip and it made for a refreshing hour pit stop. There are bathrooms by the pier.

Great place to relax and have fun. Perfect place to eat, swim, fish. Love the atmosphere and fishing fam. Not over crowded and overall just a gorgeous place to be ;-)

The Fishermans has the best dining on any pier. Period.

Blessed to call this area home. It has a handful of little shops and restaurants. Great beach access and decent parking, if you get here early.

Good access from Metrolink. Basically clean and safe. Built for fishing. Tables at the end of the pier for the restaurant only. Was busy when we were there. Parking would be difficult if youre not there early.

The southern most pier in orange county, set in the beautiful scenery of the little surf town of San Clemente. Normal activities available here or surroundings (food, drink, fishing, surf watching, ocean gazing ...). Great food at fishermans restaurant at the beginning and nice little bait and snack shop near the end of the pier. Other eateries nearby. Parking can be challenging as it is limited or a nice walk up and down the hill. Pleasent place to visit.

Very nice really busy, actually a little bit too busy for the situation we are leaving right now, but the weather was so beautiful, what can I say I was there too right..This pandemic is really scary but here in there personally with precautions I guess its ok..

San Clemente pier and the hiking trails surrounding it are a great place to visit. Located between Orange County and San Diego, the San Clemente pier and surrounding area are a place that you dont wanna miss.There is a hiking trail that runs parallel to the The train tracks. The trail runs a few miles and has incredible views of the coastline. If you look North you can see Dana Point, and if you look South you can see all the way to San Onofre.Check out the awesome hiking trail and all of the alcoves that lead to the beach. We walked down to Magnolia and then took this secret little passageway underneath the railroad tracks which led us to the beach.Theres lots to do including renting a bike, shopping, and dining. If youre looking for a quick getaway, you can take either the coaster or the Amtrak train which is not far from LA, Orange County, or San Diego.

Love the pier been going there for years. Had lunch at pier was really good.

Was wonderful I hadnt visited the pier since 2009, with a dear friend of mine that passed away.

1st time at the pier area...great place for Sunday brunch or a walk...pier itself is not dog friendly, all other places are...

They changed the parking policy to no overnight parking bummer . This was a great place to drive to park at night and go swimming in the AM. Its stilla nice beach one of my favorite surfing spots .

We came here while visiting family. It was too cold to swim and I was having one trouble that day so I couldnt explore. However, I had an amazing time sitting on the nice and clean beach and collecting pretty rocks. The variety of colors in the rocks were amazing and the view of the ocean and beach were gorgeous. I could have stayed all day.

Always love the pier in San Clemente. Beautiful summer day.

The best pier between Santa Monica and Oceanside

Very good beach but I would appreciate if people wear the masks walking around during these times.

Beautiful beach!Living in California has allowed me to have seen many piers. This one has a station for Amtrak. That means you can either drive there or just take the train for a few hours to eat and walk around the beach.

As a motorcyclist I can find plenty of free parking within walking distance to the pier, restaurants, restrooms, etc. I actually enjoy the trains coming through and the beach swimming and shape of the waves are ideal.

Beautiful area easy parking. Dont expect to do anything on the pier other than watch the surfers and the fisherman. But overall a very relaxing time

We had a blast here at the pier. My second time coming and every time there are a lot we missed the first time.We took the metrolink so we didnt spend hours finding a parking spot. Every part of it was most enjoyable

Such a beautiful spot. Great for all ages, people by themselves. Couples, groups and families equally. Only downside is limited parking. So carpool if you can.

We went to Fishermans for our first time out since the lock down. We had an amazing dinner and drinks. Fishermans did a terrific job and the food was outstanding as always. So good to go out again. Be safe.

Such a beautiful beach with surfing and fishing. The restaurant options are clean and varied. The pier itself is a nice long walk and the parking was free after 5 in time to watch the sunset in this off season for tourism.I love bringing family here as well as visitors from out of town!

My favorite spot in San Clemente. Grew up in the late 70s early 80s here. Lived on the bluffs close by and every day after school we could be found on the beach! And while it is far more touristy than it was then, its still a nice place to spend the day.

Nice little place! Its next to railroad tracks, its kind of unique in that sense. Youll see the train pass by here and there.. waves are great for body boarding. Coming back!

Awesome place to see the sunset from the Dana point. Enjoy fishing on the pier might catch a shark. Fell the breeze in the evening time.

The place is chill. Always is when you get the beachy vibe. Its wooden so theres that.
