I recently moved from Dallas and needed to find a new pole studio. This studio has gone far above my expectations—I adored my Dallas studio and I’m happy to say I love this studio too! Beverly and Kim are awesome and give great guidance on how to improve my form! I’ve noticed some reviews pointing out that these classes are tough— they definitely are, I’m newly intermediate level and I understand the struggle, but I promise a beginner can do those moves with practice. I literally couldn’t get my feet off the ground when I first started in January and almost quit. It’s intimidating, but my advice to newbies is just keep pushing. It’s soooo worth it.

The absolute best time ever. Tons of laughs, great instructor. Great way to spend my birthday weekend with my gals.

My friend and I went for the Pole Power class because it was recommended by the staff for beginners. This class is not for beginners! It is for people who are more advanced and already knew the basic movements/positions, and were in better physical condition, which left us lost. Additionally, staff was not welcoming at all. Didnt even greet us when we walked in and seemed too preoccupied with other things. Arthur approached us and just asked for our names so he could cross them off his list, then left without so much as a Hi or Welcome. Had to say goodbye twice before they even acknowledged us. Overall we were disappointed. Seems like they have their regulars and treat them one way, but new people are treated with condescension. They made no effort to make us want to come back.

I had my first class in September and loved it. The instructor Andrea was amazing and very helpful. Ive been wanting to do pole for years and finally have a place to go. The studio is very nice and the instructors are amazing. Really excited about this journey.

Pole dancing is a beautiful and grueling sport unlike no other. North Pole Dance Studio is the first studio in San Antonio to open its doors to males like me who want a great workout while creating art with the human body. I challenge anyone who is bored of conventional gyms to give this sport a chance. I give my heartfelt gratitude to NP for providing me a place to dance to my souls content while getting stronger in ways no other gym can match.

Kristen, thank you for addressing my concerns so quickly. After speaking with you, my friend and I are willing to give your studio another try, but this time it will be the beginner class! Lol! Thanks again for your concern!

Started my fitness journey and the end of January 2019. I had taken a class or two for fun with friends for Bachelorette parties, and had always wanted to learn more. I took my first class and I was hooked! My instructor was kind, encouraging, and everyone at the studio was so welcoming.Pole is definitely more challenging than it looks, and it will take a lot of determination and hard work to achieve your goals. They offer a variety of classes to show you how versatile pole can actually be. You can go there for the workout, to learn technique, or to learn choreography. I encourage people who are interested to just give it a try - and take more than one class before you decide if it is not for you.

I have been coming here since July and I have improved so much with my pole skills! The instructors are so positive and encouraging, it feels like a community there, with everyone supporting each other. Love this place :)

The studio is beautiful and the instructors are friendly and kind. Saying that, their beginner classes aren’t really ‘beginner’. If you’re already in good shape and want to build on that, this is the studio for you. You’ll be challenged and push your limits. If you’re a true beginner who’s starting your fitness journey, you’ll leave feeling defeated. I question why such difficult moves are incorporated into beginner classes? Again, if you’re already in shape and are looking for something that will build on an established routine or if you’re looking for something new outside the gym, this really is the place for you. If you’re a true beginner, there are better places to learn pole dancing that will leave you feeling good about yourself. After trying these classes several times, I can honestly say I never left feeling good about myself.

This place offers great workouts, I thought it was easy based on Instagram but it was a challenging workout, we used a lot of core and upper body strength. The owners are nice and the classes offer a wide range of options.
