Its the box store. That said, it was ok as far as box stores go. I had an inch added to a club and he had it done in 10 minutes. I didnt feel like the staff was overly helpful, but they werent all over me either. I guess it all depends on what you are looking for.

The Golf Galaxy in Austin was out of a grip I wanted and it was available down here. Called ahead of time and checked if it was in stock and could be put on and was told yes. Ordered the grips and drove all the way down to San Antonio only to be told it would be four days to get the grips put on, unless I gave the guy an extra $20. Unreal. Taking my business somewhere else.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Went in with my daughter to get her a new set of clubs for her birthday. We walked around for about 10 min. No one even looked at us much less acknowledged our presence. Spent another 20 min looking at women’s sets and still no assistance. There were 2 employees sitting at the checkout counter (right next to the women’s clubs) and never asked If we needed help. The store wasn’t even busy. They were just busy visiting with each other. We decided to leave. As we walked out one of them said “Y’all have a good one” It took all I had to keep my mouth shut. We went across town to Edwin Watts and purchased her a nice Ping set. Their customer service was excellent. I’ll highly recommend everyone to go there over the overpriced, poor customer service Golf Galaxy.

Went in to buy a set of Calloway Maverick Max, looked at clubs and waited for 20 minutes, no one came to help, the staff was standing behind the counters bsing. Wont be back

Walked in. Not one staff member said hello. Went to the putting green. No one offered help or selection. Walked around another 15 minutes and after no one asked if they could help I left and took my business elsewhere.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced and if less than one star was an option that would be my choice. I went in needing help with wedge fitting/assessment. I had a general idea of what I wanted/needed and just needed the numbers verified. I walked in carrying clubs so it was obvious I was looking and expecting to spend money. After looking around for almost 20 min with no help, I started hitting some clubs that I thought I would be interested in. After about 15 mins of hitting balls and about 6 workers walking by with still no help, I was becoming impatient (oh and there were only about 5 other customers in the store). I approached a salesperson who watched me walk toward him and he abruptly turned and walked away. Finally after about another 10 minutes of literally chasing sales reps around the store, I caught one that would at least talk to me. I asked some of the questions I had and explained I needed help. As I turned around to grab a club for my next question, this sales rep walked off. The manager of this location should probably look into all of these customer service complaints. And the owner should definitely be concerned. I will be going back to the store to let the manager on duty know but will definitely never do business with this store.

Went in early July to get my irons fitted. Was told the clubs I had were wrong for me and ended up doing a special order. I was advised it should take two weeks for the new irons to come in. Fast forward to early august I reach out to golf galaxy customer service was told they have to submit an internal request to get an update. I finally get the updated and am told the clubs will ship on 08/16/2019. I reach out on the 19th to get shipping info again another internal request. Didnt get an update reached back out again no update. Finally 08/29 I get an update and am told. ITEMS ON BACKORDERED TILL SEPTEMBER! terrible experience. Didnt pay to wait 3 months for my irons!

When in to ask questions about a different shaft (as Im getting older) and wound up going through a lengthy fitting process with Joshua. After all was said and done he suggested an expensive new Taylormade Driver . After several weeks of waiting for my special order I finally received the Driver and took it out for a whirl. Used it on 4 different occasions and was very disappointed with performance. Called GG to find out what my options were and the gentlemen on the phone said we can certainly refund you, just come in and speak to manager. After speaking with Bruce, he immediately informed me they dont refund special orders. He was kind enough to have me swing the club several times in the simulator and basically assessed that it was the golfer and not the club. I advised him I was getting much better performance with the Ping I traded in which he basically shrugged off and advised I take it out again and use tips he suggested, then set up an appointment. On my way out the door, I couldnt help notice the new Ping 410, so out of curiosity I had someone else set me up in the same simulator with the Ping Driver. You guessed it, I was definitely hitting the Ping better than my special order club. I feel I was sold a bill of goods and very disappointed with these guys because Ive been a patron for a very long time. Ill never get fitted in a simulator again, better to use a club pro at a reputable golf course.

So I scheduled a club fitting with Jason. He was personable, knowledgeable, and no-pressure. I told him I liked my brand but was open to others and he and I hit a bunch of clubs. I feel confident I got the right set (he actually steered me towards a stock set that was out preforming several custom options) at the right price. Would recommend (and will) to friends.

Great customer service. Go see Matt Salazar for all of your club fitting or to find a new club to add to your arsenal. The guy was super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. After listening to my needs for a few minutes and asking me a few questions, he walked me through a few club options, we zeroed in on different clubs I would like, and then found the right club after hitting each one. Great experience.

Some of the staff are great and there are a few you just dont care about working or any kind of customer service. I am now updating my review as of this moment I just went in and had excellent customer service through several associates. I think the associates there now are getting it together. I did not see some of the younger guys that seem to be the problem in the past. Hats off Golfsmith for fixing the problem.

We visited this store today and we were pleasantly surprised! We are beginners and they took quite a bit of time to show us proper stance/hand placement etc. The computer animated golf bays are wonderful! The store has everything you could possibly want. Great customer service! We will be back.

I would like to say that my husband frequents this store. He has spent thousands on golf gear here. Additionally, he has given his leg and almost his life fighting for our country and deserves to be treated with respect. Lately, every time he goes to this store a worker named Ken is consistently disrespectful towards him, borderline discriminatory. Ken makes snide comments when my husband wants to come in and test a club in a bay. Ive had enough and if the management doesnt take care of this issue I will file a formal complaint with the better business bureau.

I visited the store yesterday and was politely greeted and very well attended to. I was returning a club for credit ( won at a golf tournament). Their policy is to give an 85% credit which I thought was very fair. Spent $120 and enjoyed the experience and the store. Ill be back.

I was looking to trade down in used clubs. They had both my set priced at $429.00 retail and the set I wanted to trade down to at $229.00 both 7 club sets. I was told my 9 club set is valued at $170 and I see theyll resell that for $400+. Everyone has to make money so no problem. I was told they offer about 40-50% of resell value. So the set for sale $229.00 they probably gave $100-115. So I offered the following, my 9pcs iron set thats far more valuable of a resell, strait up for the 7pcs iron set. Giving them a $70-100 upgrade in values on trade in alone, and an extra $200 in retail sales price than their current situation. No, they wanted the better set of clubs, plus about $50-80 out of pocket to win three times instead of just two. Plus I offered to regrip the entire set I bought, refit them and so forth. The manager said and I quote, I cant do math that fast, whatever the prices are they are. Ill buy brand new from Edwin Watts before ever dealing with Golf Galaxys high overhead charging tactics...

Just left GolfSmith on Blanco - Horrible customer service. I recommend any OTHER golf store in town, dont waste your time. Wasnt greeted, had to ask for help. After receiving a quote for my clubs, was notified they cant purchase them after all. After I left, I realized I had left my shopping list inside, when I returned for it they handed it back to me in 2-3 pieces. Guess they were having a rough day

I went in late on a Sunday afternoon looking for a new pair of golf shoes. I tried on several pair, with no pressure from the sales folks, and when I found a pair that finally felt great, these guys let me walk around the store for about an hour, hit some balls at their swing range, and didnt pressure me once about closing time, etc. I decided to buy the shoes, and will go back for all of my golf needs!
