Weve been attending GTC for two years and it has been a phenomenal experience. Not only has my kiddo grown in gymnastic skills, but also life skills. I highly recommend the summer camp.
Great facility. Clean, professionally run with coaching and management. Consistently puts gymnasts in college.
Stay away. Not a strong program in terms of teaching: teachers are not attentive at all, seem annoyed with the students, do not offer specific corrections, and generally dont seem to be paying very much attention. My daughter noticed this poor attitude immediately and its clear from the viewing stands, too. I was very disappointed as the gym set up is impressive and looks great. The front desk people, however, do seem engaged and interested in whats best for students -- but this positive attitude was not carried over into the actual instruction.
We love it here. They are very family oriented.
My daughter has enjoyed her beginner gymnastics class with Isabel in the fall. She gets 5 stars! She is so good with the kids. I would highly recommend gymnastics with Isabel.ON THE OTHER HAND THE TUMBLING INSTRUCTORS ARE RUDE. THEY DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE KIDS AT ALL. MY DAUGHTER TUMBLED OFF OF THE RUNWAY INTO A POLE AND THE INSTRUCTOR DIDNT BOTHER TO SEE IF SHE WAS OKAY. I CAUGHT THAT SAME INSTRUCTOR ROLLING HER EYES AT MY DAUGHTER WITH AN ANNOYED LOOK ON HER FACE WHEN MY DAUGHTER HAD A QUESTION. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TUMBLING HERE SOLELY BASED ON THE INSTRUCTORS.
I started my daughter, Molly, a Time GTC when she was 4 years old. She had a tough time with me leaving her when she first started in the recreation gym classes. I remember one specific lesson, I tried dropping her off and she just cried and cried (pretty hysterically). Coach Kristie came over to talk to Molly and myself and I was SO IMPRESSED with how professional she was. Molly calmed down quick and was able to pull herself together and finish the class without another tear. I LOVED coach Kristie for the way she pushed the girls to do tough things, kept them on task, and was able to do it in a loving way.Now Molly is training level 4 competitively and our experience with her all of her coaches has been incredible. Randi, Saige and Wendy and helped Molly so much. I HAVE ALL GOOD THINGS TO SAY. Molly’s a 6 year old and is at the gym 16 hours a week and CAN’T GET ENOUGH. She is learning such valuable skills for her gymnastics and life. Her confidence, determination, goal oriented aspects are nothing but impressive to me considering she is a 6 year old. I would recommend this facility 100%. LOVE GTC!
My daughter just enrolled into gymnastics class this session (winter 2018). It is her first time doing gymnastics. There wasnt much of a welcome on her first day (actually--none at all) and nobody told us where to go or what to expect. This wasnt great considering I have an anxious daughter. No teacher introduction either. I also have no idea what curriculum is that my daughter is learning. At the end of the session, what should she be able to do? I have no idea because nobody talks to us before or after class to let us know what she does well and what she will learn. It is expensive so I would expect some communication with the parent about the childs progress, etc. That being said--the facility is nice and my daughter has a great time. She likes her coach. And, because there arent a lot of options out there, this will do! So far, our experience has been average. Not great, not bad.
I would never recommend anyone to this facility to anyone. This has been a terrible experience and a huge waste of money. We signed our 2 year old up so he would be able to interact with other children his age and to get to have fun tumbling. The teachers have been terrible and speak down to the kids. We saw one of the teachers push another 3 year old girl off of the balance beam and then asked the girl, why cant you do anything right?. These kids are not there to become olympic athletes and the way that girl was treated is ridiculous. The last time our son finished a class, he got out and said he didnt want to go to gymnastics anymore because teacher wasnt nice to me. I understand that 2 - 3 year old children have a lot of energy and dont do everything that you ask them to, but none of the kids I have watched in the class are disrespectful or bad. These teachers should not be responsible for toddlers. If I could rate this experience with zero stars I would.
Have a few great coaches whom I love and adore, but the owners are a pain to work with and are NOT very accommodating. They have very poor business management and poor attitude towards customers. Very unprofessional. They also have a lot of very undertrained staff members who they let run some of their higher level classes who are clearly spotting WELL above their comfort zone and trained ability. This company only cares about their competitive gymnastics program and limits their other programs with their lack of attention. This would be a great company under different management, but the current owners do a very poor job. I would not recommend this company.
THIS PLACE IS THE COOLEST! So glad I have this facility so close to me. Classes are taught by skilled, kind staff. Front desk is helpful. My kids enjoy every minute at GTC.
Ive taken my children to many gymnastics facilities and this is by far, one of the best. I was a little skeptical at first being that the pervisious9gym Ive been at were very distasteful. Their are some some times when I feel like theres favoritism going on but overall, this place is great. The staff are wonderful and seem committed .
Yikes. If you want your 5-6 year old children bullied and called names and snapped at, then this is your place ! The coach is awful. My daughters coach was fine, but From he viewing platform I have witnessed ridiculous, childish and unnerving behavior from an adult coach to her class. I am speechless. She needs anger management and a new occupation not working with children. I understand that gymnastics is about discipline. But it is also about building confidence. And this is not a priority for her.
Gymnastics Training Center is the place to go if you want your child to have a miserable experience. Our two year old was enrolled in hopes he would become more socialized and enjoy playing with the other kids. There were times when he really enjoyed himself but others when he cried and didn’t want to go back. The two teachers during his session were so rude and degrading. Multiple times we watched them from the sidelines get mad and punish the 2-4 year olds. I can only imagine what they would have said or done without the moms right there watching. Our child got in the car to day and said, “Coach M******** was mean to me today.” This was coming from a two year old. Two and three year olds are never going to listen to EVERY SINGLE detail. They shouldn’t be disciplined for that. They are still learning. I am so disappointed in the coaching staff. We had such high hopes. But as the weeks have gone by, our child has dreaded going to gymnastics.
So about 4years ago I started gymnastics I was brand new so they started me at a white in about a week I was a blue another week went by I worked hard to get here I was at a red years went by I went to silver to bronze to gold as soon as I hit gold my Nannie died so I left for a bit I went back I worked supper hard all of the coaches helped me do it soon I was almost ready for pre team I just needed an Ariel and a back hand spring at this point I had wendsday classes and over the weekend I had private lesson over lesson I was so close then family things happened we couldn’t afford GTC anymore but I was there since the first building and I was 7 years old later my mom got a boyfriend and my sister started gymnastics they started me at a bronze because I missed a year so I soon got up to a gold again then family stuff happened so I quit I started at a place called gravity to get my Ariel and back hand spring and I did after 6 1/2 months I got it I was so proud so they were gonna put me back in but my favorite coaches had quit so I thought I’d wait and I’m still waiting but over the years of GTC was great I had the best coaches good friends no staff treated me poorly they were all great I loved the open gyms and over the service was great
Very large 2 story facility! 2 floors for floor exercise. 3 pits, with springboards and uneven bars. 2 trampolines. Great friendly staff and coaches. I highly recommend checking it out.
Weve been coming here for a couple months. Im really impressed with the staff and the facility. Just picked up info to sign up our 4 year old as well.
Best gym easily in the west!!!! Nothing comes close! Best staff! Best teachers! Best students! Best competition! Overall the best available!!!!
My girls and I love GTC. The coaches and staff are great, and the facility is top rate.
My Coach Derek is a great coach he encourages us but he is sometimes mean to us but he wants to self discipline yourself
My daughter has been going to GTC for over 5 years. She started in the Rec program and is now on the GTC optionals team. I could not ask for a better place for her to spend time. It has become a second home to her. The coaches, the parents, the staff, and all of the girls have helped guide her into being a confident, dedicated, hard working teenager. Thanks GTC for your loving commitment to our kids! The brand new facility is a nice bonus!
Great coaches, great staff! My daughter loves it here!
My name is esperance and I want to become a cheerleader and I am a really good dancer and I want to see if I can get this training Thanks you
