Its good just wish it was bigger had sand and more shade. But is not bad. When the weather is nice the water is warmer than the ocean and not salty. Also sunset are nice here.Theres no lifeguard, so u can bring ur toys here. Also you can use boats and go around the lake if you wish too.

Its spacious and nice.However I feel that the public portable bathroom should have hand sanitizer and TOILET PAPER

Beach and swim area is VERY limited. We took our boat there and thankfully were able to gain some space scenery is nice to explore along the lake. Would go here again, but not my first choice. :)

Nice beach, sad that some left trash around. The locals know how to set up for a beach day! Tents, grills, the works.

Loved spending time here in the past, used to be a nice little quiet space for the locals. State did a good job on the upgrades, but way too many people flock there now.

Only swimming and cooking wish there was a little more to do there

Overcrowded, not a nice beach, more grass than sand, people are disrespectful and leave garbage around polluting the lake. The boat launch is nice though. State should regulate this beach!

Get time. Big fun. Is nice. Seriously though boat access is pretty easy lots of parking and two launches. Lake has two islands and some of the campgrounds have boast launches as well but its usually easiest just to use the public launch even if camping.

State park with decent parking with access to swimming at Gardner lake.

Nice quiet swimming area on a beautiful lake. Has picnic benches to eat at if you want. There is a boat launch there as well. My kids love it there so i dont mind taking the 40minute drive when we can.

Nothing bad

No lifeguards in site. The swimming area is very small since the rest is private and owned by people. There are lake guards or coast guards kind of people rounding around checking the lake. There are alot of jetsky and people on their small boats going very close on the swimming area. You can BBQ and picnic but cannot bring pets after the parking lot. There are ducks who swim in the swimming area with you and walk around which is very cute and adorable. The water is clean and smells good.

Very pretty. Not too rough on the water, with a good distance to kayak. Got to see a bald eagle fly from the southeastern shore toward the north.

Lake itself is nice as is the boat launch. The beach is not nice at all with more grass than sand yet it is always overcrowded. Lake is also way to packed to enjoy the water, often 15+ jet skis out there and they always seem to be in the way of the ramp

Love this lake its so clean and relaxing. Just make sure you have tons of sunscreen or umbrellas since there isnt shade.

The lake is beautiful. The riff raff on the beach was annoying. Disrespectful people throwing balls over everyones stuff, hitting people and their belongings. Kicking sand all over everyone. They hit my nephews toys and broke one so I finally asked them to go somewhere else. All of this, when there was a huge area of grass right next to the beach with no one there. One officer stopped once during the entire day and said something to some of the people drinking, but most of them werent the problem. Said nothing to the big crowds with handles of alcohol out in the open that were being loud and disrespectful.

Favorite place to relax and jump right in the water for a quick swim easy to access. Enthusiastic atmosphere.

There is alot of dead fish. The place smells like dead fish. Some fish are alive

Windy days this boat ramp is rough. Waves will slam your boat against the cement dock. To many wave runners who really are ignorant of boating courtesy around docks, beachs, downed water skiers or anchored boats in a cove. Not a good place to go on hot days due to the wave runners. All of them being trailered in. Public beach is overgrown with grass. It use to be nice sand but its getting trashed.

Not worth a detour (we did a detour to get here and left pretty quickly) if you want a proper swim. Apologetically small swimming area and right next to the boats so a lot of wake and noise from jet skis etc.If you’re looking for sand there isn’t much of it, it is a more ‘natural’ lake beach. People also have loud stereos here which may not be everyone’s thing.Looks pretty but there are better swimming places to go than here. Was very busy when we went on a Sunday late afternoon.Pretty disgusting portable toilets. Just feels a little unloved overall.
