I love learning about all the history in graham county. Weve only lived here since 2007. It amazes me of all the history.
A beautiful campground with a nice meadow. Mostly untouched by the 2017 Frye Fire. There are bear boxes, water and fire pits, but no restrooms.
Really cool, historic area. Love the open fields. Camp sites are good. Best camping on the mountain if you want open space (big fields). Surrounded by pines and aspens. Former camping area for AZs first CCC group (1934).
This placed suffered from a fire last year but is still a great place and the burned areas will be great again soon. All we need is a lot more rain which is a rare commodity in southern Arizona these days.Well that and a forest service that understands that forests are to be taken care of by the government for the enjoyment of the people and not the other way around.
Not to much traffic through the camp ground tables in good shape and the fire rings are fantastic
Beautiful!!!! Nice place for a large group!!! Easy to reserve on the forest service website.
