Plenty of riding area. Has a sand hill for those who like to hill shoot. Has tons of long washes to ride in and lots of trails for family rides. Has a pair of natural spring hot tubs and restrooms and a few tables covered with aluminum awnings. Reccomend experienced riders only at the main sand hill (gets busy)
This happens to be one of my favorite places between Phoenix and New Mexico. It is a bit of a drive from the highway, about 45 minutes. But if you want to go off-roading in a truck or ATV it really is great. I prefer to go during the week since it is much much less busy. The hot Wells have a really fantastic system that fill in the morning and empty in the evening. They are free to use. The groundskeeper is grade A. Everything is always very clean, tidy, and well-kept.
This place is fun. Im not a very good rider yet but theres tons of space to get me into my comfort zone before I start venturing off into the trails and climbing the dunes.
The road to the Campground was sketchy with lots of bumps, however we saw some construction going on the road as if they were fixing some parts. But what do you expect when you are camping in the middle of nowhere. That’s a small price to pay.Make sure to bring all necessities such as food, water and gas. There’s nothing around for miles and the closest town is literally a ghost town. The hot springs and the bathrooms were very clean surprisingly. The park Host I believe his name was Allen was a total sweet heart and very helpful.Be aware if camping alone and towing the sand gets very deep which means you can get stuck . So bring a shovel!!The Scenery, peace and serenity is all worth it!!!By the way there’s great trails for side by sides!!
The road in is hell. People do it but Im not taking my coach in there. Dunes overgrown with vegetation so visibility is poor. Get a really tall flag. Locals love it.
Finally finding my way around. So many Great spots in Graham County to enjoy. Thank you Lord for two good eyes to see these beautiful sites. Amen.
The location was great! The hot springs were amazing! Just keep in mind that the dunes here attract off roaders which I dont mind during the day but a few last night decided midnight to 1am was the best time to run the dunes. Dont expect to get a proper nights sleep.
The dunes are fun and the hot tubs are cool but the road to get there is dangerous and not recommend if youre pulling a large toy hauler. Thank goodness we drove up first to check it out before we pulled the camper up.
I can only describe it as 5 star.. Superb.
The wells are currently closed. BLM is not collecting fees. Many OHV vehicles.
What a well-kept secret! The roads getting here are definitely desert rustic, but once you arrive, its a great place to spend a little time. The water in the large hot tubs is from an underground lake, naturally 106°. I was having back issues; a couple hours in this wonderful place was just what the doctor ordered! Well be back...
Hot spring is closed
Love this place!Lawn is the best camp host
Such an awesome place. So cool that there are natural hot springs in Arizona!
Interesting area which we only recently discovered. Nice camping area.
Love it here hot tubs r clean people r very friendly Primitive camping
What a nice surprise. Though the road is pretty bad with potholes, the drive was well worth it to sit in the natural hot springs. Didnt bring out suits but next time we will. Just soaked our feet and it felt great. My wife has arthritis in her hands and it really provides nice relief. The lower roof the two spas was cooler and tolerable for a longer period of time. We tried both and the upper is much warmer and more like normal hot rub temperature. Camping is available for those with ATVs and other outdoor equipment. Well be back for sure.
Love coming out and running the trails.
Hard to get to, but worth it. nice camping sites. small fee is charged
The hot springs are very relaxing. We do not have an ATV but if you do this would the place to bring it for the day or for the week.
There actually the Bowie dunes.
The worsted paved road Ive ever been on, for a fee area the BLM should do a better job of maintaining the road.
Good for a day trip
Great place!
We just spent three days (mid-week) playing in the dunes with our Yamaha Wolverine side by side. We easily drove our 30 motor home into a nice secluded and shady camp site with picnic table, fire pit and BBQ grill. We were happy it was quiet and the only ones out on the trails. We had a blast. As for the Hot wells, we did not use them but they are fenced, surrounded with cool deck, and there are rest rooms nearby. It all looked very nice.
I will never travel there again waste of time and money get harrased by him rangers and had our plate took an from Our side by side and we had all paper work for it and told us its best we load up and go never again will I waste my time rather go to California imperial sand dunes
Hot springs, nice campsites, dune riding, the camp host (Lon) is a nice guy.
