I’ve been here a few times.The food is AMAZING!!! Really, really good food. I’ll keep coming back for that and can’t wait to try their brunch!!The cocktails and drinks are also impressive. There’s a lot of beers on tap, and a menu with craft cocktails. Very good stuff.Also check out the events they do here - every Wednesday is WTF Wednesday’s- a stand up comedy show! Its free entrance with a 2-drink minimum. I know they do other events too, worth checking out.This is definitely a really cool spot in Sac!

Great decor and ambiance. The cocktail I had was delicious. I dont remember the name, but it had Bourbon and lemon. The Garlic Bread Steak Sandwich was also very good. I suggest you try it.

First time eating during Brunch! Im glad it was this restaurant! This place was off the charts!! The food was bomb!! This was place was the first time I didnt need to add anything to the food!I also liked the fact I recognized one of the ingredients on the potatoes lol Lowerys seasoning! Mmm good!

This place was great. First Friday of the month they have a 90s cover band and damn ! They are so much fun!!! Can fit a whole bunch of people, the music sounded good . If you simply walked to the back bar you could get a drink quite quickly. We had a great time!

This is by far the best kick it spot to go to on a Saturday night in downtown sac. You want to hear good music and catch a vibe this is the place to be.

Always chill people running the bar, and have come through in the clutch with their bar style coffee (way better than most of the brown water out there)! Right in there with their beers. TVs have come through with the Games Ive Needed to See. Good to go to after youve been to the Zebra enough...(I stare at it).

I have been here four times for lunch and the food has been very good. The tacos are some of the best around. I always get the Session Chopped Salad with steak. The wait staff is very accommodating and we easily split checks in a large group. The bar is gorgeous too.

Pretty cool place to stop by on a weekend night if you are trying to find somewhere chill & fun to dance in Sacramento. Have super dope DJs on the weeked playing pretty good jams. Also have a front and back bar with a seperate DJ in each room. During regular hours on a weekday it is super chill with only a few people and the food is pretty good. Really enjoy the salads here

The garlic bread steak sandwich is to die for. I dont even like horseradish but the horseradish sour cream set the sandwich off perfectly. My husband enjoyed the thai wings too. Get the chipotle ranch in the side with sweet potato waffle fries!

Great brunch, I had the biscuits and Gravy which were perfect. Not to thick, not to soupy. The bacon was awesome as well plus the train shots are nice.

We got the steak sandwich and a burger, both were delicious. We also had the mac and cheese, which was bomb too. I like how the sauce didnt break as it tends to do at other places. The bartender was nice, took good care of us, recommended a good beer for me, and make a killer Moscow mule for my wife. We will have to come back for the booze slushies because the machine was down. Bummer!

The food was fantastic. This is one of the handful of places in Sacramento that I can get a satisfying vegan brunch (and my friends can eat all the meat they want). Service was a little slow but thoughtful. I cant wait to go back and try other things!

Went on a Tuesday night. Took forever to order the steak sandwich... ask for mayo and ranch when I ordered. Food came out 20 minutes later and never got a waiter or staff member to come close to the table to get that mayo or ranch. Wanted to like it but with so many other great places to eat in Sac, this one I cant recommend.

This Place Is Great, Went To A Wednesday Stand Up Comedy Night For My First Visit. Atmosphere Was Great, Comedians Were Really Funny And The Host Was Amazing. I Will Return And Recommend This Place Any Day Of The Week.

Chicken tacos are very very good, and nachos are satisfying to say the least. Great selection on craft beer as well and all within responsible price. I recommend this establishment.

Highwater is a pretty fun venue. Have only gone at night, their beer menu is pretty decent & their pricing is fair. Bartenders are mostly friendly & attentive. Food is a bit pricey for the quality, but their cocktails are $6 and they have great music and atmosphere.

Great ambiance. Friendly staff. Excellent selection of high end liquor. Prices are a bit steep, but thats to be expected in midtown.

Love this place! They have amazing food! The staff and the environment are so nice and welcoming! Great place for anyone old enough to visit, there is always a varied crowd here. This is also one of my favorite places to deliver UberEats orders for, theyre always so quick! This place is absolutely fabulous!

Amazing amazing amazing. Great chicken and waffles, great breakfast burritos, the antitoxin (I think that’s the name) is a delicious potent brunch drink. Their lunch menu is also great with the Mac n cheese being my favorite. Great atmosphere, knowledgeable staff.

I ordered the spicy breakfast burger with potatoes and an IPA on draft. Very tasty! Very clean place with multiple TVs and a patio area to drink and smoke.

The service was good and its a fun, very tight space. Drinks are a BIT pricy, but what loses a star is the facilities--I dont know if theyre always as bad as they were when we were there, but they were bad... Otherwise we had a great time

You could take your family here but it wouldnt be my first choice. Its a cool bar with really tasty food for a bar. The smell is more of a factor than i anticipated but... its a bar. Music is quiet enough during the day that you could read a book so thats a plus

I like this bar but liked it better when it was Pour House and had the vaping bar and store behind the main bar call Vapour House.

The Chuck Norris burger is amazing. The wine selection is very limited and weak. I did however try the watermelon jalepeno margarita which was spicy and addicting!

Rude customer service, i called asking for the owner they didnt ask for what is was concerning the guy was rude and assumed i was soliciting and hung up. A customer i guess is not allowed to call and ask for the owner to tell them how great their experience was and enjoyed the food. but when i receive customer service like that idk if i would even like to go back because they were rude on the phone i can imagine in person. customer service needs to be retrained on how to answer a phone.

The food is good, and some of the portions are massive (turkey club is one). Its petty consistent, usually pretty quiet during lunch, and the tap list is always on point. Ive never been upset or impressed by the service so that gets a pass. Definitely worth a visit if youre looking at it.

Highwaters food proportions are great, the service is good, and the drinks are reasonably priced. However, the mens restroom is nasty and one of the employees took away my dates bar stool and mine right in the middle of us having a good conversation. We had to stand thereafter at the bar. Very awkward. We left. Highwater isnt bad but its not great either.

Come here for trivia on Mondays. We are always treated extremely nice and we are taken care of very fast. Options for beer are great and the food is delicious.

Ordered grilled chicken sandwich n sweet potatoes fries. The fries was heavy handed this time with salt that a blob of whiteness visible on the surface so ask waiter if can have fries unsalted. He brought out a new fried batch under cooked. I ate them anyway cuz love sweet potato fries that much! Lol. Hopefully the 3rd visit, my fries will be perfecto.

Kinda shady late at night, got patted down and searched on the way in. They have a smoking area out back where you can take your drinks outside though, which is a big bonus.

Food is mediocre, service is touch and go, drinks are decent, beer selection is good, but the place is dirty like that old late night club that too much beer has been spilled over too many fights.

I liked Pour House, but I LOVE High Water! When I last went, they used the space well by having the DJ toward the back and live band (Total Recall - so good!) at the front. Bartenders were stretched thin but were still totally friendly and provided quick service and solid drinks.

Ive been to this place under many different owners and names and always understand why they go out of business...it wasnt busy when I was there but you wouldve thought it was with how slow the service was. I paid $10 for a specialty cocktail that was literally all ice and two sips of drink. Had the street tacos which were nothing like street tacos, just little tortillas with big slabs of unshredded chicken. Wont be going back again

Bartenders really know their stuff. Great cocktails, great beer selection. Order the wings that have been introduced since it became Highwater. Really good and, finally, a different take on a tired area of bar food. TVs for sporting events but they dont kill the atmosphere. Back patio is cool. Great place.

Service was excellent. Interior decor and theme were appreciated - intended to draw the younger crowd. Food that came off the grill was definitely a little charred.

Excellent food. New Mexico spices and good prices. Parking is a problem now but in the near future a parking garage is being built across the street so that should help. Staff are very friendly and helpful and are vwry accommodating.

Quirky downtown bar and venue a bit off the beaten path. With a small outdoor patio backed up to the train tracks, one of the novelties is $2 shots whenever a train goes by. They do have happy hour food and drink specials and a small venue in the back room. We enjoyed the Cajun pasta, French fries, and a steak salad. All were good, but not exceptional. Brew choices on tap were also good, but not stellar. You are also encouraged to order all food and beverage at the bar instead of from your table.

I like the name but definitely there is no water. But you can get high here if you keep drinking. I did not eat the food here. This was one of our sac beer bike stop. Overall the place is great for drinks. They have outside seating. And whenever the train passes you can get $2 drinks which we never got. No train passed....darn it.
