This place felt like my home a nice just cozy feeling if you give this place a bad rating you had to do something to deserve it?

There is not a rating to leave for our stay. We arrived and we were in the wrong condo that we later found out had no a.c. We got moved the next day and nothing was done for the first evening in the heat. The stay was not relaxing from moving from one to the other. When we returned back to Texas that is when we found out that we had brought back Bed Bugs. Yes Bed Bugs we have now been out almost 2000.00 for getting rid of them and I placed a call to the manager Larry and he said that they did not come from them but it was in our luggage that we took there. So I will no longer be a customer at this place because they could have cared less what had happened. He would check back with us to let us know and we have never heard from him a month later.

The Condo provided us with everything we needed. The staff was very friendly while checking in and out. Our balcony looked over the Inn of the mountain gods and the view of Sierra Blanca was Amazing.

Really clean place, really specious. Pool and jacuzzi clean as well. Cabins are super spacious

Good location with an excellent view of Sierra Blanco. The unit was clean, but dated and in need of some updating. The pool looked very nice, but we didnt have the time to take advantage of it. We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing staff, location, and updated amenities for my family to have an amazing week vacation in Ruidoso.

We had a very fun time at this location. Rather difficult to find the first time, but its very secluded, which is part of the appeal of the place. They have so many available amenities, including a swimming pool and jacuzzi, sleds for when you go visit White Sands, and a large collection of movies available to borrow from the front desk. The deer like to hang out in front of the buildings, so make sure to have your camera on the ready. Only saw a handful of wild turkeys, from a distance, and only once. The condo itself was huge, with a shared shower and an unexplained and inaccessible loft area.*Amazing view!*The only reason its not 5 is that the place does need some updating (broken grout and sunken ceiling in the bathroom, etc.).I

It is misleading to call High Sierra a resort. If you are looking for a true resort experience with a beautiful building, lots of onsite activities, amenities, restaurant etc., then look elsewhere. The property is old, with shoddy construction, outdated mismatched furniture and décor from the 70s. We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath upper floor unit; although ours had a Jack and Jill - 2 toilets with one shower. The living area is open concept, large and roomy. There is a fireplace, but firewood is not allowed - you have to buy fake logs if you intend have a fire. The TVs were all small and get limited reception. The kitchen was actually adequate – enough plates, pots/pans, utensils etc. for cooking. There was a washer and dryer in unit, but you need to bring your laundry detergent. Our unit was reasonably clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable – but you may want to bring your own pillows. Basic toiletries were provided in bathroom, but we had to check out a hair dryer from the office. The folks there were friendly and happy to help. If you run out of anything during your stay - just ask for more. The indoor pool was heated, with hot tub, change rooms with toilets and shower. It’s not all bad. This is a great location if you want fabulous scenic views, love nature, need some R&R and do not mind the very basic accommodations. The location of this property high up on the mountain affords amazing views of the Sierra Blanca peak and up close encounters with wildlife. The local mule deer, some of which would come up and beg for food or let you pet them, were the highlight for my family. While this is not the best Ruidoso resort in which we’ve stayed, overall I was happy and would consider coming back in a pinch. Preferably during warmer weather to enjoy one of the units with a huge wraparound deck where we could enjoy the view.

Large, beautiful and spacious. The pool n hot tub were the icing on the cake.

Booked a new year vacation. Amtie with the property confirmed our reservation few days before arrival. The night before arrival, our reservations were cancel and moved to a different lodge. Rooms are half the size, very old, views are not good. Paid 1400 dollars for 4 nights and got 400 dollar rooms at the new place. Tried to call multiple times but no one answers the phone. At this point have no choice but to take the cheaper condo and pay premium price.Horrible experience at best, won’t recommend this place to anyone

Great views from room

Spent the week here. Comfortable living area, forest out the patio door. Buildings need some maintenance but enjoyed our stay, would recommend to others. Lots of hummingbirds to watch all day long.

This place is high above the village of Ruidoso. You look down upon, lots of wildlife. Its quite amazing

Nice views, very large condo. Very dated and worn furnishings, and bathroom walls and ceiling were moldy.

I give them no stars. Their pool and hot tub has been off service since last year. When I called again to ask a year later and see if they had a date set on when this would be ready, they told me no. No apologies, no explanations... nothing. Very poor customer service

Beautiful view.

With just a bit of attention, the condominium wouldve been perfect. The young lady at the front desk was helpful and very sweet. The unit was nice enough, but needed some maintenance. We noted loose floor tiles and a broken toilet piece that needed glueing. There wasnt any bar soap in bathrooms or bedding for the sofa pull-out bed, but front desk quickly provided. Dishes didnt feel clean so I washed before using. The kitchen cabinet doors felt like they had grease buildup on them. I noted a few other areas where cleanliness was lacking. On the positive side, the condo was roomy and the views wonderful. The beds were comfortable and bedding clean. We didnt have an opportunity to use the pool, but it looked clean. I dont know that this condo would be.our first choice, but we would consider staying again.

Nice cozy place with a good view

Very nice large condo. Fully equipped kitchen. Free duraflame log for the fireplace. Nice view of the lake.

Nothing fancy, but functional 3 bedroom with kitchen served as home base for our mountain vacay.

There is no management quality control! Our unit was in need of many items broken, not working, missing linens, etc. etc. etc. Needs restoration and serious remodel. Was there a few years ago and it needed help then, but not this much! Robert and Rickey in maintenance were super! Deer family fun, views just gorgeous and best indoor pool and spa ever! Wont return until the daily rentals are liveable. Front desk said they are cutting back on tissue, etc. due to theft.....what? So the rest of us go without basics?

This place was amazing we didnt expect it being so nice . The pool does not work it was out they said its been out for a year the bed was a little uncomfortable but the service was great loved the way they helped they couldnt find where I paid and they were working with me to see what happened they didnt have where I paid Hotels.com but I showed them great service .

Good lodging. Clean and comfortable with a fantastic view. Its high, so if youre not acclimated to altitude drink lots of water before you come, and abstain from alcohol.

My wife and I have owned our time share at High Sierra for over twenty years. The location and view are amazing. Unfortunately maintenance has been an issue the past several years. The staff has always been awesome and if you can handle a little out dated condo you will enjoy your time spent there.

High sierra, more like bye sierra. This place was AWFUL. It was outdated, old and dirty. The services suck and the staff was awful. Do not come here, I left early from how bad me and my family were being treated. The view does not make up for how bad this place was.

The condo was a little outdated but very clean. The unit was bigger than we expected. Felt safe. Enjoyed seeing elk, deer and turkey around the condo. When I checked out I ask what kind of specials they had during this time of year (off season). 3 night stay get 4th night free. Would have been nice to have known that ahead of time. Stayed three nights but but didnt know about the special until checkout.

Beautiful scenery. We were all excited that the deers were not afraid n came up to us. KIDS were extremely thrilled. A place to remember!Only thing :( get RID of OLD TV--its at its end-of-life stage n pictures / color not capturing well anymore!! Theres a time to JUST let go n replace with NEW--this is one of them. Otherwise would luv to go back again.

This resort was a great disappointment. Never been to an RCI facility that was like this. Think twice before going here and beware of hidden costs. Check in staff had an attitude and acting like she could care less if we were there. In the unit the phone did not work, One clothes hanger in the whole unit and when went to front desk to get more we were handed wire hangers from a dry cleaners, Dishes were dirty, and badly scratched teflon pans to cook with, dirty glasses, silverware, etc. Decking had raised screws which were a tripping hazard, The floor level from carpeting to wood and to tile floors are at slight level which I stumbled over several times and as a senior citizen that is bad. Air conditioning did not work properly. Placed on a second floor when checked in and asked for a first so that we did not have to climb stairs and told no. There were many ground entry units empty. In fact most of the units first and second levels were. Then the entryway to go up stairs light burned out and stair way very narrow. Washing machine does not work properly. Reported several things to front office and told there is no maintenance person on property and would not be anyone available for several days. Had to remove our own trash or pay a $25.00 fee. Also was never told that there would be a $60.00 cleaning fee...Did not know this till after we left and saw it charged to us. WE DID NOT leave the place filthy..there were the towels, bed sheets and the usual cleaning to be done and that has to be done before the next people are checked in. Used our RCI points to stay here and it was not cheap to begin with. Will never return. Should have gone to Crown Point there in Ruidoso...that is a great place and have been there before.

We went for a three day weekend to Ruidoso to sky, and we really enjoy our stay at High Sierra Condominiums. The apartment was bigger that we think it will be, and the kitchen was well equipped. However, the apartments need to be renovated. For instance, the main bathroom shower didn’t work to good.

Older property, with age showing. But is clean. Needs minor repair inside and out. However, breathtaking views of the tall mountains offset the dated property.The tesort itself is located almost on top of a mountain intown.. Units are large and comfortable.

Becoming increasingly run-down, though the staff seems interested and tries to help. Location is great, but the property needs a $2 million infusion (my estimate) for across-the-board updates/improvements. Continuing to plug holes in the dike isnt enough.

Nice view, very quiet

The hotel is located at the top of one of the mountains and has wonderful views. We saw mule deer, elk, wild turkeys, a number of different bird species and even a little skunk making his way across the road. Unit 802 was upstairs and has the best views.

Huge with great views. Old, dusty, needed a few upgrades. Dishes, silverware didnt match. No plug on jacuzzi tub.

I was not able to be on time for check in due to bad weather conditions and the road was too slippery. The time for check-in is until 7 pm so we lost our reservation

Great views of the mountain and lake from the unit. Unit was large with good kitchen. Wifi was very slow. Hot tub was not working. Old TVs.

Very, very nice place, especially for the price. I was so, so pleased with the size of the condo. The photos dont do it justice. The view from the balcony was amazing!

The room was spacious and clean with the most beutiful view of the lake. The wild animals was around us with a nice friendship.

The installations are great, but the living room furniture is old, the toilet was not clean, the tennis court is not usable, the rest is great specially if you want to save on restaurant meals and the view is awesome.We will be back most definitely.

We had a great time at High Sierra. The location is amazing. Front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. The unit was clean and fully loaded with two rooms, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, large living area, wet bar, and balcony overseeing the Inn of the Mountain Gods property.
