I recently purchased a BDI TV console from Bright Ideas in Royal Oak. Sharon was extremely valuable in helping me pick out the one that fit in best with my decor. When my console was delivered, however, I noticed a furniture blemish that needed attention. I dealt with Lynda who was most cordial and willing to assist me in obtaining a new door for my console. In fact, I only needed to provide the information of the problem and she arranged the rest. I dont think I have ever received the kind of customized service that I was given at Bright Ideas. I have shopped there for many years because of the high quality products they carry, great selection and the highest quality service in the metro area. Beautiful modern furniture with great customer service. Just recently bought a kitchen table and dealt with Sharon, she was very helpful with the process of customizing it. Sharon is the best, and she was very knowledgeable and kind. The white glove delivery was perfect, and the delivery guys were very pleasant and professional. If I could give more stars, I would. I highly recommend this place.

I worked with Robert at clearance center. I am so happy with all my furniture. Robert was so helpful and trustworthy. The delivery service was also stellar. Four guys came..not 2 like other places. The pieces were heavy and they were cautious and professional. I highly recommend Bright Ideas and the clearance center.

Bright ideas has been my go-to store for decorating our new downtown apartment! I love the modern style and design of their furniture offerings and wide variety of options they offer. The sales reps are always helpful and never pushy which makes for a very productive and happy shopping experience!Their sales staff looked at photos of my apartment and helped me design a living room I love that turned out much better than I could have designed on my own. They have great interior design skills!

My husband and I recently purchased a stressless lounge chair from Bright Ideas, the first experience we had with this place of business. Sharon, our salesperson, was very well informed about the product and spent a lot of time assisting us. She exhibited a great deal of patience as we did not want to make a hasty decision. We initiated the purchase just prior to the coronavirus pandemic which delayed the order. Lynda kept in touch with me via text to keep me informed as to the progress and ETA. The chair worked out beautifully in our home and I am thankful to Sharon and Lynda for their personalized assistance. Would very highly recommend Bright Ideas.

Let me start by saying this- I’ve been everywhere for a couch. It seems during COVID, with everyone wanting to renovate, facilities not being open, etc, there have been no couches in stock. I’ve tried West Elm, Value City, Gardner White, Art Van (closeout stuff), Ashley... you get my point.I’ve been misdirected, pushed towards items that aren’t a good fit (color, size, support). I was getting desperate. I heard about Bright Ideas and decided I’d better give it a shot.When I walk in I’m greeted by Julie. Julie is a welcomed change to what I’ve been experiencing. She is calm, polite, and funny! There is no urgency in her demeanor, no pressure to try this couch, sit in this chair, just with me for the experience.I mentioned to Julie my meager budget and was not judged or anything like that. I’m trying to keep the purchase around 12-1400 and Julie was able to assist without issue. Did this limit my selection, absolutely. Bright Ideas has a wide range of quality sofas and sectionals. Julie educated me on the grade and quality or fabric and leathers, something I had not experienced at other places like Art Van or GW, simply because those stores don’t offer such customization.I left feeling great and plan to return to get a couch when supply can meet demand. This is of no fault of Bright Ideas. Covid has screwed everything up regarding supply.5/5!

Buying our furniture at Bright Ideas was definitely the right decision! Julie did a great job helping us with finding the right pieces of furniture and walking us through the decision process without any hurry. And more importantly, they were also great with immediately and fully resolving a minor problem we had a few months after we purchased! Glad we decided to go there!

My wife and I first went to Gormans Furniture and had a very bad experience, first at the Novi Store (Steven) and then at the Troy Store (Patti and Gormans owner, Tom Lias) buying kitchen chairs (Canadel) and then a Saloom table and chairs. We then went to Bright Ideas Furniture and Julie Currier was our salesperson. She was terrific and so was the entire staff. We had no problem buying our very nice Saloom table and chairs and will return there in the future.We are also impressed with the Saloom Company, a U.S. furniture manufacturer in Massachusetts.

Family owned with very high quality wares and extremely helpful, devoted and friendly staff. Needless to say, you will pay more for your furniture here than most generic places, but the quality, service, and options are well worth it.

We were helped extremely quickly and the people who work there know about each price so they can discuss with you in great deal about each piece which makes choosing a piece of furniture much easier. My wife and I have spent alot of money at Gormans which has great stuff but Bright Ideas has the same brands plus many more. If you are interested in Modern Furniture I highly recommend going here.

Great store packed full of cool items. Sharon was so helpful and eager to do right for me when I stopped in. They support local as much as possible and have very quality pieces. They even gifted wrapped a present I had from anouther store (just to help me out)!

Primarily over-priced IKEA furniture. I bought a bed, dresser, couch, recliner, floor lamp, and entertainment center a year ago. The lamp stopped working last week, the entertainment center is loosening at the joints and becoming wobbly. I knew it wasn’t high end furniture, but I could have saved a lot of money going to IKEA or Art Van. I wouldn’t recommend Bright Ideas for the price to quality ratio. European styling does not mean European quality.
