20 years living in Texas and countless times driving I35 between Dallas and Austin, San Antonio, Laredo & I never knew this trail was here. Very scenic, I’m sure my wife would love to snap some pictures in this surroundings!
Wonderful park with some classic bronze cowboy sculptures and well maintained walkways. The water is wading depth for fishing or water play. Great place for family fun or romantic dates.
When family or friends visit, we bring them to the Round Rock and tell the story. Its really nice to walk down the path to Memorial Park and back.
Awesome place to live.
Cool to check out. Walkways along the river. Careful when crossing the road near the Rock, you cant see the cars coming over the hill.
Beautiful place to see a sunrise!
Rock wasnt round at all. FALSE ADVERTISING
Its neat seeing the round rock in person. Its a nice thing to do as a family.
Went here for a walk and my boyfriend and I absolutely loved this park. Cool historical markers with details about The Round Rock and the wartime memorials were interesting to stop and check out. We walked the creek with our shoes off and the wagon wheel ruts still present in the creek bed were a truly awesome piece of history to get to experience together. Also- we happened by a huge crawfish chilling in the lake!
Great place for a picnic lunch
Such a great place to take your family for a day of fun!
Interesting historical value. Fishing, hiking, picnicking, biking or just passing time with your honey.
Everyone loves The Rock right!? Cool history marker that’s fun for a short visit. Walk around the beautiful grounds/park and enjoy nature while learning a little about the history of Round Rock. Parking isn’t great so I’d suggest you park behind the businesses adjacent to Brushy Creek. You need to dodge traffic to see The Rock and read the history marker sign.
Very beautiful and serene. Perfect for a quick get away to feel at peace.
Great place to take pictures fishing was really slow but some good size swimming around.
Cool place to swim with a nice water fall and a jump area
A pleasant, short walk through the park and under the 35.
THE ICONIC ROUND ROCK that marks this Central Tx land
Pretty neat park. Some a snake and some frogs
My kid loves to walk along the river and sometimes get in the water...
It seems like an ok spot to visit. It is right off to the side of the road and there is parking nearby. The road is extremely busy and is difficult to attemp to cross. Some neat informational signs kind of scattered around.
Small but worth seeing.
We had a great visit. We want to come back soon
Beautiful short walk with a playground for the kids with historic plaques
Theres a nice trail next to the stream (memorial Park) to enjoy spending time with the family
Really neat place to explore and learn about the history of Round Rock!
Fun letting the kids swim
Its a pretty cool and yes, round, rock!!
Great place for a history lesson!
Located in a pretty, historical park.
A little piece of the old west, right in the middle of the I-35 megalopolis. The wheel ruts from the Chisholm Trails stagecoaches are still visible nearby. A nice and well-maintained walking trail leads downstream from here.Parking is uphill to the south, near the intersection of Chisholm Trail and RM 620
Great place to hang out. Historical, but lots of fun to play in the rocks and stream. Fossils are easy to find too.
Wonderful littel town.
Kids had s great time splashing around
Great relaxing place for a stroll
Historic area and landmark, right in the middle of the stream! This is the river crossing for the Old Chisholm Trail going back to the era of the massive cattle drives of the 19th century. The Round Rock is rather underwhelming to look at but it was larger in the 1880s! Nearby are several historic buildings that are still in use, some of the oldest remaining structures in the area. The oldest building is the original stagecoach Inn just south of here on the SW corner of Round Rock Avenue (RM 620) and Chisholm Trail Road. Sadly, the local government is planning to tear it down soon to make way for a 620 freeway that will destroy whats left of the small town feel.
Great site. Being able to walk on the river and see the wagon tracks up close is really cool.
Cross over the street from where you park and its much better for swimming with dogs
Love the fact that you can get away from the big city bull and learn about the history of a place
A great place to discover the history of Round Rock.
Its a round rock.
When visiting Memorial Park it is worth a look. But its nothing remarkable other than its historical significance.
