We had a great time at the Movie Tavern! The theater was clean, there was plenty of room for distancing and the doors have foot handles so you dont have to touch the doors to open them. We were very pleased with the food we ordered as well, the BBQ burger was delicious! We plan to be back.

My favorite movie house hands down. I have many that are closer to my house but this one is smaller and feels more neighborhood-y. They always have great American food for all ages and tastes and they provide real butter with their popped corn. I loved their popped corn. Lots of memories here with family and friends. There is a full beverage menu for all ages with regular specials. The new automatic reclining seats are so comfortable. The push button servers are such a delight! They have $5.00 Tuesday movies with complimentary size of popped corn! Everyone should come and enjoy what they have to offer.

I was really impressed by this theater. It was clean & sanitized for us to enjoy our movie. The food & drinks are a bit on the expensive side, but not terribly more than most restaurants. The food came out hot & was pretty decent. I would definitely come back to watch another movie here.

COVID-19 ReviewWe went for a date night. They added step m pull so you don’t have to touch the door handles. They have food ordered via the website and a touch less experience. They’ve added nostalgic movies to try to keep business going. The employees were incredibly helpful and everyone asked me if I needed anything. They taped off the seats after cleaning to show they’ve been sanitized.I felt safe, entertained, and well taken care of. I’ll definitely support this establishment.

I attended Movie Tavern for the First Time, Wednesday Evening, Dec 11, with my Wife who has been there many times. I had my EXPECTATIONS but the reality was even better, The chairs are outstanding comfortable beyond my expectations. The Staff was very friendly and did such a fine job. Thank You, Teri, for such fine service!!!! I very seldom visit theaters in the past ~15 years due to overly loud audio. When I do see a movie, I carry ear protectors. I am so happy to report the Audio for our visit to see Midway was perfect. Although this was my FIRST visit, it shall not be my last. It was a perfectly enjoyable evening, Well, except for one item; bear with me on this. Why does Movie Tavern withhold serving Ginger Ale? Thus, no splash of Ginger Ale for either my Irish Whiskey or Johnny Walker Black. A very minor thing which I hope will be corrected very soon.

They are definitely trying to work around the covid-19, and I think they are doing a fantastic job with it. The seats are very comfortable and spaced-out

Alcoholic beverages no liquor put in them or so very little it could not be tasted. We had a party of 8, a friend ordered a whiskey drink which should be brown, but looked like flavored water. My husband was very specific on how he wanted his nachos, they came were nasty nasty and after a few bites discovered onions in them when waiter told hes allergic to onions. My food never came. Another friend said her food was awful. My daughter had the mushroom bacon cheeseburger, she said it was good but very dry. Waitress took my husbands nachos and the receipt, asked to take off bill, take my food off bill since my entire party was served and 15 minutes later I still had not received my food after 30 she had not come back I put the light on. She comes and says the manager agreed to refund our money and receipt will be given shortly. We finished watching the movie, still bo receipt. I go to the counter and manage knows nothing about my order, searching computer for my order then the man that took my order at the counter before movie started tells manager he helped me. Finally I see the lady waitress that was serving in the movie and she goes and finds the receipt. Took about another 10 minutes to get my refund. The theatre itself is nice but will NEVER order food or alcoholic drinks there again.

Ticket prices were a couple dollars more than most places but it was worth every penny! With the reclining seats I felt like I was watching a movie in my living room with my friends only much better. I will most certainly return at my earliest opportunity.

It was really nice! My mom and I went, and right when we walked in, we felt welcomed by everyone! And the waiters when delivering your food tried to go at the same time to give you the bill in order to not disrupt the movie. There were some times when theyd give you something that wasnt yours, but it wasnt as often which is good!

My only complaint is that its so freezing in there it is the winter time and the wind is blowing at 25 miles an hour today and they have the air conditioner on so they could literally increase the guests comfort and save money if they would cut the air off.

Yesterday was my very first time here! I absolutely LOVED it! I came with a friend, we had a girls lunch date and this is such a great concept! Afternoon movies are very affordable! They food isn’t too bad, just not a lot of selections for those who don’t eat meat! But overall, I had a great time and enjoyed myself! I’ll return again soon!

A little pricey but the recliners are very comfortable! Where else can you get your favorite draft beer delivered to your table as well with dinner? All while watching your new favorite movie.

Tuesday nights are $5 and free popcorn for members. Super comfy seats, great sound and picture. Easy to spend upwards of $60-100 once you look at the menu and your two boys want burgers and shakes.

I really have 2 grades for this business. The movie venue is wonderful. Limited seating but the comfort of the viewing experience is terrific. Also offer some discount admission prices...check them out. The food was just fair. I wouldnt eat there again though the service was excellent. Wide range of beverage choices, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Movie tavern is a great concept! Comfy seats and you can drink! However, the food is mediocre and the wait staff is horrible. May consider ordering drinks and food at the same time as they May or may not be back before the end of the movie. It took 20 min to even give our drink order. Then when we pushed the blue button halfway thru the movie, it took 25 min for a different server to come. $17 for a hamburger should come w at least decent service. 3rd time going there, 3rd time disappointed by the service.

It would have been a great experience but I was not given anything to drink with my meal. I called the attention of the waiter to it thrice. He would left without bringing drink. That was not a good service in my opinion.

Great service, both on the way in and during the movie. I kept hitting the recline button with my hip, which was distracting, and the toilet was too close to one side in a handicap stall. People were wonderful, and Bad Boys was a fantastic birthday present to myself.

As a movie house its great, popcorn and non-alcoholic drinks are good. The food aspect - eat before or plan to eat afterward. The food WAS fantastic, now even Waffle House at its worst is better.

Took my mother here for opening night of star wars. This theater used to be the best around now the chairs are missing fabric or are cracked, the service is slow and when paying with cash I got asked if I needed change ($20 on a $12 check), responded yes then was told theyll be back sometime by the end of the show.

Horrible parking. Had to park behind buildings. Food was sub par. Came cold. Drinks were watered down. Giving this 2 stars because the seats were comfortable.People are disgusting and by the end of the movie things were spilled or someone got sick and trash all over the floors. Waiters do not give you napkins unless you ask. Sauces tasted strange like the ketchup had been sitting in a metal bucket for too long.First time here. I tried it, I dont like it. The food is great there, service is a bit slow sometimes, but servers are wonderful. I recently visited for my birthday & the first ever time going it was the unwelcoming rude employees i have ever encountered before. They even know check purse sizes which is new & wish I knew ahead of time, but they never checked my bag, they just awkwardly stood there as you pay for a ticket. Very uncomfortable, I thought there was a full moon out. I never had any issues with Movie Tavern till that night. Prices are a little high, but i enjoy eating while watching my favorites!

Always an enjoyable experience at Movie Tavern. All seats have plenty of leg room and the popcorn is decent. They also have real matinee ticket prices, a definite plus. They dont advertise this but they also have a veteran ticket price, along with students and seniors.

Nice team there. Just they seem to be somewhat scatter brains. Food comes out incorrect and late many times. Final bill needs adjusted sometimes. Still have 4 stars for the nice service received. Other companies visited, have similar food issues, but staff terrible (Studio Movie Grill ). So Movie tavern is the place I’ll go.

I came on a Tuesday because I saw signs all over the theater and on their website that movies are $5 on Tuesday’s and you get complementary popcorn...I guess that changed because I was told I had to be a member in order to get the complementary popcorn. As I was told this, a sign came up on the screen saying “complementary popcorn on Tuesday’s” I pointed to the screen and said to the employee that the sign does not say anything about being a member. I was then told that the rules changed back in August...false advertising is not a great way to manage customer expectations and keep customers coming back. Management, you need to make sure what your communicating to customers is accurate. I won’t be coming back anytime soon.

After visiting other theaters set up like the Movie Tavern, I have to say that thus location is one of the best. The prices are good, the food is good, and the theaters are awesome. They adrwss issues quickly, and keep the movie going experience fun for the family...

Great place to see first-run movies. There are some bargain ticket prices available if your budget is tight. Beverages (both alcohol and not) available and food from appetizers on up. Neither my companion or I was impressed with the food...just average. Service was very good but we were at a weekday matinee that was sparsely attended. Best of all is the seating. Both spacious and very confortable.

Nice place for drinks and a movie. The idea of dinner with the movie only works if you get there early enough to order your food and allow to be prepared before the movie starts. We got there 30 mins before our show ordered a drink and appetizer at the bar. After serving our drinks, the bartender said he could take our seat number and bring out the appetizer. So we took our drinks and got seated in the theater. Our waitress greeted us and I let her know that I had ordered an appetizer at the bar thinking she would check on it. Despite this fact, it was a long time before it arrived. I even used by call button during the wait which did nothing. When it did arrive, it was barely warm and I expect sat at the bar for a while till someone figured out where it belonged. So either eat at bar or wait and order from your seat. Those who ordered food from their seats dont seem to have had any problems.

Favorite place to see a movie. I love the comfortable seating. Staff is real nice as well.

Broke my finger running up the steep stairs and the movie was great! Crystal clear screens and awesome staff! Highly recommend to first timers and anyone curious about coming here. Do it!

I love the reclining seats and the dine in while watching the movie option. They have an eclectic menu as well as alcoholic beverages. I had the Asian bowl and it was good. There are kid options as well. The staff is pretty friendly and they have all of the latest movies. If you want to treat your family and youre on a budget try the $5 movies on Tuesdays or the matinees earlier in the day.

This theatre is much better than it used to be. Food is great. THeaters are pretty small and drinks are good. Best theater in the Roswell area.

Great concept. Comfy chairs. A little on the pricey side. Food...the Caesar was fresh however someone, in their haste, forgot to slice my pizza! Had to rip it apart. Order was taken quickly after pressing the button, delivered in decent time. Already planning our next movie night there.

Hi we are returning members and love our movie tavern each week. Our family loves the comfortable seats, but we are having a issue that’s recurring with the wait staff, the blue button as been pressed after a hour wait for our food and everyone else has their food. We have talked with managers and have been giving some credit back. It’s happened 3 times now and my family tonight watching white Christmas started talking about the wait time and blue button as been pressed for 30 mins and no customer service. our new family is growing. Which means we are bringing new members too you. Can someone in a higher Position please contact either us or the location too resolve this matter?

It was a good day to go check out a movie. Tuesdays are 5 dollar ticket days. That was awesome. The movie that we saw was The Secret Life of Pets 2. The movie wasnt great but it was nice to hang out with the kids. They seem to enjoy it.

This theater provides food and beverage service at your seat. The concept is a good concept, but the execution is lacking. The servers seemed confused. Someone elses order was delivered to our seats. When our order arrived it wasnt right and the popcorn wasnt hot and it didnt have much if any of the butter we had to pay extra for. The prices are inflated, which is typical for a theater. Id rather get my own refreshments and know that Im getting what I order without disrupting the movie.

So disappointed. I had to leave my purse in the car because of a new rule regarding purse size. I only found out upon arrival. Not cool. The movie was late because of short staff. Service was slow. The whole vibe was not customer friendly. I will not go again with all the options around to see movies. No thanks.

My Mom and I went to see Star Wars Jan 21st. We ordered our food and drinks. It came out quickly. (THIS WAS THE ONLY GOOD PART) The food wasnt good, barely any alcohol in my alcoholic beverage and I actually had to leave the theater to find our server because she never came back to check on us!! There were multiple people with their blue lights on. Extremely disappointed after having to spend $100 dollars on that... I will never go back to the Movie Tavern.

I love this place. My wife and used to go all the time before our one year old.Food is better than you would expect. It’s not a 4 star dining experience but the apps and burgers are good. Think Applebee’s plus a little better.Seating is superb. Love the MTX theaters. . Servers are great.As a restaurant it would 3 stars. A movie theater 4 stars. But executing them both together is a five for experience.

It is a cool experience. The chips were really stale but the guacamole was good.

Would rather you leave large purse in car to be stolen than let you bring in, I object for any coop to tell me what I size purse I am too carry some got refunds only no more than ten in movie theater children out of school for holiday, this country taking our freedom lot stock and barrow, if guns can be in all purses but no purse check at all which I wouldnt mine only continued on for my grandchildren. Treatment was in poor taste.

I thought it would never have to do a review of this theater. Since it open up and coming here to see many movies. I will not be coming here anymore last Wednesday I went through the go see the joker it was a pretty good movie. But I was just going through my receipts my server Brandon wrote it on my receipt for some reason HAHAHAHAHAHA. Never brought the food out - called them with the button a second time half way through the movie - the guy said he would check it out, but never came back - really disappointed as the food during the movie is the whole reason one goes to Movie Tavern. Just poor service. Will go to another theatre from now on. I’ve had the food there before and as most people post, it’s mediocre at best. Go for the movie and big comfy seats, but DO NOT buy the $17.00 hamburgers and so forth.

Clean, neat and many choices to pick. Most theaters are large with comfortable recliners. Food and beverage service is available during the movies. Food was good with an appealing selection. The service was very slow ans they missed some of our order but didn’t charge us for it. Worth a visit!

They charged me for a refill once. I didnt catch it until I came back and found on the menue that refills were free. Other than that its a good environment to watch a movie. I wish they would dim the lights more. The seats are extra comfy.

Went for the first time on Valentines day seats were comfortable yet way to close to the screen... watching the movie was uncomfortable and it took forever to get my order of food and then when we finally got it it was cold and was missing ingredients!

This was my first time watching a movie at this Movie Theater. The staff was very nice and very friendly. The popcorn was fresh and buttery. The theater was clean and the reclining seats were clean and comfortable. I will definitely watch movies again at this location.

It’s the closest and most convenient...but we’ve been going for 5 years and each time say we aren’t going back. The food is HORRIBLE (it’s cafeteria grade at best) yet they charge $$$. Eat before you go. It’s the worst fried and cheapest quality products.

This group has made a great mark in the movie entertainment venue. They offer a $5.00 Tuesday for all with a free small popcorn and rest of the night the prices are just like any other theater. The seats are amazing and the servers are great. My particular reason for writing this review is because of what they charge for food items and Ill just mention 1. I ordered a regular bottle of water and they stuck me with a $5.00 bill which the group I was with all agreed that it should be at max, $3.50. Listen I believe in a profit but $5.00 for a bottle water shows me that the free popcorn is just a facade. They increase the charge for food items to make up for it. If you say its free then let it be free.Besides that we love your Tavern just wont be ordering water or soda..sorry but I work too hard for my money.

Terrible 1st experience! They shouldnt even sell 1st row seats. Its impossible to even see the screen, we waited forever for a server, waited over an hour for food, my meal was wrong and had to wait another 15 minutes to receive the correct meal. It was insanely expensive. $70 for movie tickets and another $80 for dinner for a family of 4. The screen size was great however selling seats in the first 2 to 3 rows gives you a headache you are so close.

We have been to this theater many times. It is comfortable.If you want to recline only plan to do it in one theater. The other theater seating in the complex do not recline.The food is not gourmet! The food is far from gourmet.If you have to change your movie reservation forget about it, unless you drive all the way to the theater before the movie starts.That doesnt help much if you are changing your reservation for another day or later time. Too bad, thats the RULES!

This used to be the go to place for seeing a movie. Comfortable chairs, good food and service and an enjoyable experience. After the purchase by Marcus Theaters the quality of food and service has gone downhill. With the theater industry changing to try and offer more to bring customers in and fending off patrons watching in the comfort of their home on streaming services, decreasing the quality of the product doesnt seem like a winning idea.

This movie theater always has good deals. The staff are very friendly, and I have never had an issue with them. I removed 1 star because my food has been late a couple of times, and I find that the bathrooms could be cleaner.

I used to love this movie theater for its comfortable seats, good theater, and mainly the food. My friends and I come here about more than twice a year and watch a movie and eat dinner and dessert there. However, the prices have recently skyrocketed up on food and drinks which is a shame. Due to this, I can’t afford to eat there anymore and can’t even afford to buy a bag of popcorn and a drink. What a shame!!! Will only be coming here once in a while with friends just to watch a movie, nothing more

Unfortunately they changed their menu by removing breakfast!!! This menu is now similar to their competitors. This was the only reason we took our child here for movies. Food prices are high, but this venue is clean and worth checking out. Eat before or after the movie. Bring back the original menu for more stars!!!

Love the Dreamloungers! You can sit in style with your feet up. Bring a little blanket cause it can be chilly. If you forget one dont worry you can buy one there. Arrive early to order food and settle in before your feature film starts. Good food too!

They discriminate against women with children with their new policy on purses. No purses over 12”. We won’t be back. There was no disclaimer before I bought tickets. I would’ve never purchased them. Back to AMC. They don’t have such dumb rules.

My fiancé went to see The Invisible Man here for our weekly date night after work! This was NOT our first time there, so we thought we’d have a great experience just like the other times. We went to the 7:15 show, had great seats and were excited to see the movie. It was late so we didn’t want to order any “heavy” food, so we ordered fries, quesadillas and nachos! Pretty simple foods, not finger foods but simple. We ordered our food at around 7:35 ish maybe even 7:40 and started to enjoy the movie. Everyone around us getting their food and we actually got our drinks within minutes of ordering but our food is nowhere to be found. The movie is 2 hours long but it’s now 8:20 and because the movie was so good I completely forgot about the food until my stomach started to rumble. I ask my fiancé if I should say something and although he’s irritated too, he says to wait a few minutes. Finally around 8:45 our food comes out. The waitress who took our order is not the one who delivered it. I ask to speak to a manager because there’s no way it should taken that long too prepare and deliver the food we ordered. We touch our food and it’s COLD!!! So now I’m thinking the food was ready the whole time but sat there waiting for someone to bring it to us. I finish my quesadillas but barely touch my COLD FRIES. My fiancé doesn’t even eat 2 bites of his nachos and is now very upset. I offer him my COLD FRIES, but he resists. So here comes another girl offering us 2 free movie passes and some items knocked off our bill. She is NOT the manager but asks after her peace offering if we still want to see the manager. I told her we’d discuss it and get back to her. Why exactly did she come, when we asked to speak to a manager?? Anyway, we finish the movie (which was absolutely amazing) leave without speaking to a manager and I told my fiancé I’d definitely write a review. I am a very generous tipper! I have worked in some capacity of customer service my entire life, so I know how tough some customers can be but there are some things that are unacceptable on the businesses part and waiting an hour for practically finger food, while everyone else around you is being served is NOT OKAY.

We live next to a theater. We make the extra 15 minute drive to movie tavern. Awesome place that appreciates their customers. $5 movie and free popcorn on tuesdays. Unbeatable! Weve had 1 mishap where we missed 5-10 minutes of our movie because of a misunderstanding about it being cleaned but they made up for it with a free movie ticket. Keep it up!

Seats were great... The food was mediocre... Cold chicken sandwich and bad tacos. Stick to tender. That seems to be ok.

For a dine-in theater, it was VERY clean!! The waiter that I had was very attentive and nice. And was even kind to the mistake he made with my sisters order. Food was great, as I had the MT Bacon Cheeseburger and my sister had the Crispy Chicken Ranch sandwich. The recliner seats were very comfy too! I believe Ive found my new favorite place to go see movies.

Had one tonight that was serving others before us and we got there way earlier. Plus both buttons on our chairs didnt work... Gotta fix that G 11& 12. But overall great place! Tickets. Were not bad. Apparently starting in July if you want complementary popcorn you will need to be a member. I am unable to buy tickets online so I am not a member. I did like that their seats reclinedA fun place see movies.

We have gone here for years but recently things have headed south .. last few visits have been very sad. Yesterday we ordered $100 worth of food that was very late.. we had to beg for drinks and our server never came back after taking our order. We had to ask other servers for help. We left the little light on for 30 min. We spent $200 taking the family out and I will never return. Not worth the gamble. The manager just shrugged and moved on. I guess business is good enough that service is not expected. I am sad as I did like going here.

Servers are soooo bad. Who manages the servers? Their awful behaviour and poor performance really hurt the experience. Our server never came back on several occassions.
