Oh this place is a Roseville gem! Always lovely year round. So well maintained, peaceful, healthy plants and flowers. Perfect location for family or nature photos. Extraordinary during lilac season. Great walking paths too. I’m very grateful to all the volunteers who keep this a special, happy place!

So glad this center exists. I found a baby squirrel in my yard. After waiting about 2 hours, hoping it would be found by its mother, I found the center on Google. The staff was wonderful. They took the little beastie, asked a few questions to help care for it and actually thanked me for bringing it in. They also gave me an email address so I could check up on its health.

Does anybody remember the days of this being an actual floating Boardwalk when youd walk on the boards and theyd roll under your weight where was closed board walks or an observation tower with broken stairs.Miss treated and failing apartbecause the city failed to care for it and it was missing boards and there was space where you would have to jump over Open Water to get through? Some of the walkway passed wide open water and there was water on both sides. What a trill.I miss the days of taking my dates there carving our names into the Wood on that old tower.Robert Westlund for Mayor.

I found this place when a wounded turkey ended up in my yard. Its not as close as some of the nature centers near me but it has a Aviary rehab so thats where I went. The volunteers were very nice answer the phone quickly, and took the turkey to get assessed and treated, or if two injured or sick to survive, humanely put out of its misery. I wasnt there very long so I dont have great details about the Nature Center or the park around it but it looks nice. And its nice to know that theres a place to take wounded animals, sooner or later you need a place like this.

In addition to the nature center, which is wonderful, educational, and a beautiful place to visit, the associated Wildlife Rehabilitation Facility next door handles thousands of injured or orphaned animals each year! It survives completely on donations, so everyone who visits should donate whatever they can! Its a great way for children to see the results of volunteering and donating!
