I could spend a fair amount of time in here just looking at their tanks. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Fair pricing and always a good selection. This is my go to place for saltwater and coral reef aquarium supplies. Fish, corals, and other tank inhabitants always look healthy.

I like this place. Especially the ladies. They are super friendly and a joy to talk with. Everyone here, however, is very knowledgeable about their products and what they carry. My babies are happy so Im happy.

Wonderful store with dedicated staff. Ive seen the same people working there for years. They’re always available to answer questions for the novice or to be sounding boards for more intermediate advanced owners. Wonderful diverse selection. The worse thing I could say is they have so much you really have to take the time investment to look around but most assuredly what you want, is somewhere. And if it so happens it isn’t, they’ll procure it for you. Love the betta selection and even though I don’t do saltwater tanks, the exotic corals and sea life are better then a trip to most aquariums in Michigan. Great fun, reasonable prices. Once I found this place I haven’t gone to another since.

Gave me me some free stuff when I donated my fish!. Just some love bait but still you usually get nothing when you take your unwanted fish to other stores. I have alot of tanks and sometimes I just need to rehome a couple here and there

Went here, and two other places shopping around for a store I could trust. They have some nice fish, but they are not informative. I found out I lost fish because I was misinformed, and the place I go to now has helped me so much! You have to be educated on the fish you want before you buy them! Unless you find a place like I did that are not just out to sell you fish. I had to ask alot of questions. If I didnt I would have lost more fish!

This place is incredible, it has the most fish Ive ever seen from saltwater to freshwater. Very unique fish assortment. They have live rocks and corals. The staff was nice and polite and had knowledge of all I asked. Ive always loved this place. Great place just to visit and look. Interesting!

I was in the area looking for a snake, decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. Based on their name I didnt expect a huge reptile selection, but stopped in anyway. After taking a look around, I was impressed. The store was well kept and clean, the staff was very friendly and very helpful. They couldnt help me find what I was looking for, but they were able to point me in the right direction and seemed genuinely happy to do so. Definitely recommend this establishment.

This place is always great to us. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and always go out of their way to ensure we have the best experience possible. They have a wide variety of all kinds of fish and have great new additions very often. This store gives the definition of “above and beyond” a whole new meaning! Great selection of fresh and saltwater fish and supplies. They had a lot of different types of shrimp and plants and decor and wood and food and everywhere I looked I was distracted by something cool. I recommend you check this place out, bring a kid, kids love fish tanks. Every place has their ups and downs, I was impressed that I didnt see any sick or dead fish unlike some other stores. I seen one shrimp that was dead but I didnt look in many of the salt tanks so it could be a different situation over there. (the salt water fish are exotic and rightly expensive)

Rows and rows of fully stocked tanks with beautiful fresh and saltwater fish. They have tanks, tank stands, aquarium accessories, and lots of feeder options for your pets. There are a couple of reptiles available in the back, as well as a little selection of tarantulas. The biggest surprise for me during my visit was the dedicated fairy garden section, full of adorable little figurines and plants. All the animals appear in good health. The staff is friendly and happy to answer your questions. Plus, when I visited the owner had his dog there who was absolutely adorable. Overall a cool little place.

I absolutely love this place. Everyone is so helpful and they have just about everything you could possibly need. Im a pet parent to two goldfish so my needs arent terribly complex, but I have an unpopular tank size and theyve saved my bacon more than once getting parts and accessories. Its also a ton of fun to look at all the fish!

They carry both fresh and salt water fish, and every supply you might want including an incredibly large selection of decorations. Their fish are healthy. They also have a huge selection of fairy garden items.Whatever you do, dont buy fish at Meijer. Go somewhere like this where they care about the animals.

I occasionally stop in this location when Im in the area for seeing a gas station friend, eating at a Chinese resturant, applying at a car wash or rite aid. Large selection of various tropical fish, tanks and supplys.

First time there. All fish. No land creatures unless you want a tarantula. Friendly staff. More exotic fish so will be more money to buy any fish unless you want a Betta. Interesting place to browse.

Awesome of selection if salt and fresh water

A lot of sick fish on the sales floor and dyed axolotl. Reptiles were sickly and the poor veiled chameleon was kept on carpet with not much to climb on or any vertical space.

Not the same since Bill has left. Came in to look for some coral frags. They have a tank with 25 and 10 dollar corral frags. Chose a 10 frag and the gentleman said no its a mistake and should be 25. Chose another and once again he said no it should be 25. And then places both of them on the 25 dollar side. So then I chose a 25 dollar peace and he said, oh no thats more. Please why the hell do you put a sign that says all frags 25 on the left and 10 on the right. And the lady with long black hair always wants to over charge you. No thanks, there are 4 other stores near by that have cleaner tanks and helpers that are willing to make a sale.

Its a pretty decent shop about average overall price-wise. Coral is a little high in price. I dont know much about fresh water or reptiles but their pastel ball python at 150 is way high.

Wide selection of fish, large selection of other products and the employees seemed to be engaged.

Love this place they have some great prices and they are pretty knowledgeable. Sometimes the staff has their off days but we all do. I always recommend this place as one of my top saltwater places to people.

I have no bad words to say about oceans and seas the staff is amazing they have a great variety of quality fresh and marine fish. I have been a hobbyist all my life and my 8year old has started his own collection. The staff is always welcoming and have no problem answering all of his questions they have been very helpful in guiding him to choose compatabul species for both is warm and cold water tanks. We wont go anywhere else.

Stopped by for the first time on Oct 19, 2017. Great selection of tropical fish, including some hard to find fish. Best selection of freshwater shrimp that I have seen. Lots of decorations and aquariums too. All of that is more than enough for me to shop there again, but for me the most impressive aspect of this store was the honesty of both people working there that evening. Of all the stores in the Metro Detroit area for anything tropical fish, Oceans and Seas is definitely one of the best!

A lot of dead fish in tanks. Corals are way overpriced. Saltwater tanks are unkempt. Too much clutter. Fairy gardens? Really? Its supposed to be an aquarium store.
