Cool head shop and more. An Eastside OG. Smoking supplies, reptiles and cages, metaphysical supplies, body jewelry, clothing, memorabilia ect. Just gotta come check it out to fully understand. Some items can be pricey in todays age of Amazon shopping but overall a good experience. My fav is the crystal section. Kudos to the people keeping it going all these years later.

My mom took me as a kid and I loved it. Got my first piece from there along with some cool art and bobble heads. She took me there as a kid and today I got to take my daughter there. She loved seeing all the different things and animals.

They had rabbits in really upsetting conditions :( flemish giants in little pens and crates, sitting in their own waste and obviously stressed out. Half a dozen tortoises packed in a wooden pen. Every employee in there wore their mask under their nose. Was super excited to spend dollars here but I wont be back.

My husband and I visited this store twice in one week (always like to give a business at least two opportunities)because my daughters recommended this store to us. We actually visited with one of our daughters and purchased bracelets and necklaces. Both young ladies that helped us were lovely on both occasions. Unfortunately, as a copper colored American in this country it is unsettling to be watched so intentively..especially my husband and to not have a choice to place your items in a basket and carry them up yourself to the register like any normal shopping experience. I understand this is probably some type of store policy to cut down on theft but consequently it treats everyone as a thief..this may be cool with some people but doesnt sit right with me. When we visit stores we pay attention to how were treated by employees, store managers and owners as well as how they treat each other..it tells you a lot about the owner and hiring manager. My husband waited at the counter while a older man(my daughter believes he was the manager or owner) made eye contact with him saw him standing there didnt speak to him or acknowledge him and went back to a, in my opinion, a unprofessional conversation about trash not being taking out from the previous night. They have nice things but you can find nice things anywhere..its the way Im treated in a store that solidifies my repeat business. Also, one of the bracelets my daughter just purchased broke after wearing it for three days. Not a big deal things like this can happen but I told my daughters that $230.00 is a small price to pay to see someones true colors even if its a business. Thank you again to the two young ladies and the one bigger gentleman that choose to go against the culture of the store and genuinely help us..we appreciate you!

The road should deserve nothing less than five stars!! I come in there as much as I can and I feel so welcomed by the employees... they take great care of their animals.... I have been searching for moldavite and the Road show has it I highly recommend it... it is life-changing this metaphysical store is my go to place... my whole apartment is filled with your tapestries and posters... animal house, Caddyshack, fear and loathing in Las Vegas, Pulp fiction, pink Floyd, grateful Dead...thank you guys for all that you do and I am from Chicago I moved here recently.. I had a store like this bag at home but nothing beats the Road show!I hope you guys are open on Labor Day

Decided to stop in with my cousin today since I’m from Dallas, Texas and wanted some crystals. In the shortest words, this store is nothing but AMAZING! Beautiful decor, wonderful selection of vintage art, custom prints, tapestries, crystals, even exotic animals! The staff was VERY knowledgeable and kind, and overall added to the environment in a very positive manner, no push to purchase or anything! Overall, this store has everything you could ever want to complete your metaphysical asthetic, and I ended up walking out with over $300 worth of stuff AMAZING experience unlike anything else!

We had a situation involving a piece we bought recently and believe me when I say my anxiety level was rising until we could get back to the store and speak with Jacob.Jacob was a ray of Sunshine!!! He was very chill yet professional and fair in how he handled the situation, we walked out feeling we had been respected and treated well.An unfortunate situation had a good outcome.Very appreciative of Jacob. We love coming to The RoadShow, have been going there since they opened at this location, we will be friends for life.

I have been to the road show many times and usually bring a friend, telling them.how cool this place is. I went there this afternoon because the friend I bought there a couple months ago wanted to get a couple Christmas gifts she espied our last visit. This place must be under new management because the inventory has shifted to a more retail level and we were harassed constantly by employees. Most were obese but one was particularly offensive by following a ing us into the neon room and hearing at us to not touch anything. We were so turned off we purchased nothing on this trip and wont be returning because of the negative experience. To bad this used to be a pretty cool store to browse

Hadnt visited in quite a while and popped in for some incense the other day. The staff seem a lot better at balancing theft prevention with customer service than in years prior. I was asked if I needed help with anything or had any questions every few minutes or so while picking out sticks and she was friendly about it. There was a guy just sort of standing watch over things in the middle of the store who was also polite. The woman who rang me up was also friendly and professional. No weird social aggression the whole time I was in there, just a pleasant chill experience getting some incense sticks. Major improvement from years past.

If you like to shop in stores with really cool stuff but are constantly followed and stared at like you have thief tattooed on your forehead then this is the store for you. They are probably upset about social distancing guidelines because they cant breath down your neck and ask if you want to buy that 20 times.

Been going here for years, when I was a kid we used to go to TRS when it was in the complex next to Walmart if I remember correctly. My Dads snake actually had Babies and the roadshow bought the babies off him lol. Staff has always been great prices are reasonable and people treat u with respect. Glad this place is still around, my 5 year old daughter loves the store the same way I did as a kid. I’m glad a place like this still exists in 2020! We will be in there today lol

I love this store. I have been going to this store for many many years. They have unique items, good prices, a great staff and this is why I keep coming back. The owner is also very nice. I had an issue a few years back with an item (which out of hundreds of items purchased, the only issue I ever had), he was very polite and took care of the problem immediately. I was a little skeptical going to a metaphysical store for a reptile, but I was given a good reference so I stopped in to have a look. I was very happy with what I found. The store was well kept, the habitats were clean and seemed to be set up appropriately for the animals they were housing. The woman working in the reptile department was super friendly, super knowledgeable and was happy to help me out. Im fact, all of the staff I interacted with was the same way. I ended staying a little longer than I needed to just to shoot the breeze with the people working there. Its a bit of a drive for me, but I expect to make another trip out there in the future. Awesome place.

I have two small minor children. Which I take there once in awhile. Just to look at the exotic animals. Its a well-kept store. friendly people and they allow their children to look and sometimes hold the animals. My daughter and her husband frequent the store.

I really like this store, the employees are super nice and really helpful. They have so many awesome products here, from incense, crystals, to clothing, jewelry and vegan hair dyes like Arctic Fox. Their prices are great. Their reptile section is awesome. They also usually have adorable bunnies and hedgehogs.

This is a very cool place.

Very unique and cool looking store with and a very wide variety of items for sale and have been a staple business in the are for a very long time, and multiple family members have shopped here for years. That being said I was a little disappointed with my recent experience. I went with a friend to check out the reptiles and crystals but was shocked with the condition of a couple of the bearded dragons, very malnourished and missing ends if tails and nails as a result of being housed together. Bearded dragons should not be housed together, I understand you guys dont have the space to individually house each dragon but some are thriving more than others. Prices were also higher other places with the same reptiles available(i.e a cuban knight anole for $60 which is way too much). Also didnt help that I was eyed down many times throughout the store. I love this store for a lot of reasons and think it is a good store but was just let down with the health of some of the beardies. That being said I would never want to accuse u guys of neglect but I would HIGHLY recommend trying to separate those beardies. not trying to leave a hateful comment or anything just trying to air so concerns i had

So many cool posters, tapestries, clothing, band memorabilia, jewelry, crystals, lamps, candles, smoking accessories, even a pet shop area, theres so much more.. Great store 1st time i ever went there and the staff are happy and welcoming. Lady was very helpful with my son choosing a spider and very informative. Went to two other places on Gratiot before this one and by far the most help and information. I was at first hesitant on taking my kids in there, but it all went great. No my kids didnt even notice there other products. I recommend this store great customer service clean friendly and inviting

Very cool store. The staff is really laid back and friendly. They have a wide variety of products ranging from clothing to decor to crystals and incense, exotic animals and a head shop. The animals are all in wonderful condition, they breed and sell their own beardies and crested geckos. They also breed their own feeder rodents and offer live and frozen. The head shop has an awesome variety of glass pipes, as well as a nice little section for cbd oil. I am in here at least once a week. Highly recommended.

When a customer calls, to see if you carry a product & an employee answers the phone with an attitude like you are bothering them. I wont be buy any products from you, even though you are the only store, that carry Silkworms for my Bearded Dragon. I will find a vendor online.

$50 loss after going up there with the wife to get her some jewelry amongst other things after a rough day, and the lady in the jewelry section couldnt even measure right. We came home and compared them to my double zero got from somewhere else, and they were the same size. Im not gonna wear flowers and gems... So its a shame theyre going to lose long time loyal customers who brought in a lot of $$$$ over something as silly as not being able to measure, and having policies like no return on body jewelry after they screw up. Theyre certainly not the only place in metro Detroit to get all your oddities and random finds, let alone on Gratiot. Move along skip this place, dont get ripped off with their outrageous prices on everything from rocks to the reptiles to the jewelry and house decor, just to come home and find out you wasted your money and time to go get stuff to sit in your jewelry bin! Thanks lady!Now that I think of it, we stopped going years ago and gave it another chance for her birthday (where we we once again walked away without something) but she really wanted a fairy statue and its the closest place. The whole we will bring it up there for you thing is another rip off. More than once weve walked out without all the stuff we bought, because they walk away with it, set it on the counter, sit there ringing you up and ask is this yours? While not putting half of it in the bag.... so its hard to keep track if your spending more than $20 aka one thing. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Learn from us, people.

My sister used to work here, so it was always fun when i got to visit occasionally, and as far as Im concerened Im pretty sure she liked it there! Everyone was always so nice when i came around though it was infrequent. I feel like the store has something for everyone, and it always made me so happy to see such unique things. Also worth mentioning, once i held a snake here, just thought Id throw that in !

I absolutely love the Road Show and what it stands for. They’re products are wonderful, glass pieces are a bit pricey. The employees are fantastic and very helpful but there is an older woman who works there and she is the most passive aggressive person working in retail. I’m not sure what I ever did wrong to her but it seems like everytime I buy my crickets from there, she rings me up and I have an unpleasant experience. Today I was trying to buy my crickets using my girlfriend’s credit card, she refused me the sale, made me get my “girlfriend’s permission” to use the card, she made me feel like some kind of criminal even though I was there on my biweekly cricket purchase. I hope that one day someone will read this and maybe something be done because other that her, I really do love the store.

Ive been coming to the road show for 15 years or so, I go there for a lot of different things. Incense and oils, plugs, decorations and feed! I buy 90% of my reptiles from there. I love this place! much like family everytime I go in there I feel at home. Always a great experience!!

It had been several years since I had been to TRS(before the other day) and they have added SO MANY AMAZING THINGS! Including a bunch of crystals which I have been very into the past several months.

Without a doubt the BEST, most helpful staff EVER! I cant explain it but even if Im in a horrible mood the moment I walk in that seems to melt away. The positive energy in that place is unbelievable. I walk out in a better mood than I arrived every time. It must be the wonderful staff they have and how they treat you like family. Some of the best people I know work there.

Always find something while Im here! Everyone is very helpful. The guy who usually runs the register is super friendly and easy to talk to. I have been coming here for years and I cant get enough. The boyfriend and I are talking about getting a dwarf bunny. We would like to buy the full kit but its way too expensive for. Place was cool and staff walking around was nice but a short blonde lady at the counter was rude and did not accept my card because she didnt think it was mine when i even showed her my id and the names obviously matched.

All those 5 stars and i will never come back. The way you treat all the customers youve wronged is horrible. Ive never seen anything like it. If the store is anything like it was 10+ years ago. i believe all those 1 star comments. Staff is rude and unhelpful or at least they were back in the day. Then to see how BRUCE handles the people who have issues is a joke. Not everyone is wrong and you should of responded alot better. I read quite a few and you are very demeaning sir. Its sad to see that i was hoping to come by today and see if you sold cbd oil and supplies, but Ill go somewhere else. Just to be clear BRUCE is why im not even bothering.

Love this place, the people there are very friendly and always willing to answer any questions. My boyfriend and I bought these dog treats there and the guy that helped me said he was the owners son. He was such a good help with telling me all about the treats my dogs anxiety has gotten much better and I looks less stressed when we leave him home now. You guys are great thank you.

Is this mandatory? not only that but when i went to write a review on fb some posts came up about how u can no longer write one, as it is not an option, also finding out there is sexual harrasment? i expect better seeing so many good reviews.

Love, love, love this place! Staff was great and friendly. They were super helpful when I was picking out a tortoise as a gift for my boyfriend. The owner sons helped me personally and they even offered to let me keep the tortoise there until I had all the stuff I needed. $50 loss after showing them much customer appreciation(spent A LOT in the past month) because the lady who was doing the jewelry section cant measure. Sold me two sets of zero gauge earrings, and a free pair HAHA, came home compared them to my husbands double zero, same size. Tried to shove them in, it hurt so I stopped and Im not going up a size because they cant messure right. We were regular customers, but due to their no return on body jewelry policy and incapability to measure(mostly their incapability to measure), they can say goodbye to our money! Better places to go for literally everything where you wont get ripped off with crazy, nearly fraudulent policies!!!

Its quite sad when the owners, management, employees, and friends bully and belittle people on social media. I used to love the place but will no longer return if the owners have such blatant disrespect for their customers. I love it here. Lots and lots of cool things!!But I do want to say that a considerable amount of people have their own stories about rude employees following them around the store, being condescending, general attitude when asked questions etc. I’ve had this same problem time and time again. I really do like it here and love supporting a local business; just wish I felt more comfortable going into the store tbh

Immature, condescending and lacking customer service skills since the 80s. Heard horror storys about the pet shop. Basically a glorified Flea Market. They are pretty condescending and arrogant for having such basic merchandise. Most of the gear is played out. Not worth the money. So many other fun places now with good service who will appreciate and want your business.I do feel bad for littering a cigarette butt. Just like Im sure the hundreds of people who have do too right? I have a domestic violence case pending and I have PTSD for being talked to and treated aggressively by men. I freaked out in my car as the owners son charged a straight line at me. Litterly causing flashbacks. I do major clean ups and litter nothing else in my life. It should change I agree. But how many people would admit to it and say they should change. I am know to be a very good friend and person. I have never been talked to and treated so poorly in my life. And scared by an employee. (Not acceptable in any way) (not to mention I had come here since the 80s and had litterly just gave a shout out to the place on FB a week before returning) You shouldnt have an ego. You should try to be better people and appreciate long term patronage before you try to belittle people who are trying to give you business. (I have customer service awards from high end retailers from my managing skills) This was un-called for and highly highly immatureI should never have to defend myself as a person from a business. Especially when I am a person full of empathy. These people are bullys. After all ive been though and how much ive kept myslef rising.. They treated me like a second class citizen. And they really are not that great. I know better owners. This is a dive shop. For real. Careful with any animals you get from here. I heard the worst stories in the 90s but I see this place doesnt like to evolve so..I would love to suggest.. Well done goods in Eastern Market. Or the Rust Belt in Ferndale for fun and interesting good. With good service.

Extremely disgusted with the poor customer service we received here and the owner, Bruce, was beyond RUDE!!We purchased two “pet” rats two weeks ago from here. They were making “chibble-like” sounds when we were there picking them out, but the staff reassured us that the sounds were normal. We trusted them, but once we got home, the baby rats immediately began sneezing and showing signs of illness and congestion. I called the following day and was told by a staff member that she was 100% certain it was “just normal new home sneezes” and to wait another week or two and it would go away. The baby rats got worse, and we called back that evening... only to have the same staff member get extremely rude over the phone.Long story short, our other 5 rats who had never been sick before caught this illness from the 2 new babies we got from here. We ended up taking all 7 rats to our exotics vet where we found out that the two babies either had Myco or SDA that they spread to our others-either disease would have been fatal if left untreated. $250+ plus later, and here we are medicating all 7 of our pet rats twice a day with 2 different meds. We are finally seeing them improve a week into the 3 week medicating time needed.We have since called the shop to notify them of what the vet said and how much we’ve had to pay, and the manager told us the owner would call us. A few days went by with no phone call, so we stopped back in to share what had happened, and we were told again by management that only Bruce could address this but he was gone and had been busy.Bruce finally called the following day (yesterday- almost two weeks since we got the new babies) and left a terribly nasty voicemail for us. Upon my husband calling him back, we were told that the rats weren’t sick while there, that we must have done something to them and that out of his own generosity, he would allow us to bring them back and exchange them for two “fresh” rats!!! Fresh rats???!!! These two rats are part of our family now, we have young children who are attached to them, and we’ve already invested so much financially so there’s no way we’re exchanging them!!! So the owner is willing to just discontinue their medical care we’ve already started with a vet??!! Horrible!!!The owner told us he felt he was being very generous with his offer for exchanging them, was not willing to issue a refund for the $25 cost for the rats themselves, and he bragged about his 5 star ratings and told us we weren’t welcome any longer in his shop.DO NOT BUY RATS FROM HERE!! If they had any integrity, they would have been willing to hear what was going on and at a minimum offer a store credit towards some rat food to help offset the medical care we are paying for. Maybe this store is great for other items???... but it’s AN AWFUL place to get pets, and the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced!!! Spare yourself the heart break others have experienced and the vet bills.I’m grateful we didn’t listen to the staff who told us the rats’ sounds were normal. We could have lost allof our rats. Now looking at the reviews here, I see we aren’t the only ones we have had gotten sick pets from this place. So sad!

I went in here the other day because I couldnt figure out how to work my vape pen.. Bruce/the older man took me to the back and loudly and rudely announced she has a problem! ???..... Then the employee he got to help me said something along the lines of now that we know what you look like? What is that supposed to mean? I would hope someone might know what we look like since we spent hundreds of dollars at your store!?!? Frequenting weekly!?.. we dont go in here anymore. FYE, 2nd&Charles, and Amazon/internet shops will get our money now..The older lady at the cashier counter is cold, rude, and unfriendly too..plenty of people who need jobs who know how to smile, hit buttons, and count..Ive done it, its Easy! I wish I wouldnt have given them so much money already. ..

One of my favorite stores in Roseville! Always go Christmas shopping there! The owners are truly nice people! And the staff is great and have been there for years. If you have not had a chance to check this store out,you really should make time! Quality products and prices!

Shopped here a handful of times throughout the years, figured it was a nice place to find odd gifts.I stopped in a week or so ago to purchase a snake vertebrae necklace i had been eyeballing for my wife for some time. We are animal lovers and have a few exotic pets, one of which is a ball python named ollie, the necklace seemed like a no brainer.Went in and asked to see the necklace...price tag was 40.00, not a harsh price but i had questions. I asked the girl at the counter if she knew what kind of snake? She replied, a small one...Ok...do you have a letter of authenticity, i asked?No, she replied.Do you have the number of the vendor so i can ask about the necklace? She said, we dont give out that information, sir.At about this time a kid standing behind her barked out, we dont have any of that. So its a lose lose situation.I even asked if i could take it to a reptile expert to have it authenticated? Not to my surprise i was told, all sales are final on jewelry.So you put out a product that you claim is real but have absolutely no proof to back it up? This is poor business at its finest.If youre looking for something out of the ordinary you could find it somewhere else. I wouldnt waste my time here.

This is a neat little place. My significant others family took me here the first time I came to visit them. The closest thing I could compare it to retail-wise would be a Spencers due to the pop culture memorabilia, posters, incense, metaphysical stuff, etc. They also have a better selection of reptiles than I have ever seen at a comparable retail pet store. After moving to the area I have frequented here a couple times for crystals and to gaze longingly at the bearded dragons.

I always love to stop in and check out what type of cool critters they have in stock. In the past I have purchased my cresties from there as well. Sadly, in my last visit I felt very disrespected by their staff on the animals. She was incredibly rude and tried to tell me that I feed my pets the wrong things, when I am a very experienced pet owner. Aside from this past experience here I have always enjoyed stopping in, hopefully this will never happen again, to me or anyone else.

I stumbled on this place on accident. I was amazed by the vast array of merchandise offered. From pets to mugs to toys to sweatshirts this store is a slice of America. I got a Made in Detroit shirt for myself and a hoodie for my wife and teenage mutant ninja turtle pop figures for my daughters. Extremely friendly and hands on staff. They are always busy because they have niche products at affordable prices. Great to see a family owned and operated store doing well. Do yourself a favor and stop in and let your eyes enjoy the ambiance. I will be a customer for life!

Uncomfortable.. i loved my first visit i always wanted to explore the hype. I mostly looked at all of the animals and thats what i do just go in stores and look at animals harmless really maybe wanting to buy a refreshment and check out the merch advertised on the fb. Cool seeing stuff. My 2nd visit.. right when i entered i was told to take off my backpack with my wallet in it and to take it behind the desk.. no welcome or anything ive been here once before but months ago. But only just looking i walked to this store so like.. that was everything i had. I was on the phone with my friend and was talking about the animals i had interests in buying but ill be moving so i dont want to stress the animals and couldnt afford long term. Once my backpack was taken away i saw a customer with a backpack.. and was confused of why my backpack.i was only there to look at things on the fence of getting things but with my wallet behind the counter i couldnt really get anything. But after just the assumed suspicion i just felt uncomfortable i never had a business ask but in the tone seemed to demand .me for my belongings before.. the place is really neat and i mustve came on the wrong day i love the nature of the store and the garden outside. 1st visit people were really friendly and helpful and them today it didnt feel so welcoming. Though it was only 1 staff member. Im proably going to get hate for window shopping but with a place with no online shop i just really want to see what they have and its just usually so much fun finding weird and unique things that you cant find at a avg store. And they seemed to have some new things. I wouldnt of mind the staff taking my bag as soon as i walked in if i was given a kinder explanation of why. And then seeing other customers with backpacks? It just. Felt randomly selective. For those who walk around,dont bring backpacks maybe smal small bags will be okay hopefully they can give a explanation before saying give me the bag if i wasa. New customer that would be a weird sign and also possibly sign of staff not actually watching potential theft. Products arr great animals seemed.to be taken care of.. unsure about that now looking at this thread. But if you want.to find weird and unsual things this.is the place to go but dont expect a welcome and dont bring in a bag for some unexplained reason lol. Staff besides the one person is proably super cool like the first time. Im proably not going to come back because im.moving and also because of this odd experience. But for others go here for incense and some.really neat unusual finds! No hate but more of unsettling confusion of the business practice. I do hope it success in what it does best

I’ve spend hundreds here and always talked so highly of them until the owner was totally unprofessional. He swore and yelled at me telling me that i must have done something and that it was pretty much my fault she died when I’m pretty sure they sold me a sick rat. I did everything I was supposed to and played with her that morning to come home and find her dead in her cage. Neither me nor my family members will ever come back and shop here.

Was looking at headbands and heard an employee say something about my brother and said he was gonna go stare him down in front of some old lady who seemed to be the owner. I told them the person they described was my brother and asked why? the owner said they were just checking not sure what that meant. seems like they were profiling my brother. very unprofessional I didnt even wanna buy the headband at that point.

The staff was so friendly & helpful! They made me feel as welcome as i would treat a guest in my home. Thank you so much!

Great little shop for any off the wall thing you may desire. They have a critter section that is kept clean and organized. The staff seem friendly for the most part.

Ahhh the good ol roadshow. I wouldnt say they are the best head shop in the area but thats only because they offer much more than glass. The eclectic selection they have is huge and you can easily spend a hour just floating around checking things out.

Everything in this store is amazing and there is something for everyone!!! I could seriously spend hours in this store! I LOVE IT!

Rude and inconsiderate. Not professional. Tried to blame me for their own neglect when they charged me twice. Thought about how horrible my experience was in the store and decided to return my items within 2 hours, and they tried to bully me into keeping them. I have read other reviews that are similar to mine. Customers should not have to ask to be treated with kindness. Not to mention the fact that the employees were gossiping about other customers between themselves and didnt care who heard. Management should really evaluate its employees, instead of blaming PAYING CUSTOMERS. Will not be returning. #RoadNo

Love this place, staff is always friendly and helpful, they have a ton of cool stuff from t-shirts to reptiles I shop here at least once every two weeks and have never had a bad experience.

Wonderful place lots of selections reasonable prices and friendly staff.
