Absolutely amazing place to visit with the kids this time of the year, with thr rotary club putting on the light festival
Amazing place. Best park we have ever been to, and we have lived in 3 different states.
The festival of lights were really top on. My family really enjoyed it.
I was excited to take my dog for a walk at the park and enjoy the outdoors then come to find out it’s not dog friendly even if they are on a leash with seems incredibly odd since it’s such a large park with so much room to walk. Great for kids I suppose has lots of play areas, however not everyone wants / has kids and it would be nice to enjoy with a fur baby as well.
Love this place! Big playground for children nd a very nice place to sit and relax.
If you have kids, this place is amazing. It has multiple play structures in different areas with unique toys (standard zip line and enclosed ride), fort, tiny splash area with whale statues, small teepees, a turtle statue... And if course theres the river and plenty of grass. We will definitely come back here when we drive through again.
The new bathrooms are so nice! The whales are back up and spouting out water. Currently, the fort is closed. Love all the different things there are to do at this park!
Great place to go and host to the festival of lights
Beautiful park along the Umpqua. Big playground. Tall fetish. Boat ramp. Could use better signage for directions to swimming hole. Why do white people in Douglas county have a hard time parking in one spot
Love this park, been going here since I was a child. The Festival of Lights is a yearly event for my family
Just a short cruise will get you away from the city, concrete & steel. All greenery with a river background. Good ol Mother Nature....
Discovery Garden is such a treat. The master gardeners of Douglas County do a great job
The festival of lights 2020 was great!
It was awesome went with one of my girls and enjoyed the water and the view!
Great seasonal light show.
Very nice well kept park with a great area for small children. Access to the river is not great and no shade when you get down there.
2 playgrounds great swimming hole. BBQ areas only downside is limited shade by the river
Favorite park to visit! Worth the drive out there for the accessible parks, lots of running room and picnic area. No dogs May-Sept. We enjoy the butterfly garden just as much
Great park! Nice place to have a party!
Weve made this place a must see every time we come to visit family in the area. We like looking for River rocks. If you come during the summer, bring something to carry home some fresh blackberries, if youre willing to brave the brambles!
Very beautiful park with lovely views of the north and south umpqua rivers.
Clean, nice park for the little ones
Got a great playground for handicap children
Fun place for the whole family.
Great playgrounds, fishing, picnicking.
Large, beautiful park right next to the river. As it is named, the two forks of the river merge on the far corner of the park. Great for casual fishing and swimming. There is a boat ramp, a volleyball court, a covered pavilion, a large waterworks play area and also a huge western style fort for kids to play pretend.Worth the visit!
Awesome family friendly park and swim spot
Great day with family.
We had a wonderful time during the fourth of July. The bathroom/showers were great! We had fun playing volleyball and horseshoes. It was walking distance to the river and park. Nice picnic tables and firepits, even has a little store. As a suggestion you might want to add a drop box to pay for firewood after hours.
This park is amazing. No dogs May 15th- Sept. 15th. The new play structures are perfect for toddlers. I love visiting the river bank here. This is where the North and South Umpqua River collide.
Old whale water area is a memory from the past . Nothing left but the blue dipped in ground and a few bolts waiting to hurt someone. New play structure is nicely done. Yards and grounds need massive attention but instead they leave parking violations and sit at the shed.
Gorgeousness me and fellow rock hounder soberly hunted rocks. Nice finds we went away with. Swimming looks inviting summer 2020
The south and north forks merge here. Big park. Love going during Christmas.
The park is great other than the strange black sedan that kept a close watch on us the entire time we were there. Creepy! They drove back in forth a half dozen times, stopping in strange places just to sit and watch us. Upon leaving the park I noticed the car was driving up a driveway to a house next to the park.
One of the best parks around and of course festival of lights yearly is awesome there too perfect place for weddings also they just keep improving and making it the best park in Douglas county !!
Very clean, large areas for kids to run and play. A lot of things to do between trails, fishing, park, soccer fields, etc.
Really dissapointedin the city parks charging parking now, other than that good park
Large, quiet and interesting park. Noce place to just relax with friends
I love this place. Well done to all involved
Good place to go but wont go back because they charge to get in
Large park on the banks of the Umpqua River. Great for summer picnics. It is large enough that if you want to get away from people you can find quiet spot to zen. Also a boat launch for those wanting to float the river.
The park has changed over the years. It would be better if they were to put another water feature in like the whale that used to be there. Like a small pool for people who dont want to take their kids to the river to cool off during the summer
Kids love the new play structures... really kid friendly. Restrooms really need updating though and add more trees/shade and grills.
Great place to take the family! There are many places for the kids to play-newer built park and a spouting whale, great place for birthday parties and other events in warm months, pavilions available for covered parties, River with rock beach. This is also the place where they set up the Festival of Lights drive through every Holiday season.
Festival Of Lights 2019, enjoyed the couple of new ones this year, always a good time.
The festival of lights was super fun! My kids had a blast!
Its gorgeous, hit the spot to cool off, but.... We were only there and hour and Im disabled long long journey to water with walker. Loved the life jacket stand provided. We were ticketed. We both are residents of the battered person advocacy (BPA) womens shelter as residents and Im in heart failure advanced with no income either of us. So the fee seemed a bit much for our hour long cool off. Should be other options for fees and such.
Nice quiet park with facilitys that are large enough to accommodate most any gathering.
It was very nice but seemed shorter than it used to be.
Quiet with trees and grass. Next to a large state park ($4 entry fee) with a great play ground for kids
It was beautiful awesome place to see Christmas lights its beautiful
Beautiful scenery, paths that are great for walking or running, and two play areas for the younger visitors. Also a good destination for company gatherings, picnics, or weddings! Worth the visit, but be sure to pay the county parking fee.
It was really nice
The Umpqua river is wonderful for relaxing at and its annual Salmon fishing is ever so worthy of experiencing! If youve been in Roseburg, you ought know fishing is a unique way of naturally enjoying your free or vacation time. Only the forestry service preserves our forests but the DNR has minimal input in the upkeep of waterways, for some crazy reason the counties are put in control of river or lake side parks which often go unattended due to funds being diverted to other projects, write call or visit a county commissioners office to discover what concerns you if you feel things need addressing and remember it as Smokey the bear would say, only you can prevent forest fires, ignorance, insolence or indifference via due diligence of proof through photos, recorded notes and maybe even a survey or addendum. Fly tying and painting are big in this region...relax,enjoy and dont forget to enjoy nature.
Had my brothers wedding there. Park was nice, as a kid i spent alot of time there! Only thing I noticed was they had recently mowed the grass and they left the dead grass on the grass it was a issue for wedding
Beautiful park. Fun play areas for children.
It is a spectacular park. Great Christmas lights during the winter months. Family friendly during the spring and summer months. Great place to fish and swim at the place where the rivers collide. I like it.
Excellent park. Lots of open space to run around and newly updated equipment.
Being new to town we didnt know that Park was there. Its a little out of the way but it has a really nice range of features for everyone. The beach was surprisingly fun and had a moderate amount of people there even on a nice day. Theres a lot of tables and barbecue stands for everyone. And two different play structures for the kids which they both liked. Theres loads of parking also. Theres also a $4 fee for entry and no dogs allowed. Which is a bummer because we have a small dog and we couldnt bring him.
Good place to get away for a BBQ
Very nice park to go to .But dont forget to pay your fee for visiting or you could be approached by getting a ticket. This helps maintain the park up keep I believe.
Very nice big park for picnics etc.
Great park with inclusion play area.
Fun lots of the things for the kids to play on
$4 to park your car to float the river is irritating. But other than that its cool. Also, the kiddos like the park.
Very fine piece of picture and pretty.
Festival of lights... nice Roseburg trad9
This is such a fun park. The playground is really cool and my kids just love it. Just wish there was a little more seating.
No light pollution out there at night, the Milky Way is beautiful
To many spiders in the fort and several broken boards. Your making money on parking fees so use it to make more kid safe please
Such a golden gem
They have wifi
Its a beautiful park, it has a great atmosphere!!! Beautiful grass, trees and fun things for the kids to play on.
Really nice park with swimming, childrens area and pavilion
Beautiful park, nice river, picnic area. Christmas light attraction during the holidays!
It has the best playground it was so fun and had a great time
This is the best park Ive been to so far in roseburg area there is so much to do for adults and kids best family gathering bbq spot ever and easy access to river for swimming.
Great river access and play ground for kids all ages.
Great Park if you did not have to pay for something that you already paid for !!!Hard for single mothers to take their kids swimming on a hot day when they have to pay $4.00 to use something that the taxpayers have already paid for. 4 dollars is nothing to our rich Country Commissioners, but is alot to the poor. The County gets money from the State from our bout regeneration to maintain the boat ramps and the bathrooms there, but they want more!!!!!
This place is like a campground and an RV park merged. Love the space here.
Really nice park....it is always clean and well maintained. Great place to launch a fishing boat, kayak, canoe.
It was nice. Friendly greeters. Was expecting more of a wow factor. Did have very creative Christmas light setups.
Fun and clean
Very clean and fun Christmas display
