I have been to many escape rooms and enjoyed all of them very much. The other escape rooms I have been to were filled with furniture you have to unlock, even secret rooms, etc. I read the review about this place that it is basically a party room that....is set up like an escape room and still decided to try it as the other escape room place in rockford is twice the price. I thought, they cant possibly charge over $10 and be that bad. Also if they are using the brand name Key Quest they have to have some kind of consistency in standards. Long story short, it was a small party room with 3 tables with clues and a bunch of locked boxes. When I walked in I was thinking, oh no....this is going to suck...I could make one better than this. I was with 6 high school kids who have never done an escape room before. With all that said, they were all very engaged and said they had fun in the end (we solved it. I was also very focused on solving the puzzles so I didnt really mind that it was just a party room. So I guess what I am saying is that if you have experienced other escape rooms, expect to be very very very disappointed. When you go in, you will feel your heart drop. But if you are looking for a brief, one hour of intrigue, an intro into what an escape room experience might be like, try this out. They made $100 off of us, which I think is highway robbery. Maybe they should charge per room not per person.
It could have been more realistic
Considering Im going there on May 17th, 2019. And that my brother works as Im right in this review. And its also very fun to play. I give it a solid 5.
Not what I expected. Just a small multipurpose room with a few props in it. Prob won’t do it again.
Just a room with four tables that had clues laying on top. Very basic clues that weren’t layered or interesting to solve. Very disappointing.
We put in the first code to the lock in the first 3 mins and the lock wouldnt open. When we asked for a clue it was what we put in and the lock didnt open for the employee. Then on a second lock the same thing. We had the code and the lock wouldnt open. The employee couldnt open that one either. They need to replace the broken locks because we wasted most our time with faulty locks.
Nope. Lock u in a 10 x 10 room. Boring and overpriced.
This was extremely silly. We made the mistake of going twice. The second time, I noticed a clue in a balloon you had to pop. The first time, the balloons were just laying on the floor all popped and there was no clue. The first time, there was a clue laying on the floor in front of the clown, but the second time, it was in its mouth. How is one supposed to solve this puzzle if all of the clues are not provided or put in the proper places? Maybe this is a better experience in LQs other than Rockford, but I would not waste my time or money at this particular location.Zero stars if I could.
Not worth the money AT ALL.
Its a great place for the family
