Its a nice place to bowl, but they are not complying to Covid and social distance guidelines. Without proper measures, the alley is putting everyone at risk. If youre looking for somewhere to bowl during Covid, I would suggest not going there if you want to be safe.
I was invited there to celebrate my nephews 18th birthday there. I wasnt there for very long but immediately upon entering you can see that theyre a cut above the competition. The place is absolutely beautiful, the staff is very friendly and I cant wait to go back again!
This is by far the cleanest bowling alley I have ever been to. They have people that are constantly cleaning up after guests. The price for bowling was what I expected for a hipster bowling alley. Not bad if you have a larger group and are splitting it. No charge for shoe rental. The food was good, we ate at the shortwave, which was counter service. Pizza, wings and fries were all good. There are two bars and the drinks were strong. Didnt have any issues getting the bartenders attention. There are other games which were free in the back section, a long with ones you can rent and arcades. We didnt eat at the sit down restaurant part but the food smelled fabulous.
This is such a unique place that its definitely worth a visit!
A great hang out location with great food and service
Awesome vibe here. They have just about everything you could want. I will say I am surprised by the age diversity that was catered to. Anywhere from a bachelor party to a group of moms with their toddlers, to a group of frat boys and some older people, there is no typical crowd here. Drink selection is relatively fairly priced and the fries are great. Chicken sandwich is a little heavy on cumin but it is gargantuan. Highly recommend you check this place out at least once.
Went here with a group of 15 or so people of mixed ages (toddlers and kids to adults) for bowling during the day. Everyone had a blast. The kids really enjoyed bowling as well as the open area with the large jenga, connect 4, and corn hole.Decent beer selection and full bar. Pizza and the food was good as well. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
We were at my son in laws birthday party and were asked to leave an area that was for a private party. There was one sign and a HUGE area that was not being used and we did not know that the area was part of the private party. We moved and a girl that works there with suspenders had an attitude and had extremely poor customer service with our party and my daughter as she was talking to her and a security guard. We did do what they told us, we were not disrespectful and they asked us to leave after they gave us 2 lanes to bowl and shoes. We asked to speak to the manager. She was also rude and has NO customer service either. After listening to enough drama from nothing we did, we left and will never return to Radio Social ever again. We will not recommend this place to anyone ever. 1st time there. Terrible impression an last time ever there. Get some new staff that show respect and have great customer service!!!!!!!
My favorite place to bowl an the food is amazing
OMG I had so much fun there. There is so much to do. Lots of games. A great place for indoor fun. Its a good place for a first date. Going with a group of family or friends would be tons of fun.
The staff, the atmosphere, the drinks and the food were all amazingly good. Amazing and inventive flavors that made me want to keep eating past the point of being full. The staff really went out of their way to accommodate our special request for the black and white cookie (do yourself a favor and make sure to get it) and made our visit feel so special. This is a place Rochester is lucky to have.
I love Radio! Best bartenders, love being drunk on those sweet craft cocktails while throwing a 10 pound ball into some pins. Great place for a night out with friends, or a cute date! If youve never been youre definitely missing out!
Great place! Amazing atmosphere, great food, great drinks, and amazing service. This has now become my go to spot with my friends. Bowling and classic yard games keep everyone entertained
This bar is one of the better spots in Rochester. Always a good time. Wish they rotated their beer selection though.
Many of us will enjoy Radio Social for its awesome bowling lanes and variety of games it provides for a range of ages. Many of us will enjoy it for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine that Ophira offers. My fiancé and I have come to love it as a casual date night spot with amazing food, drink, atmosphere and people! We sit at the always clean bar and order from shortwave - the best bowling alley food you will ever find. The cocktails are crafted by some of the best in the city. Our personal favorite bartenders are Jared and Kat. They go above and to make our experience great every single time we’re there.
Best bowling alley in the area. Has plenty of lanes, 2 bars, good food, and other games to play too. I hope to go back soon.
Really great place for a good craft cocktail, artisan food, bowling, and bar games. Crazy combination of all things fun. Big college crowd on weekends, great date night spot the rest of the week.
A fun place to hang out. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, kind of trendy. Its great to have the opportunity to have some games that are free, rather than always having to pay a ton to have some fun (giant Jenga, connect four, cornhole). They have fantastic cocktails (but a bit costly) if youre into that sort of thing. Not a huge selection of beers. The downside or upside depending on what youre looking for is the amount of kids. Great if youre looking for a little bit of family fun, but not so great if youre trying to hang out with adults. I was here an early Friday evening around happy hour time, so there might be less kids as the night goes on. In my opinion this kind of play games/eat/drink should be a little more common. Its a great concept.
Super fun place with lots of games! The restaurant is also super good! Pretty small portions but it’s fancy and very good.
I pleasantly surprised and greatly satisfied with experience this evening. Birthday party, bowling, food and snacks and plenty of laughs. Would do it again.
Such a fun place! Great drinks and fun bowling. Its got a very fun and hip vibe. Really nice space
So much fun for adults. One of the best bars in Rochester.
Retro and ravishing, I loved every minute. Needs more arcade stuff! But wow yeah, great cocktails and cool bowling lanes!
Great place to hang with friends or make new ones! Great food and specialty drinks!Plenty to do
Talk about a place with plenty to do, Radio Social is practically an indoor playground for adults. The space itself is huge, and covers everything from bowling to jumbo connect four, and Israeli fine dining to pizza and wings. The space is bright and clean with an overall mid-century styling accented with bowling and Big Lebowski motifs. You won’t find your run-of-the-mill floppy pizza and greasy wings here, but instead more unique and higher quality bar fare at their walk up counter Shortwave. Don’t be deterred though, the menu there still consists of pizza and wings, with the addition of a burger and fries. For your more fine dining needs, Ophira offers something unique in Rochester with a modern and inventive take on Israeli cuisine. Their chef spent time in Israel to help bring back authentic flavors, and even though I don’t have the knowledge myself to compare, I feel like they’ve been very successful. All told, Radio Social is not your typical bowling alley experience, and I see that as a positive all around.
This is a great place to meet and mingle. I like that they have a small arcade. And other games to play. The drinks are pretty good (the Good Ship Albion is one of my favorites). The food smells good. Bowling is nice, but it will cut off after the time you are allotted. It has a very open atmosphere and its great for adults and fun for kids. I wasnt expecting so many little ones, it did get a bit overwhelming at times. However, I believe day of the week and timing comes into play with the age of the crowd there. I could be wrong. Regardless, it was a really very nice. The staff there was very nice when I went this past Sunday. Im looking forward to visiting again!
This place arms awesome. We went on a Saturday evening around 8. It was packed. We actually had a two hour wait to bowl.
The food was VERY good. The roasted pepper hummus was amazing! We didnt bowl, this time, but we got to play corn hole and connect four. Great place for good food and fun times. Comfortable, laid back atmosphere.
This is a local get away to have a light meal and have childhood fun ! Games that you play outdoors, you can play inside - Like Cornhole and Shuffleboard. This is great if its raining outside ! The layout of Radio Social is a HUGE open floor plan. When you first walk in, you can relax on couches and various sectionals and socialize. You can also have a nice dinner with seasonal choices of entrees. After dinner, you can walk deeper into Radio Social and the place opens up to where there are Bowling lanes, Ping Pong, and Giant Jenga to name a few. This evening we tried the Lobster Rolls and Crab Sliders specials - These were high end restaurant quality recipes ! These were not ingredients just thrown into a bowl and mixed around - Definitely thought out. There were huge pieces of fresh lobster and crab, and you can taste that these were not frozen ! There are also 2 bars, one large one in the front of Radio Social, and a smaller bar in the rear. The drinks are refreshing and not over-kill on the liquor. This is definitely a fun place for all ages and NOT just another bar !!
Love the decor and the excellent staff!
Great food, nice open atmosphere. Not the best place for small children in terms of food, but big area to play games in. After hours work parties are great here, or if you want a date where you play darts and ski ball.
Great place for bowling and dining!!
Excelent decoration, great beer selection, and a lot of fun things to do.
Just visited this place from out of town and it was truly amazing!! Such a fun, unique place- Cool hip space, awesome service and the best part, the amazing food. We love love loved everything we had. The pull apart bread, cheese, potatoes, bacon jam hummus and babaganoush were all standouts. I’m not usually a cocktails person but we all had some great ones too. The living social and socialite were extra good. There’s a fun game space too with bowling and old arcade games. Casual food in that area too that looked good. Thanks for a great night, Chef Steve. Will definitely be back.
Trendy place with booze, bowling and other games. Should be open a little later but that would be my only complaint. Fun night out.
Ophira Restaurant has a badass menu which has plenty of gluten free options for me. The cocktails here are top notch also! We frequent here AND Comedy at the Carlson next door!
Unfortunately my friends and I had an awful experience at Radio Social. Being a Rochester Native I was excited to book a bowling lane for my friends and I as we were all home for the holidays. I booked online as I was told because they do not take reservations via phone or email. This was after multiple emails with a staff member who took 3-5 days to reply. I booked 1 lane for 1 hour which allows 6 people to bowl. You are not allowed to choose the side you be will bowling on (they have bowling lanes in the front and back of building). Upon arrival we got our bowling shoes at the desk but the lane was not ready so I went back to the desk to ask for assistance and they said it would be ready soon. At this point it had been 10 minutes after my reserved time was suppose to start. Finally 15 minutes later the lane starts working but then automatically shut off before the hour was up. Not only that but the couch areas are not reserved and unfortunately if the people bowling next to you don’t want to share - they won’t. It wasn’t worth it to me to put up a fight for the remaining 15 minutes of bowling but I will not be returning or booking lanes again. The male bartender at the front bar was not very nice either! Very rude to my friends and I and a scowl on his face. All in all, poor communication with staff who seem very unorganized and unprofessional bartender(s).
Really great place. Food in the resturant was great! New and interesting dishes, delicious. The staff and servers were great. The manager recommended 2 amazing dishes. The game room was perfect, got to watch some football while we shot pool. They have foosball, skee ball, small arcade. Full court for bean bag toss, shuffleboard, etc. Tons of bowling lanes. The feel of the entire place is great. Would love to go back.
First time to this great place. Dinner was awesome. We loved the Mediterranean menu. Very nicely done with great choices for our group of six. With the bowling lanes and games its such a great place to hang with friends. Looking forward to coming back and Ill definitely doesnt more time gaming!
This place is great! Food is good, multiple bars, lawn games while you wait, and as many games as you can fin into your scheduled time slot!
Its a fun place to go but the drinks are expensive, it could be me. I dont go out to bars much and perhaps mixed drinks have always been 10$. Food is decent, but bowling is where its at.
Very poor customer service. Entitled millennial workers. I’m not sure where customer service has gone, but you won’t find it here. Every dude security guard (Paul) and “general manager” (who was actually a bartender and stood in as the general a manger. She wasn’t the general manager, nor was her demeanor of any manager status.I will never return.Very very poorly run.
This used to be my favorite place to host events - I’ve held many work party’s here and that will happen no more until something is done and the customer starts becoming a valued stakeholder again. My thoughtful fiancé held a party for my birthday and a nasty worker, security guard (Paul), and “manager” whom was actually a bartender (Kat) had the worst attitude and customer service I’ve ever dealt with - very bad!Customer service continues to take a backseat at businesses and in order for places to get better, constructive criticism needs to take place and I guess we’ll see how much of a priority the customer is to the people actually running this place and hiring quality talent, because the people I dealt with clearly aren’t quality - they’re horrendous.Cait, Kat, or whatever her name needs to learn that not only “her employees” being rude to customers, especially talking badly in front of them is absolutely unacceptable and bad customer service; but her own demeanor needs a check as an example to the rest of the staff.I’m not usually one to leave bad reviews but this place will never get a dime from me again.
Pretty freaking cool. Sit-down area, bowling alley, arcade, outdoor bbq, a movie projector, live music... This is the place that keeps on giving. Everywhere you turn, theres something cool to enjoy. Great place for a night out with your friends.
Great spot. Excellent food. Bowling, games. Good vibe. Great place for family and friends.
Nice place with a lot of games to play, such as Jenga, bowling, etc. There are two bars which serve mainly beer and cocktails. Even though radio social is definitely not poshy, the cocktails are very good. Ill go again.
Clean, neat, fun, food is good and drinks are decent. Some of the lanes where down when I went and it became packed very quickly. I think I would have liked it better if it was fully open.
They have really good service. All of the food Ive tried there has been great and their drink menu is good. I think its a bit pricey by the time you pay for games and eat, but youre paying for the novelty. I wish noise didnt echo so much there, when its busy you cant even hear your friends.
The staff is friendly and the bowling alley is pretty cool. They have a lot of lanes in the front and back and food service as well. It is a very cool looking place with a retro feel.
Great place for food, fun and games. The atmosphere is amazing with great decor.
Amazing food. Nice vibes and so much fun with friends. Crowd was nice. Food music ambiance and the service was top-notch. I like the place and there are many games to play. Food was delicious hot fresh and amazingly served. Serving people were fast polite and nice. Overall I am satisfied with their service.
Radio Social is a great place to chill with friends. Theres great snacks like the burger and their special fries, and theres always something interesting on the drink menu. I always really enjoy my time here. Its a proper adult version of a bowling alley.
Radio Social was a good experience. Family friendly. Offers bowling and a variety of other games indoor and out. Food is Mediterranean. The pizza is very good. Theres a bar to accommodate. They also have an ATM and change machine. Looking forward to visiting again.
Nice place... good food! Our bartender Barry made us a variety of their cocktails, which were pretty good! Overall: cool retro atmosphere. JUST BEWARE! THE BACK PART (with 98% of the lanes and free games) CLOSES EARLY ON SUNDAYS NOW (I believe 6 pm) AND THE RESTAURANT menu is only available wed-sat! U can always have the bar menu.
Cool place with a lot going on. Great place for drinks and games
From their games to their drinks and atmosphere, all of it is just a great time. I would definitely recommend a visit
Always have fun going to this place on weekend, it seems like the most happening place in Rochester.Deducted 1 star as our bowling lane 34 had technical issues, the game kept hanging (5 times total) and we lost a lot of time(2-3 mins at least everytime) calling for help. When we asked to get some extra time as we lost so much, they Generously added 2 minutes to our time.
A nice place, a lot brighter inside than I expected. The prices are pretty high, not just for the drinks, but also for the games and activities. It is very loud inside, so get ready to either lose your voice screaming to your friends or use sign language to communicate. Despite this, it is very aesthetically pleasing inside and you can have a great time there.
Great eclectic food. Really fun bowling area with great fun games and bar
I’ve worked in customer service and this in not how patrons should be treated. The employees were very rude to us and instead of handling the issue the manager, Kat, decided to make a young associate tell us that we were to be refunded and leave. He was clearly uncomfortable in doing so and we felt bad for him. Only after asking for her did she come out to talk to us. She then refuse to listen to us and walked away without resolving the issue. My brother turned 32 and he is a US veteran this is not how he should have been treated on his birthday.
We had dinner at the restaurant and it was so good!!! And different! Totally recommended!
The best Atmosphere! Not like anything here in Rochester. Great bowling, decor, drinks, food, and excellent amount of party games sprawled out the place for anyone to enjoy. Excellent chill spot.
Great environment. Very relaxing atmosphere with a lot of entertainment choices.
We didnt bowl but the place is very nice. I think the layout is a little cumbersome but it lends itself more to a hangout spot rather than any one part of the experience in particular. The food was very good, and they seem to have a good selection for everyones tastes.
Great place to hangout and go bowling. Food is A-MAZING
Clean with helpful staff. Good place for families.
Great spot to take the kids bowling and the adults can relax..or for just the adults. Good food..great bars
Loved the atmosphere....Servers were great....Food was really good... had the rabbit meatballs... hummus....hand rubbed wings...fried asparagus.Prices are a bit high, but great experience over all !!
Prices were a little steep, but the food was delicious, celebrated a friends birthday.
Most of the games are miniature. No full size pool tables, or foosball. They have the room for them. Would have been nice if that was mentioned somewhere. Nice atmosphere and good drinks at a decent price though. If youre not serious about the games its probably great.
A great family experience; bowling, game center and unique and good cuisine.
Great atmosphere. Great staff Awesome place
Never been here but do work close to them it does look like a good place to visit one dsy
Great place to go with friends and even kids if you go early
Fun things to do but very noisy. Not thrilled with restaurant.
Super fun experience. Great food too!
We hosted a Friday night welcome event during our wedding weekend at Radio Social. We had about 70 guests, and rented lanes as well as the shuffleboard courts. Working with Jolene, this was a terrific experience!First, Radio Social does a great job of making their event offerings clear, which is not the case with many event spaces or restaurants. There is an easy to understand catering menu that has all sorts of variety in terms of price and offering. Lane rental is incredibly reasonably priced (by the hour, not person, which is helpful for an event when not everyone will do every activity), and its easy to pair some of the other fun activities alongside it. Again, there is a clear rental menu for games that makes it easy to plan out what you want to offer.Jolene was great to work with. She shared in the joy of our event, had lots of helpful guidance to share, was responsive, and flexible. We were allowed to bring decor without issue, and even though Jolene wasnt going to be in on the night of our event, she made sure the whole staff knew about our plan, and they were ready to help.We would happily host another event with Radio Social, and are incredibly grateful for the fun-filled quality time they allowed us to have with our guests!
We had my sisters party here, and it was great. There are a ton of things to do here, all adult fun, and you can get drinks as well. Very nice. The fries are AMAZING!
Beautiful place, good spot to hang out and have fun. Also kid friendly
Good time if you like pizza, wings, bowling, and some Cold beer
Great family bowling earlier in the day, before 6pm. Food is awesome! Veg and vegan friendly options.
Loved it! Gets a little loud with the bowling alley but lots of fun and good drinks to be had. Very good bar tenders also!
Really big spot for bowling. Great bar section and plenty of space to spread out with groups!
Excellent atmosphere. Upscale bowling with socializing area. Creative mixed drinks and popular draft beers are served at the centraly located bar. Plenty of parking just across the street!
This is a fun place to have a social outing, or just drinks with a friend. It can get really busy though and if you want to bowl make sure to make a reservation ahead of time.
Place was bigger than i thought but the food lets just say need a bit of hel the chicken was bland no flavor the pizza was sweet with some kind of sweet sauce all of it had a sweet taste and the diing dressing was ceaser dressing smh not a lace i would go back to
One of my favorite spots to drink and have a great time. Free games pay for bowling and great beer on draft. Highly recommend visiting this establishment more than once to get the full experience for all it has to offer. I recommend the Strong Arm IPA.
Had an excellent time bowling here. Its a tad pricey to pay $30 for a lane and only play for one hour but it was worth it for the atmosphere of the place and the great drinks they had at the bar. The card machine wasnt working so there was a wait but they did get it fixed by the time I left. Had a blast there for my birthday! What j didnt know was that the place is family friendly during the day apparently. There were a ton of rowdy kids there that were running all over the place (not the establishments fault, of course, but something to keep in mind when planning an event there). All in all, Ill definitely be going again soon!
First time there and a Fun place. Good beer selection and beer prices very reasonable compared to many places. Good appetizers. Will definitely return.
Went for a company event. Bowling was great. We ordered pizza, fries and wings. Food was better than expected for a bowling alley. Staff was nice and helpful. Good parking
