Great atmosphere no matter where you decide to sit. I love the speak easy vibe and the bartenders know their stuff. Delicious cocktails and a fun outdoor space. Can’t wait to be back in my hometown, so I can support this inclusive, loving and fabulous place again.

Quality cocktails and a cool atmosphere. The downstairs bar tends to feel more relaxed and the upstairs bar is usually more active. The rotating $10 cocktail list has yet to disappoint for a treat.

A friend suggested I give this bar a try, saying it seemed like the ideal bar I was looking for - he was right!The decor is what I like to describe as upscale hipster - with eclectic furnishings and decor, dim lighting and a early 1900s feel. It is in an old house they redid perfectly for a nice relaxed bar. It is two stories with bars on both floors making it pretty spacious and not over crowded.The drink menu is OUTSTANDING and also decently priced. The Flaming lips cocktail is by far the best cocktail I have ever had :DI think what makes this place better than others though is the staff - super knowledgeable and engaged with their drink goers. The Manager Cam will talk to and drink with you and get to know you and want to hear your opinions. And Brooke the bartender besides crafting the greatest drinks and knowing her stuff is a sweetheart.New favorite spot!

Nice chill place. Staff are friendly and helpful. Drinks are a little more expensive than expected but they are good. The baked potatoes appetizer was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves.

This is a jewel of a place. Out of the city, in a residential neighborhood. It was quiet when we went there. The bartender was super friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Hand made cocktails and great tap beers too. They have a food truck in the back. Its seperate to The Refresher. Had pulled pork sandwich with garlic fries. Delicious, big portion, excellent value. If you visit Rochester, you wont do wrong stopping by this place!

This is an awesome little spot with good drinks and good vibes. If you need a spot to catch up with a group of friends, this is the spot! It has the ambience of an old country lodge with the old school, well worn couches, and ample space both inside and outside. They had plenty of beers on tap and canned, a nice assortment of interesting cocktails, and the service was very friendly and welcoming. Theres also an food truck in the back with plenty of munchies. Definitely have to come back and explore the menu more!

Server didnt have any glassware after it was thrown out the night before.. cant drink beer without a glass.

Perfect place to drink with friends or go on a date post dinner. The vibe is relaxed and never intense yet has a good energy. During the weekends the bar gets busy in waves and there are two of them, one upstairs and one downstairs. They also have a great outdoor balcony with tables and chairs and their backyard sometimes has a food truck and live music which can contribute to a lively atmosphere that isnt overwhelming.

Cool place but could afford to have slightly more lighting.. Im 27 and I was having an issue reading the drink menu! I had to squint like and old man. Definitely made me feel old lol! Either that or redo the menu with larger font. But my wife and I did enjoy the place. The outdoor area in the back and the rooftop were enjoyable!

The bartenders and atmosphere of this place, keep me coming back for more. They have a wide variety of cocktails, can give you recommendations, and you can even get your own bottle keep. It can be very busy later at night, so if your looking for something more intimate, come early.

I went to see the band Noble Vibes here and loved the venue. They sound great here. I would Definately come here again for the good service and drinks as well. Did not try any food. Maybe next time

Probably my favorite bar in the area, the inside is a really cool vintage cocktail lounge. The bar tenders are extremely knowledgeable and are more than happy to chat about creating any cocktail youd like, or just serve you one of their many beers on tap. The outside area is very open and there is regularly a game or two of corn hole going on while a food truck serves up great food to enjoy at one of the many picnic tables that are set up.

The Daily Refresher came highly recommended by my daughter, so when we were looking for a place to host her college graduation celebration, it seemed like the perfect place!Everything went so smoothly; from the early planning stages to the actual event. Cameron was an absolute pleasure to work with; so relaxed and so professional. He and our fabulous bartender, Steve helped make the night a tremendous success! Drinks were amazing. Food was terrific. The private, upstairs bar / lounge area was incredible! Love the speakeasy vibe and ALL of our guests raved about it!Fantastic experience overall and we would highly recommend The Daily Refresher for any event.

I never in my life had such a rude server speak to me. The drinks I ordered came back with no ice that I asked for and I could tell they used cheap gin. Never again

Trendy, almost hipster vibe. A whiskey bar at heart (with other liquor options available too) that offers live entertainment, an outside seating/hangout space in the back, and a small finished attic-type space for a more intimate environment (also with a bar!).

Interior was beautiful. Burger was delicious and hit the spot.

Super Chill Vibes - I went straight up the stairs and got an old fashioned. The bartender was friendly and was willing to make recommendations. i liked the couches and music. I did not eat anything. I did go out on the patio to take a phone call. I would have liked if there was a heater outside.

Great atmosphere and their signature cocktails are amazing. The menu seems to change pretty often and I plan on returning to see whats new. Its a great place to go if you want to feel classy without being surrounded by anyone too pretentious. I recommend heading to the bar upstairs - the lounge area is perfect for an intimate conversation.

Been a repeat customer here for whenever I’m in town! Bartenders are very knowledgeable and produce consistently awesome drinks— even when they are busy.Whenever I go when it’s slow, the bartenders are willing to let me explore and make off menu or new concoctions to satisfy my tastes! Lots of variety in the amenities. Sit inside where its cozy or go outside and see some live music. Indoor bar and bathrooms are small so be prepared for a decent wait for both if its crowded. Food trucks are a great touch. Overall a good place to go either before or after clubbing next door or on a bar hop of the area.

We participated in a drink mixing class here and it was great. We learned quite a bit (who knew there was a science to mixing drinks?), had a lot of fun, and obviously had some delicious drinks. Id go back here for a drink any time

I loved the atmosphere. It was such a nice setup. It was not hard to buy drinks at the bar at all the bartenders knew what they were doing. I would recommend to everyone I know in the future. Even with it being a very busy Saturday night the bar was very clean as well.

I like the different atmosphere, the music, and Ive enjoyed trying out cocktails here, though Im not much of a cocktail drinker. Also a good selection of beers and ciders. I keep coming back for the pizza! Its so good! And did I mention the music selection? A really nice and different experience from other Rochester establishments.

I stopped by my first night in town and was quite impressed. Here, you dont have to break the bank to get a well-crafted cocktail. The menu feels adventurous and seasonal. They have excellent whiskey and beer offerings. After speaking w the lead bartender, Steven, I fell in love with the place. I came back the next night and took his recommendation for the following nights spot. They do an excellent job and I highly recommend them for a good drink and conversation.

The garlic parsley fries were delicious and plentiful. My cocktail was quite good, also. Fun, lively atmosphere. The band Aweful Kanawful was everything but [awful]... book them again!

We stayed downstairs where the vibe was candlelight and classic jazz soul & vocalists like Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, & Etta James.We got there late after work on Valentines night, around 10, so the special pairing menu was sold out, but the staff still had chocolates leftover which they offered us with nuts and olives to add to our parsley-garlic fries and drinks. My boyfriend is vegetarian, and this was incredibly kind of the staff because the limited menu is meat-centric, and since we arrived on our bikes asking about dinner options, they graciously ensured we didnt go hungry.Even though it was busy, and they seemed a bit short staffed and tired, the service was well above par. Everyone, even the door security staff, were incredibly welcoming. The fries were very garlicky, so YUM! The bartender sized us up well with the drink challenge and created a Jamaican rum and anise drink that fit Scott to a T. I ordered the violet liquer infused drink, which came with a generous spring of fresh sage. It was really delicious, and the flavor complimented the garlic surprisingly well, so theyve done a great job creating menu that balances well.We had a wonderful time and despite my skepticism of not being much into going to trendy places or bars often, I vet much look forward to returning to The Daily Refresher!

The best coctails ever and the Foodtruck is superb. The guys are awesome and very kind. Best customer service ever! We loved the second floor atmosphere as it feels open.

Out of all the bars at east and alexander area that I visited this one was my favorite. It was a quaint little bar which was cozy. There was a few tables set up but not too many. There isnt room for too many people in here which is also why i liked it.

The Daily Refresher is THE whiskey bar in ROC. Over 350 whiskeys, totally beautiful inside decor, and friendly, knowledgeable, skilled bartenders. The food truck out back is also great. Youll have a blast.

Some of the best cocktails that I have had. The Fighters Choice is my favorite drink to get because it is always something different but always great. Is a little pricey for Rochester but is worth it for thee experience and talent of the bartenders. The atmosphere is very relaxed and unique. The food truck out back has wonderful loaded fries!

One of the best whiskey bars in, and they also have tremendous cocktails. 2 floors so different ambiance, and the food truck out back in warmer months is a great stop to fill up.

It has a very rich atmosphere. My husband and his best friend love it here. Definitely more on the pricey side ($$$) but with the quiet atmosphere and well made drinks it is a place to visit at least once every couple weeks.

This bar is a great place to take a friend or a date to show them what Rochester is all about. The bartenders are friendly & knowledgeable. Watching them make drinks is fun! They take their craft very seriously. There are two bars, 2 outdoor seating areas, plenty of cool couches and tables to sit privately at. The bathroom is always clean. And I think they even have food out back? Check out their schedule because they have great musical events too!

By far my favorite bar on town. Classy but still comfortable atmosphere. Ask the bartenders to get imaginative with the drinks! They are amazing! During summer time you should really try the food truck. Mmmmmm ITS DELICIOUS. And the life music is wonderful! This place has it all!

Really cool and relaxed place to have a drink with friends. They have a great beer selection as well as a lot of really good and unique cocktails. The food is decent but nothing amazing. They have a cool backyard with some lawn games and tables. Overall really nice place and I will definitely go back, especially because I like the bars that dont always get super packed.

Great little chill hang out spot. They have a very unique drink menu, that is very good from what I have tasted so far. Its a little pricey but not too over the top for what they offer. It has a great atmosphere, and in the back they have an outdoor area with tables and a corn hole game set up.

The new tasting notes on the menu accompanying each drink (floral, sweet, herbal, dry, etc) are FABULOUS and, combined with the couches with clawed feet, make this a favorite cocktail bar indeed.

First time there, picked randomly after sitting at home for 10 minutes arguing about where we should go. We had a great time, were not disappointed, and will definitely be going back. The drinks were great and our bartender (Alison) was amazing. We tried the parsley/garlic fries and burger from the food truck out back and they were delicious.

Favorite bar in the east and Alexander area. Great outdoor space with a patio level, and an upper deck. There are 2 bars which helps keep things moving. In the summer they have a good truck serving typical bar food at a good price.

Fantastic time!! Great cocktails, knowledgeable staff. The back deck is the biggest in the area and fantastic in the summer! Also whiskey whiskey & whiskey! 300+ in house. Finally dont forget the awesomeness that is the food truck out back!

Just incredible cocktails. That alone would merit five stars, but they also have a very fun space - from the cozy upstairs bar to the large patio and backyard. The food offering is a little more than what usual bars have and a little less than a full blown restaurant. The banh mi is especially good. Plus the bartenders are very chatty and fun to hang with. Will be back here a lot.

The atmosphere was charming and relaxing. The fries and burgers were amazing but the chicken waffle left me wanting. Still, Id come back for a meal and drinks. Well worth the time.

Garlicky pulled pork fries are your best choice for Cheat Day; if you partake of the fruit of the swine, youll quickly discover why this delicacy is, well, Some Pig. Servers - both at the grill out back & bartenders up front - are dolls. Atmosphere is stylish but relaxed. Crowd could be a bit more diverse. There are games out back!

The bartenders are excellent and DJ Skylab I was on top of the best 80s music and accepts requests. It doesnt take him all night to play your either! Definitely found my second home

Awesome drinks, and great atmosphere. upstairs and downstairs bar really cut down on the wait for the bar on busy nights too.

Took way to long to receive service then it took 20+minutes for our drink order to be prepared. The bartender was doing other things and serving other guests we gave up and walked out after being there 40minutes without a drink. This is sad because Ive been here several times before and the service was good and the drinks were excellent...maybe it was just an off night.

Good drinks, but annoyingly hipster. In fact this bar beats you over the head with Edison bulbs, suspenders, thick-rimmed glasses, and rimmed hats so zealously that one wonders if the high price of the drinks might help pay for their shabby-chic decor or dress-code, not that youd see too much of it, its quite dark. Its very popular which I must admit them some credit for, but it results in a crammed, boisterous experience, which makes one feel less like a trendy hipster socialite and very much more like a tourist in a hipster themed section of a theme park crunched into a two story house. Its hard to even get a drink. Its a good problem to have, but only for them.When the weather is alright, their patio and yard are very enjoyable, and its much quieter. Outside they have a food truck in-place which serves quite good fries, smothered and otherwise, and other tasty things.
