I was so happy to experience live music again tonight. Photo City has done a great job ensuring safety, entertainment, and delicious food from sticky soul bbq. Wishing everyone at this venue continued success through these crazy times. Thank you for giving us back the music.

Really cute place! I love the chandeliers and leopard print on the walls! Only have been here once for a Vampire ball, but it looks like they can take on a bunch of themes. Cant wait to go back for other events!

Hands down the best sound and lighting in the Rochester NY area! Shows range from punk to metal to edm to comedy and everything in-between!

I have contacted the owner numerous times trying to book the venue for a private event 8 months in advance.....No return phone call after being referred and or 6 attempts. It cant be because the sound of my voice, theres numerous pics of different clientele .

Went to see a play my best friend Wrote and Produced. The space was perfect very nice and somewhat classy.

Just attended a concert here, It had amazing sound quality, as well as an enchanting interior.

Cool bar with fun events going on all the time. The bar area itself is somewhat small and has no seating, but the back area with the stage is pretty spacious. The stage can be difficult to view depending on the set up because its pretty low to the ground. Its impossible to see anything from the raised back area if there is a crowd standing near the stage. It can also get pretty hot in there when its super crowded, but in the non-summer months it doesnt get too bad.

Lots of different shows here and always a lot of fun.The bartenders are friendly and fun and it is always a good time to stop by.

Awesome little venue. The fact one can drink outdoors is a bit weird but on the whole really nice if youre a smoker or just need to get some air and dont want to either leave your beverage unattended or chug it. 5/5 would rave again.

Unique place, attended Vampire Ball there which was great fun, cant speak to the improv shows though as I have not seen.

I visited this establishment for a comedy show put on by a comedian named Joel James. I had a great time. The seating was comfortable and the staff was friendly. I frequent this place very often so I have had this experience countless times. For That, I will give it 5 stars.

This place is a really nice venue. I saw a few bands playing here and it sounded great, was very inviting, and it helps that they have a pretty nice bar, too. I definitely want to come back for some improv.

Photo City Improv deserves to become a Rochester Landmark. Open parking, fun atmosphere, well equipped with televisions a projector and sound booth, troop of great performers, and management that will get to know you. When you leave photo-city you want it to succeed which creates a valuable connection to the community.Suggestions: Keep hours that boring suburb folks such as myself can get behind. Late night is cool but you know what else is cool? Being a well rested and productive member of society.Also I hope that Photo-City becomes more of a resource for young performers. I can see that photo city is already headed in that direction and it makes me happy.Great place, come help it survive its first years!

Fantastic sound, great setup, loud music, and cheap drinks

They seem like a bar that puts off a heavy metal vibe but they are not. They have neon skulls behind the bar and witch stuff on the wall, and coffins, but when I request for them to play metal music they refuse and play 80s music. Seems like just a strip club if you want to pay for the show.

Great show last night, Lee Camp! Very funny! Love his insight and communication of the corporate world we live in.Perfect atmosphere and the staff are wonderful. We had a great time and were treated like royalty.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this venue! Went here for some local DJs and the venue itself was great, bartenders were awesome, and it was just all around great. I will definitely be back to check out some more bands !

Went for Live podcast, was a intimate setting

Nice comedy spot. Show was good, but the restaurant portion needs improvement. First time I was here, I was served cold food and was told it couldnt be changed because the kitchen was closed. Second time, the kitchen closed within 15 minutes of the show starting so I was not able to order any food. Also, needs more seafood and/or vegetarian options.

The interior decor is beautiful and I love going there to watch my friends burlesque shows. However... the bouncers there are very critical. Both my fiance and one of our friends had moments there where they would just walk funny or even when they would fall down the steps... theyre somehow considered drunk and would be asked to leave. Way to ruin someones good time, ya know?

I love working events at this venue. Hottest spot in town. Everyone that works here is wonderful and good looking :)

Absolutely amazing!! Beautiful environment, a mix of culture couldnt ask for more. A bit underground mixed with new and old, culture! Comedy to raving and everything between! Stop down and have a blast!

This bar & music venue has a loungy retro vibe with a seperate bar & event area (you know in case you actually want to hear what your friends are saying when you go to a show.) Depending on the night you can find a really diverse variety of performers here from local acts to worldwide touring bands.

Enjoyed the comedy and drinks on a very cold night. Interesting catered food.

I watched an entire comedy show without a lick of alcohol and i (angrily and soberly) laughed the entire time. Im not happy about that... or am I? Not sure. Take that as you may.

Went there for a night event and was lied to at the door about them serving alcohol. I payed a 20 dollar cover to be lied to at the door and not get service, staff was extremely rude and told me to get out if I dont like it.

Electronic music shows here are a lot of fun! They have a dance floor, bar, and plenty of parking.

They have a consistent music lineup on weekends and other acts as well perform there. A cool dancehall.

Gorgeous interior with good acoustics. Bar was reasonably priced and staff wad really accomidating.

I really wish zero was an option. My girlfriend was just here and a security guard sexually assaulted her and tried to take her into a back room and the when she freaked out he tried to have her kicked out for being to drunk. Highly unprofessional! Get rid of your scummy sleasy security guards and do better!

The food is usually pretty good and portion sizes are good for the price. However​, I dont know if its bad luck on my part or just the way things are, but seems like every time I go the service is always very slow.
