Ive gone to Dan Ross for a few different tattoos (currently a coral reef/ ocean sleeve) he is always extremely professional, honest, and very clean. He makes it all easy and is extremely skilled. He is well versed in many styles. Their Facebook page is an easy way to get a hold of them. I highly recommend Art to zen and they have earned my business for a lifetime.

Art to Zen is one of the most professional shops in the Rochester area. I began work on my sleeve tattoo and the owner Dan, who was the artist I selected, drew up amazing custom artwork based on a rough idea in my head. It has turned out amazing and holds the color brilliantly to this day, and it is now 9 years later. I’ve received tattoos elsewhere because I now reside in Florida, however going forward I will wait to book with Dan when I am visiting family in Rochester. A+ work, A+ environment, and A+ staff.

Visited new shop on 441 Stone Rd for work on something i started years ago. Multiple times on same tattoo, years apart and no clue how I wanted it done but Dan still finds cool ways to add / blend it together / make it one of a kind. New shop is huge and individual rooms much more private. Better neighborhood for sure and plenty of Art and cool stuff to see inside. Wont ever go anywhere else (more so with the new location) Only ~5 minutes away from the old place on lake ave

The owner Dan Ross was very shady from the beginning. He is very quick when it comes down to saving money. He made my wife a little uncomfortable and I caught him looking at her inappropriately. We met him at a bar to to make a final payment when he was very intoxicated. He then admitted to me when I saw him at New Year’s Eve event that he checked out my wife and his words were “do you blame”? After that he said that we didn’t pay him enough after we did and for an unfinished piece that he did. He didn’t want to add any coloring. He then teamed up with a bunch of people online to try and tarnish my wife’s professional career by sending an email to the whole staff at her college with a rediculous claim to try and get her kicked out of school. When this guy doesn’t get what he wants he will try to ruin your life. Beware of this artist ladies.

Went to Art to Zen for my most recent tattoo. I didnt have an an appointment, but was seen right away. I gave Billie Jean a pic of my idea, and she reworked it with me and gave me an excellent tattoo. The price was great, the shop was cool with great art all over the walls. I will definitely be back!

Pat Ross is my artist and he has been working on a sleeve with me for about a year now and I will hopefully be going back very soon. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont receive a compliment from a complete stranger. That shows the level of talent.

Heard good things about this place. Even went to the owner dan Ross who was friendly but I was completely dissappointed with my tattoo. He charged by the hour and took multiple smoke breaks which spread out my time longer so he charged me a lot more than what I expected it to be. My tattoo turned out nothing like how I wanted it . I feel like he didnt really wanna do my tattoo so he basically slapped it on and didnt really care how it turned out. It covers my whole forearm and it looks terrible. I wear long sleeves everyday to hide it from everyone. Planning on getting it covered hopefully very soon.

Studio was nice and people were friendly however I got the worst tattoo ever! Not even remotely close to what I wanted. As I was leaving I was planning on going someplace else to get it covered up.

Have never had a bad tattoo and the prices are wonderful.
