We ordered a mailbox from them in 2009. We live coastal, and the box deteriorated within 2 years.I sent a photo to them, and they quickly sent out a new box with no charge which was great and unexpected. Unfortunately, the second mailbox did not even last as long as the first. I wrote them again in May of this year letting them know I was happy to pay for a new one, however can they provide a product that could stand up to weather elements or at least one that lasts more than 1 year. I have received no return call, or email, and that is after leaving 3 voice mails since May, and sending 4 emails.Something has happened to their quality and customer service. Even though the design is nice, the product is not good at all. Continued 12/11/14... I just received an email from Ginger, the designer. It sounds like there were a lot of changes this past year adding to some of the customer service issues and product quality. She is addressing all of the issues, and wrote me a heartfelt email with a lengthy explanation. She is resolving my issue, and I believe changing production vendors if she has not already. Thanks Ginger!
House Art makes a very attractive mailbox, with that being said though its not durable at all as their powder coating doesnt last and their mailboxes rust easily at all attachment points. While this could be attributed to a lot related manufacturing issue, the fact that their direct phone number connects you to an answering machine and message go un-returned as do emails. There are numerous comments around the web on similar problems. Expensive products, coupled with unacceptable Customer Service should send anyone to another choice.
