Ali is one of the best tattoo artists I have had the pleasure of working with. Very clean area and makes you feel comfortable right away. She would be great if going for a first tattoo, very gentle compared to some I have had done she books out fast so get in when you can!

Very satisfied with the overall experience that the Collective Studios Staff had provided me of getting my first tattoo. They guided me through the whole aftercare process and even gave me a take-home step by step direction sheet of what to do from when I leave the shop until the tattoo is fully recovered. The staff was very nice and had answered any questions that I had for them.The tattoo itself is amazing. I went in with a picture of a tattoo I wanted mine to look like/resemble and Larry did the best job making the tattoo I wanted. It took the amount of time that he told me it would take and costed the amount he estimated at my consultation. They have very nice artwork in the studio as well and has a very comfy feeling inside the shop. Larry is a very talented guy with a good working team over at Collective Studios Ink and I highly suggest you take your business to him.

I have been a client of Larry’s for about 10 years now. I have had the pleasure to get tattoos by him from almost every shop he’s been at! I am so happy that he has his own shop front now!!! It is clean, looks great, and feels very homey.Dana at the front desk is always very helpful and accommodating, even when I’ve had to reschedule because of weather (snow, ugh ).Make sure you take a look around because a majority of the artwork there is for sale!

Hands down the best tattoo shop that I have ever been to. Larry is incredibly talented and did a phenomenal job on my tattoo! He took his time and made sure that it looked top notch. Dayna, the shop manager, was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Both of them took were very patient with all my questions and made sure that I knew what to expect. The shop is very clean. The studio is also a gallery that has work by Michigan artists with pieces youre unlikely to see anywhere else, which is awesome. I will be getting all my tattoos here from now on.I would highly recommend this studio!

What an awesome place, we will be back. My sister and I got “Sister tattoos” we were treated very kindly and the artist took his time with us and made sure we got exactly everything right. We were going to go to another place first and then we walked plast this place and decided to go in and talk to them. The receptionist was amazing and answered all of our questions. She made us feel so comfortable we decided to get our tattoos here instead of the other place. We are so happy!

My wife and I discovered Larrys talent from a friend who had an incredible leg piece done by him, it looked so real we had to go see Larry for ourselves. Little did we know, his diverse ability would impress us so much we would return to him time after time over the course of 6 years. We heard he went into a new venture with Collective Studios Ink and have been multiple times since they opened. It is a great atmosphere, clean, and filled incredible pieces of work from local artists. They hold true to their timelines and are more than accommodating to their customers. My wife and I constantly get asked where our tattoos were done and if we can give them a card or number they can contact Larry for a consultation. If you want an overall great experience and an amazing tattoo Larry and Collective Studios Ink is the place to go.

I have had one tattoo done here. I would have to describe it as mediocre. I got the tattoo less than two months ago and I already need it touched up because the shading isn’t adequately filled in, the lines do not look like they were completed on two different areas of my tattoo. I was really excited about this concept that was provided to me and I honestly feel let down.I also felt like my time was not as valued as other clients and that the piece was rushed through. While I understand that tattoos do take time to draw up, I’m almost positive mine was completely forgotten about. I was given a two week time frame initially when I went in October 23, as the artist had approximately 2–3 pieces to draw ahead of mine. I waited until almost four weeks had passed and called the shop and the person I spoke to stated that the artist had gotten busy and had 2-3 pieces to draw ahead of mine, which I was confused by because that’s what was initially told to me, so I feel like mine was either forgotten about, since I waited almost an extra two weeks before I contacted him, or that I was being purposely misled instead of telling me what was going on, as I did put down a deposit. I will say that the concept that was provided to me was well done and the artist did take my initial idea and elevated it quite well. I just feel disappointed that the piece that I was supposed to get based on the art work provided to me and the piece I ended up with simply are not on equal footing. When I have discussed the tattoo with others, both tattoo artists and acquaintances, they have stated that the work does look rushed and better attention could have gone into the detailing.I found it difficult to communicate with the shop. As previously stated, there was misinformation given about the piece I had done already. I had scheduled another consultation to address the concerns about the first tattoo and discuss another tattoo. When I entered the shop, there was a scheduling error, which I do understand happens. But it wasn’t handled well and I felt dismissed by the artist because he had someone else waiting. So what I feel like could have been a situation where the shop could have retained both clients that have shown a willingness to spend money and make recommendations to others, the artist deemed one client was of higher priority and importance. I have made the decision to go to another shop for what I want done, but I think the whole issue could have been avoided altogether.

Complete scam. Set up a an appointment for a tattoo consultation in August, gave Larry a $60 deposit fee, never heard back. Emailed the shop in October and they said it was still in the works. Then after multiple attempts, the old shop says that Larry opened up a new shop. After contacting Larry, he claimed that he did do the sketch and that all deposits are not refundable. Larry took the money knowing he was going to open up a new shop and did not disclose that information, took the money and never emailed a sketch, never contacted, and is still refusing to return the deposit

I got lucky having Larry do my first tattoo. Watch the man do his magic
