Nice open space to get some fresh air during Covid times. It isnt particularly rural but the paths are wide enough to pass others with space and it just feels good to be outside. Dogs are allowed off-leash on most of the trails. I think thats great but I know others might avoid this area as a result.
This park is very nice and very spread out. We had a troop meeting there and there was plenty of space for multiple, different, groups of people to hang out while maintaining physical distancing. The kids love the buckeye trees and the vast grassy areas. Will definitely be visiting this place again!
Its so nice and clean up there Ill go back as much as possible. The best thing about it is the rocks and bolders are clean no spray paint. So go and see for yourself, take a picnic lunch wander around its so peaceful... Most of all enjoy yourself.
Always beautiful for a walk. Very photogenic place. Clean bathrooms and outhouse if youre in the parking lot. Theyve been work on the trail and it shows and it looks a lot nicer and even. Good for parties (but please clean up for you slobs out there). You can end up doing a hike up on the hills. Just a super pleasant park
There is a nice creek in the park. The best thing about it is the rocks and bolder are clean no spray paint.
There is a nice creek in the park. My kids loved climbing rocks there and there wasnt much water in the creek. Its a good place on a hot day as the creek is quite shaded.
Pretty park easy parking nice!
Nice place for hiking and many activities fir the whole family. Well limited now due to pandemic protocols
Lots of space to run around.
I have been coming to this park for many years and it has continued to be a place of recreation, play, exploration, thanks to the new trails that were added in the last few years. I now take my daughter to this park and we play and hike and explore just the same as I did when I was her age . Kind of special, dont you think?
Good yet easy hiking with great east bay views. Busy on weekends.
Great running trails! Often crowded at the start but beautiful once away from the crowds and parking lot.
You can walk or ride all the way to Berkeley. You can sit on the bench at the top of the hill and see SF (if there is no fog). There is a cute Creek by the picnic area and a hidden Creek to the left of the trail going up the hill. Try and find it. Dont do it during rainy season because you will get stuck in the mud. I love this park.
Rest peacefully uncle Jim
Wide open spaces. Great hiking trails.
Limited bathrooms but big open fields to run around
Well for a person that likes to walk in places with alot if trees and love nature this is the place, and you can do a lot with family and friends so i can recommend this for anyone.
On the street parking, wherever you can find it, hated that. There is a caretaker with a vehicle to drive down items which are to heavy, much to take load down in to park. They will also give rides to elderly, or people who are unable to make journey down into the park. Its a Secluded area with some perfect shade and clean nice restrooms. Great for large family partys. Lots of room and play area for kids and games.
The staff is great, Bart was awesome. Very helpful all day. The policies are the direct opposite. Vehicle access prohibited at all cost, even if you rent a park site and have a truck load of chairs. Thankfully the staff is great.
Great park! Many events held here! been going here since I was a kid!
What a beautiful experience!
Very helpful park workers and polite Im handicapped and they were very attentive .

Wonderful park with a great diversity of environments. Family oriented bbq area, redwood forest, great steam for river walks and incredible bite from the top of the ridge. Just watch out for the poison oak.

Nice trails to walk. A small park for kids to play. The swings are no longer there.
Beautiful day. Not crowded but there was a lot of people, memorial day weekend. Very green, well taken care of, no graffiti or drug use. This park is amazing for walking, running, biking, relaxing, playing. Very well hidden too. My dad basically grew up there and still goes.
Great place to trail run anytime in the day.

Good place to hang out and once your done walking(hicking) wildcat. You can walk to this park and hang out
Enjoyed the hike, beware of cows. :)
A secret gem in the middle of Richmond. Took me years to stumble upon it. Great hiking, nice picnic areas, always clean and theres a creek. My son loves coming here and climbing everything :)
Nice, but we couldnt grill due to all the fires that have been going around in Concord area.
Left side hiking side is the best.
The carpark to the picnic area is a bit of walk on unpaved road, better use your stroller if your kids are young.
Nice place to spend a sunday morning.
... well-planned venue and location - much active hiking & the Park is very well laid-out and maintained...
Nice park for long walks.
As usual East Bay Regional Parks works very hard at this park. There are hiking trails, biking trails, a pristine Creek, kids play structures, restrooms and sweeping views from the upper trails.
Great park. Usually clean and not crowded. Upper trails great for off leash dog walks
Great park for hiking, biking, picnic... or just relaxing and enjoying the nature..
Excellent place for a walk/hike/bike (on some trails), with or without the dogs. No leash required 250 feet from the parking lot. Pavement, gravel firetrail and singletrack.
Amazing park, I walk there at least once every single day. So much history here, its unique in the regional park system for retaining the historical stonework from the WPA in the 30s. The rangers are awesome and go out of their way to assist people who enjoy the park. Love this park.
Dangerous Park where evil ninjas hide in the bushes waiting to shoot you with poison darts. You must bring your own superheroes for the final showdown with evil
Beautiful and clean . Park rangers always on patrol safe feeling.
I really liked it here. We walked on Saturday morning along wild cat creek trail for 2 miles then turned around. It was a nice mix of small hills and flat area. It was foggy so we didnt get to see much but the green vegetation and no cars or buildings was good enough for us.
Good local easy hiking spot. Great photo opportunities.
