As a wedding videographer, Im always hoping for a GORGEOUS venue to film when it comes to wedding day. The Historic Mankin Mansion did NOT disappoint! Not only were the grounds PERFECT for the film, the staff was professional and extremely helpful to me the entire wedding day. Despite the rain moving the wedding indoors and grounding my drone flight, the day was beautiful and everyone still had a great time!

The minute my (now) husband sent me photos from The Historic Mankin Mansion after we got engaged, I knew we HAD to get married there. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, the staff is super helpful, and our wedding experience was just perfect. They really take care of everything from start to finish so you can truly enjoy your special day. I cant recommend them enough!

My wedding at Mankin was a dream!! My husband and I were blown away by the classic and elegant feel of the venue as well as the attention to detail our wedding planner and planning team took to make our special day run smoothly from setting out decorations to connecting with vendors. I had a WONDERFUL wedding at Mankin! Highly recommend as a wedding venue.

From the very first moment I stepped foot at the Historic Mankin Mansion, I knew it was the perfect wedding venue for me! We booked the full week weekend package and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!! Everything was so perfect and flawless and stress-free because of this venue. From having a wedding coordinator built in to the package (shout out to Lauren!) to providing cottages for up to 16 overnight guests, they really have thought of everything and give you a lot of bang for your buck! At our very first meeting to tour the venue, we were greeted by Martin (one of the owners with his wife Paula) and offered heart shaped cookies and beverages. That alone shows that they go the extra mile to make you feel special and cared for during your time on their property. They do such a great job planning and coordinating with you and your vendors, on the wedding day you pretty much just have to show up and let them run the show! Lauren, Madison, Martin, Paula and the entire team truly made us feel welcome, loved, cared for and completely at ease during the planning phases and the entire wedding weekend. I swear when I needed a straw during the wedding night they found me a straw within 2 seconds! Their level of professionalism and customer service is high quality and our guests couldn’t stop raving about how amazing the venue was! If you’re getting married you should really consider this as a top contender for your special day!!

Beautiful historic place. Excellent chioce made by the bride and groom. The grounds are maintained well and the inside ball room was so beautiful with all the chandeliers and lighting. If your looking for a very formal place, this is it... #kermitslife

Wow! Everything about this venue was perfect. It is gorgeous, and while we didn’t need it, it was important to me that the rain plan was as stunning as the outdoor ceremony location. It was incredibly helpful to have the planner/day of coordinator included, and the team made everything so easy and seamless in the months leading up to the wedding all the way through the day after. Madison was an absolute delight to work with! She is incredibly knowledgeable and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Our day was magical and stress free because she took care of everything before we could even think about it. I cannot thank Madison and the team at Mankin Mansion for making everything so smooth and easy for us!

Venue was perfect, staff was more than helpful. They made the wedding easy, efficient and did it all at a good price. I would do it all over again at the same place if given the choice. I can’t speak highly enough about the professionalism and courtesy given by the staff on hand. Highly recommended. I was hesitant about their provided DJ, but he produced the best wedding dancing that our guests had ever experienced.

It was a great experience! The only day it snowed in Dec 2018, and we had our wedding there that day! Who would have thought it would snow? Nonetheless the staff was awesome! They made it still feel as if there was no snow. Madison and her team were excellent! We absolutely enjoyed our experience with the unfortunate weather but this venue was excellent! We would come back to host a family event there anytime. Their staff made my wife feel so happy on her day and even till this day one of the best pictures we cherish of that was with Madison.

The mankin mansion is breathtaking and I still can’t believe my wedding took place less than a month ago. Martin and Paula have out done there selves, the place is gorgeous. The planning team made my day effortless Madison take care of everything. My family and friends are still talking about the mankin mansion team and how the day went so smooth! It was a rainy Sunday last July when we toured the Historic Mankin Mansion. It was the fourth venue we looked at and the third in the rain, despite the rain we instantly fell in love with it. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the amenities it included were well worth the money. The Mansion comes with a coordinator throughout the planning process who is there for the day of and a DJ which of course are two big ticket items. There are two options for a ceremony space as well as cocktail hour and one for the reception all of which are gorgeous and naturally beautiful. The grounds also include spaces for both parties to get ready and hang out before the ceremony.From the moment we signed on and started gathering our other vendors as soon as we would tell them where our wedding was being held they told us that they had no further questions for us if we had none for them as we were in such good hands. We quickly learned this to be true as our coordinator Lauren made the whole process seem so easy.The Mansion has a required list of caterers to choose from and also gives a list of preferred vendors to help you get started. I later learned that our photographer was on that list and I found our florist on the list. The planning process with the Mansion includes a few meetings and little bits of homework to keep the couple on track with the things that need to get done. The process kind of takes care of it self as our planner Lauren walked us through each step and was always an email away if we ever had any questions.The reputation the Historic Mankin Mansion has in the community speaks for itself and we had the best experience using them. We had a beautiful day and were so happy to join the ranks of Mankin couples.

Very interesting place. This is not like the other wedding venues. This location has several small cottages and sleeps 16. The place is well lit and upgraded. The owners have really spent time, money and energy into building this location. It’s a bit on the higher priced side. It’s size is relatively small. To some of the other venues in Richmond Chester and New Kent very well decorated and friendly staffing. Flowers’s are everywhere !!!

We are planning our wedding here for June 2019 and I’ve been so happy with the service and process. The staff makes it easy to plan and coordinate and they answer all of my questions quickly and directly (which I really appreciate). Initially I was thinking the price would be too much, but when you consider all the things that are included in the cost of the venue it’s actually quite reasonable. They provide a DJ, day of coordinator, tables, chairs, and a handful of additional services that would quickly add up elsewhere. I’m very excited to see it all come together and glad to be working with this excellent group!

Went here for a wedding recently and it was beautiful. Only complaint is that all of the paths around the outside are super rocky and not maintained which we werent warned about. I definitely wouldve worn different shoes if we had been. Overall great experience and stunning grounds.

Beautiful venue. The people were organized, pleasant and dedicated to ensuring that the event happened seamlessly. Getting to the parking area was a bit rustic and bumpy (not paved), but the beauty of the facility made up for that inconvenience. If you want that romantic charm this is the place!

I attended an outdoor wedding at the Mansion. The Mansion itself was a beautiful historic venue that had lots of space and has been well kept. The only complaint I have is the restrooms are a little difficult to find to say the least.

I attended a beautifully planned and executed wedding. The staff was kind and genuinely helpful, and the location was romantic with vintage elegance. I loved it!

Nice place for an outdoor wedding with a terrific aesthetic. Beautiful brickwork gazebos and lawn space provides lots of room for activities. On the day I was there, we were fairly close to the airport flight path. I thought this would be a bigger issue than it was, as the disruption was pretty much negligible.

Beautiful place, but the experience here was horrible. They are money hungry and there are a lot more places that you can have a wedding that are not as expensive. Tried to get them to refund my money and they refused to do so. So with that being said, I would not recommend this place at all due to the unprofessional attitudes of the owners and staff.
