Very nice wooded sites. Ours was pull through and had a nice deck and picnic table. Hookups close by and convenient. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Due to covid, we did not check out their other amenities. We were there in our motorhome. Would stay there again.
Owners are very nice & helpful. They have discounts for various clubs. Covid rules have some amenities closed such as laundry.Spots are spacious, some have gravel, looks like others are grass.
Myself and band mate just returned from a wonderful camping experience at Deer Ridge. The staff was extremely helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. We will be returning again and again!
Extremely quiet and comfortable Campground. Very nice owners that are very personable and you see them out and about taking care of stuff all the time. Friendly people. Its a bit close to the interstate but if youre aware of that you already know youre going to get a bit of Interstate noise. Not enough to detract from the peacefulness of the campground in our opinion. Did not use the pool but it looks very inviting and they have a laundry room and a couple of shower rooms. Had our own camper so we did not use any of those amenities either. Very reasonably priced and a joy to sit relax at. Very well-kept Campground.
Could probably have 5 stars if Scott dealt with all of the campers instead of his wife Pat!
Nice place. Some folks complain about the highway nearby. The frogs and crickets and birds mask it. Lovely settings.Ive been to a few campgrounds larger than this and have never seen this many American flags out! As a Veteran, I was pleased and humbled.Thank You Scott and family for hosting us.We will come back again!
Very helpful owners.I called when I was about two hours away too see how late check in was, I was cutting it close and they offered to stay until I arrived. The camp ground is clean and wooded, if you are a very light sleeper and in a tent you can hear the highway but it wasnt close enough to bother me.Facilities are older but clean, I was just there for the night to sleep but they have a playground, small store, and a common area/game room by the main office.I noticed a sign for laundry but didnt check it out as I was just crashing for the night.I would stay here again.
Quiet campground, for the most part. Any time Ive been there, the owners of the place always stop us in our campsite to tell us to do/not to do something. Back your car in further, try the apples next door, drive slower, lock the pool gate next time... Also, any visitors are $5 a person all year. My parents just want a quiet place to chill by the fire, I promise they arent causing $10 worth of trouble.
No freeway traffic. Awesome
Gracious On-Site Owners & Hosts. Pat & Scott provide super friendly concierge level service - and they offer intimate knowledge of the Richmond community,. The facilities have evolved under their own vision for providing a quality experience. It is a nicely designed and matured operation. We stopped in for a overnight, and stayed for three. Highly recommended.
I think the owners are very helpful. The place is clean, quite, lots of trees and cute things for kids to do. The owners helped us set up in the dark & rain the night we drove in. They keep the garbage dumped. The rates are reasonable. The showers are clean.
Nice park. Mostly long term but they are well taken care of. Pool looks nice. We did not use the rest rooms.
Wonderful hospitality by the hosts. Saved a spot without requiring a credit card. Grounds well kept, pool well kept, great dog run area, large spots, and great character! Also includes a tent area. Reasonable prices. Does not have WiFi but cell towers are located close to the campground. Cell service was great and satellite tv worked well. Great location and easy to get back into the interstate or into town for eating and shopping. Large open areas for activities including mini golf course, horseshoes, and swing set. Office and store had a great selection of items including camping, cooking, house decor, jewelry, clothing and more. Prices incredibly reasonable! Bonus for us as they offer a military/Veteran discount. Great place to stop over for a night or get some peace and quiet for a few days.
Friendly staff/owners. Interesting ambiance. All of the amenities we needed (electric, sewer, water & laundry)
This is the best camping resort I have ever been to still here and loving it my 3 year old loves it here there is so much to do and very very clean very nice people
Very quite, clean, and friendly owners and staff. If your looking for a quite peaceful place to stay, this is it. I have a 38 5th wheel. No issue getting in or out.
All around great place. Quiet, relaxing. Couldnt ask for better owners. Pat and Scott always go above and beyond.
Super friendly, made us feel like coming back again, super clean, nice sites, plus some large sites for larger campers, felt like home, thanks
Not bad at all. Clean and friendly. Just ask Scott if good and Geoge if bad( not likely).
The owners are the kindest and most generous of hosts. Our truck broke down just as we pulled into the campgrounds. Scott, the owner, was on the phone immediately finding help for us. MM, a seasonal camper, was also very helpful. The garage they directed us to had it repaired in a day and they were very reasonable. Scott drove my husband to the garage and later that day lent us his truck to pick up ours.
Best place for camping. Family oriented great people. I highly recommend it
Nice stop. It had a nice pool we cooled off in. It was quiet when we were there. However. They were parking people every other site. If they had parked people in every site, you wouldnt have been able to breathe. So, if you go at a busy time, like a holiday, beware. It was full hook-ups which is nice, but we wouldnt have wanted to stay very long. It was just a stop over for one night. They take AAA and give military discount in case you have either. It was $40 a night without.
Great owners, and take very good care of their property. Have family who camp there every year. Always a good time at Deer Ridge.
Called to make reservations. Told the owner lady we had one trailer with 2 adults and one trailer with one adult and wanted to put a tent on one of the sites with 2 adults staying in it. She said no problem I will just charge u for the one extra adult. When we arrived she said she had thought about it and we will have to pay for a third site for the tent. She said she didnt have a site next to the other two but we could still put up the tent on one of the first two sites. So we had to pay an extra $100 for a site we never used. The tent never used any electricity, water, or sewer so why did we have to pay $100 instead of the original extra person price. Also when we were checking in she says the sign on pool states hours are from 9am to 10 pm but they always lock the gates at 9pm instead of 10pm. We were going to go swimming on Sunday morning before we had to pack up and leave at the very early check out time of noon, but as we drove away at noon the pool gates were still locked so no morning swim. The entire weekend the owners would drive around and stare at every move you made as though you were stealing something or breaking one of there many rules. On the plus side the man owner seemed much more relaxed and pleasant to deal with.we would love to come back it is a beautiful campground and close to home but we dont want to be stared at all weekend or pay that ridiculous prices for a site we dont even use.
Went in on PA and stayed just a night. Was quiet and kept up. Our site was not real level but made it work. Lots of trees for shade. Owner a little rabid about speed limit but was nice and we had no problem adhering to it.
Quiet, clean, great place to get away and relax.
A beautiful camp grounds very quite an d very shady
Awesome campground. Pat was so helpful and friendly to our Discovery group of 6 coaches. Very accommodating. Thanks so much!
Friendly host and very clean. Kids love finding the painted rocks. Beautiful carved stumps all over.
The spacious grassy sites thoughtfully placed among the rolling, wooded, well groomed knolls, provide privacy and a tranquil change to parking lot parks. VERY veteran friendly. Highly recommend it if youre in the Eastern Indiana area along the I70 corridor. Truly had a wonderful stay. One star held back due to lack of connectivity. (Perhaps a good thing!)
Love this campground staff is so nice and place is so clean
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Ridge Very Much! Long Pull Thru Site was perfect for us travelling with 3 Granddaughters! Highly Recommend This Campground!
Very easy to access, very friendly staff, nice amenities. All sites have nice open views. We will be coming back on return trip to Florida.A very relaxed place, very peaceful.D. Knotts. Sebastian, Florida
This is the beat place to camp. Very family oriented and the owners are great people. This is our 2nd year here and well continue to camp here. They make you feel at home
Very nice and quiet. Owners are Very Accomodating. It the fanciest but very nice. Most all sites are very shaded.
The grounds are well kept and owners/staff were friendly and helpful. Close to town but still quiet and peaceful. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Awesome RV park! Weve been to countless RV parks through out the country and this one is amongst the best. Great hospitality and clean amenities, wish all RV parks were like this one!
They Have Good Camp Grounds
Best place to go camping. We live it here and we love the owners theyre just like family
Nice surroundings. Well kept. Friendly staff. Wish we could if stayed longer.right off of highway 70. Great fot kids. Playground and swimming
Beautiful place, nice owner.
Love the craft workshops Pat brings to the campground...So much fun and relaxing meeting new people at each event.
Very Beautiful Park!!!!! Campground very well maintained, lots of activities for the family!!! Dogs are welcome!!!! We were traveling on Memorial Day Weekend and needed a park for one night which is definitely challenging on this weekend!!!! The manager couldnt of been anymore accommodating stating he was holding one spot for a veteran which my husband was thankfully serving our country years ago!!! Location is very convenient off of I-70!!!!
Full hookup and a pool. Less than $20 for Passport America. Its close to I-70 which makes it convenient to get to, but also makes it loud at night!
The wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday to check out the campground and tour it. The owner said he had a site we could reserve for the upcoming weekend, Saturday and Sunday. So, he wrote our information in and we told him we would be there Saturday with our 40 foot rig. We get there Saturday and he has given away our site. Said we could have another site that was all grass and it was raining. Rain, grass and a almost 40,000 pound rig is not a good mix!! So, to say we were disappointed is an understatement!! Why would they give away our site? Also, if they give away our site why not call us and let us know?? Its a lot of work to get everything ready to go camping and to have to turn around and come back home! He did apologise but, still very aggravating!! Ruined our weekend and whole trip!! He said we could have a free night next time....... Not going to be a next time with this type of customer service!!
Great place to relax
Great place, good price
Friendly people reasonable rates nice campground
DRCR is a great spot to get away with spacious sites and beautiful views. They are very accommodating and wonderful hosts! Would definitely recommend this resort to those who are traveling or for more permanent residents!
The owners are very nice people and its just a nice little quiet campground with full hook-up! Nice pool! Our family has been camping here for almost 20 years
No WiFi only a hotspot near the office. Nice woman on the phone and nice man showed us to our site, but when the woman in the office was asked a few questions her attitude implied she was bothered at having to answer.
Quiet campground close to freeway and all amenities. Activities and a nice pool, run by friendly owners.
Its a clean and affordable campground. The owners are very intrusive. It felt like the didnt want children in the park. A couple campers down was playing music and they were asked to turn it down. This was at 2 in the afternoon. I will not be returning to this park.
Had a lovely time and my family reunion.
Great RV park. Clean, friendly, and a lot of room.
Nice campground, friendly staff, easy off and on from I70. Good utility hookups, nice pool.
Very quiet during sleeping times. Owners very responsive. A brief problem with water pressure.
Great place. Scott takes care of his military. Highly recommend it.
Friendly staff clean and quiet
Had a nice stay, owners were great
Every time I went to the store it was closed with a sign be back __:__. When I arrived asked where I could walk my dogs and was told anywhere just keep out of other peoples site, keep leashed and clean up. About 4 hours later the lady owning the place jumped my but because I was walking in an open field, She actually screamed I might break my leg and SHE was not going to be responsible. First day I walked down the road and there were two bags, like bread bags, blowing around on road saw the guy that checked me in standing right there and on the day I left they were still there. All in all not real impressed.
Amazing, Kid Friendly place to unwind and hang out! They have a lot of things to do!!!
