This joint is the Jam! Much like its name sake groove by Chic in ‘78. I love the creations launched by the BT’s. My faves are the Chappaquidick ( leaves you feeling completelyunder water for days), the McVeigh ( great for when you messin’ and fertilizin’) and lastly the Manson (for when you feel the need to paint murals on walls). Can’t wait for the reopen.”1

I wasnt able to eat here during the VA black restaurant week experience, but I made myself a promise to check this restaurant out, Im glad I did. I ordered the Salmon BLT online for takeout. I didnt want my friend to get cold, so I started eating in the car, they were perfect, crispy, seasoned with salt and pepper. Before I decided to pull off I took a bite of the Salmon BLT, DAMN! I had to park the car and eat everything right there, lol. The Salmon was amazing, it was cooked just right and the bacon was on point. Excellent job! Ill definitely be going back. Instead of inhaling everything again, Ill remember to take a picture to share first.

Good times it is!!!! I love this night club, great food, great music, great drinks and good people... GOOD TIMES!!!! The set up is very nice, laid back, its a night environment for a older crowd and some nights they have a young crowd, but either way its always GOOD TIMES at this place!!! Leave out happy..... And PARKING is somewhat okay, to get A GOOD SPOT do like I do n arrive early if you come late its nooo where to park!! We happened to be there right at opening time and the Manager could not have been friendlier nor more concerned with the taste of our meal. As we were there early and beat the normal Friday crowd, he spent a lot of time making sure we were satisfied. Food was tasty and abundant. We enjoyed that meal just as much the next day.

The food was soooo good I ordered salmon with yellow rice n greens .DELICIOUS OKAY ! The staff was very nice and showed great hospitality! To top it off the drinks were refreshing . WILL BE BACK . They had a dj on wed night that plays old school RnB I really enjoyed that as well !

Nothing bad or to complain about this place. Visited 3 times already. The food is EXCELLENT! Staff is great. Last time I visited on a Friday they had Hi Definition band and I was so in love. Nice first date spot.

Not worth the $40 if you come late. Hell, not even worth the $10 if you come early. Bartender DO NOT NO HOW TO MAKE DRINKS AT ALL. ALL YOU WILL GET IS SYRUP!!! They pick and choose who can do what or wear certain things there, so dont call and ask about a dress code because what they tell you on the phone is going to be different when you get there in person. Smoke cigarettes, you cant bring them in the lounge. Where hats and do rags, cant have them on either. Like to wear Jordans, thats a NO ladies (THAT IS, IF YOURE NOT A GOOD TYME SUPERSTAR). Security let in who they want to let in there with whatever on. If you dont like smoke, then this is not place for you either because people still smoke cigarettes and everything else in the men and women restroom. Food was absolutely disgusting!!!!

Let me explain why I’m giving 3 stars the food was excellent the band and dj was good. Ok bad.. it was my 50th birthday celebration. As normal I planned for a few friends and family however my cousin planned other as a surprise. The reservation was for 15 people well I had over 50 to show. Everyone understood they could not sit at the table, there was other people who had reserved had tables and extended the area, they was excited because I was crying to see my family from out of state. When reserving you are told several times to be there by 7:30 for your reservation(or I was) there was a section that no one was sitting and it was after 9 so my group sat down, the manager comes over and makes a big deal, at this point I’m ready to take my group somewhere else! However my cousin talks to the manager and he says they can stay til the other party shows up at 10:30, the group never came, I was there til 1. When reserving I received several calls, I know over 7 that I didn’t erase, stating that each person had to order $15 of food because it is free on Friday, the manager called Friday confirming the time and the amount of $15 each. I don’t do a lot of drinking so I told people before coming two weeks ahead this what has to be done. Well that night it changes to $20 of food, really?? I told him that is not what he said on several occasions on speaker phone because we was trying make sure this is what we wanted to do. Now there was over 30 people in my group that order and yes it was only $5 but I felt like he was trying to get over. There was no ones ticket that was under $40 because of drinks and food or drinks alone. Last the food was excellent but cold the waiter did not come to our table after serving to ask was everything good did you want anything else, nothing, just here is your check let me get your money. She lost out on tips because of this. The manager did not come to ask was the party ok or nothing only to say “move”. My president and Vice President of my class was there was considering having a function there but after the manager changed things and did seem concerned or just customer service friendly by walking around and just asking how is things? That’s has been scratched. This how black own businesses mess up, you never know who is watching and considering and you give a brush off or I don’t care vibe! I will tell people the food and music is awesome but leave it at that!

Came here last night with friends, I actually did not know where we were going, it was a friend of a friend birthday so we went out to celebrate, I had on sneakers, I dressed down coming out because I did not think we were going to place that had a dress code because we normally dont when I hangout with these friends, so I got to the line and a light skinned chipped tooth and a darker skin short door man stopped me and they said we cant let you in, but they let the guy we were with in with a hoodie on because the doorman knew him. So my friends took me back to my car and I let them know that Ill change and come back, so I did, I came back at 1:18 am I just wanted to celebrate with friends but now the door man said sorry I pre-judged you and I didnt think you would have 20 dollars to pay, the thing is my friends only paid 10, the chipped tooth doorman said he thought I wouldnt come back, we spoke of how my sister own a restaurant right down the street and he said he wasnt familiar with it, because he not from the area and I let him know I never heard of good tymes because Im not from the area either, the fact that he pre- judged me and tried to charge me more was crazy, I guess if I looked a certain way I could have gotten in far ass what a black community feel is cute these days, but after my friends left they told me they only paid 10 to get in. I come from a good hard working family, my siblings are doctors, business owners, and I work in local government, the door man said to me I didnt think you would have 20 to get in, wow that was crazy, but I will never come back, smh you shouldnt pre- judge people like we dont have enough of that. Also who in their right mind as a female is paying 20 dollars to get a place that your going to be leaving at 2am anyway. This was horrible and Im not mad I didnt get in just pissed on what he said the reason was and admitting to pre judgment.
