Disappointing, especially since Ive had good experiences the couple of times Id been here before. It had been over a year and we looked forward to going back. We called for reservations and were put on hold...for over 11 minutes! Meanwhile, my husband was driving toward the winery, and we arrived before the phone was ever answered again! Saras response was only Im alone and doing the best I can! Of course, but why not get back to a phone call within 2 - 3 minutes? And why only one person staffing? She seemed not concerned at all that a caller would be on hold that long. I do hope the level of professionalism will improve. Were not looking forward to returning, and wish we were.
This winery and staff has left a lasting impression on me! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, a wonderful wine list with out of this world taste, and a wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I will definitely come back here again for years to come.
Wonderful place! Excellent wine and food! The staff were friendly and the outdoor patio seating was beautiful. They followed all social distancing procedures and they were very organized and efficient. Our server, Diamond, was great! She was attentive, friendly and did an excellent job serving us! Highly recommend.
Chocolate Bomb...is the bomb. Greek burger and antipasto platter great. Going back soon. Martha was so patient with us and disabled mother-in-law... oh, the wines were fantastic too!
The food is usually pretty good, and the atmosphere is nice, but the service has consistently been lacking, in our personal experience. Weve had a hate/tolerate relationship with this restaurant for many years. We come, have a bad service experience, avoid it for several years, then decide to give it another shot. Rinse, repeat. Tonight we sat for a while without water, even longer without our drink order being taken. The food was good, it took a long time to get the checks taken care of, and an employee inside the restaurant flipped out on our friend for not wearing a mask, when our friend cant wear one for medical reasons. The employee was rude, unreasonable, and gave no opportunity for our friend to explain. The funny thing is, that the employee doing this caused our friend to be in the building for even longer without a mask than if she had just passed through, even with a quick exchange. I totally understand businesses wanting to have people follow the rules, but this was extreme, and in violation of respecting people who cant wear masks. That on top of the dinner service issues, and it was not a great experience for us.
Great service, great food Try the Sangria slushy! You wont me disappointed.
Beautiful place! Service is excellent, Flatbread were delicious!
Excellent experience! Wonderful ambiance with the string lights and fountain on the patio in the evening. The food was mostly fantastic (I was not a huge fan of the Greek burger however, it wasnt terrible but it also wasnt great. The bun was far too dense and I had mixed feelings on the flavor profile). Loved the flatbread pizzas and the Meze plate we ordered (the white bean dip on the Meze platter is hands down the best bean dip Ive ever eaten and the toasted crostini and naan were incredible as well). Cocktails were also on point, they obviously have a fantastic bartender. I will definitely be back again, it was a perfect date night location.
Great wines, great food, and great people at Tagaris. We took a group of friends there for a birthday dinner and ordered a ton of appetizers for dinner. All 8 of us shared the meal and bottles of wine. It was like being in Spain!
Excellent experience here. We came in on whim and it was a very busy night. The staff was extremely friendly and the food and wines were completely on point! Great service, great wines, great food. Highly recommend.
The service and ambiance was exceptional, but the food was awful. The homemade Cesar salad was watery and the pulled chicken was so chewy I actually couldn’t eat it. Our server was super cool about it and brought me a new dish. Overall the food was a 3 but service a 10.
Excellent service. Delicious meals. Take the time to relax in the courtyard and sample a flight. You wont be disappointed.
Mero COMPLETELY knows what hes talking about. If you want to learn about wines, come here. The winery as a whole, is very well kept, and you will get the best service youve ever seen. Keep up the good work!!!
Food and wine are good, the outside seating is the best in this area with plenty of shade to offer during hot evenings. Best overall venue for the wineries in this area.
I was in town for business (I work for a neighboring winery in another part of the state) and wanted to stop in for a quick tasting. The gentleman at the bar greeted me after about 3 minutes of me entering and told me tastings are done at the bar.He explained how the tastings worked and I showed him my business card and told him I was in the industry. I asked for the reserve tasting flight. He poured me the first taste (but offered me no information about the wine and/or winery) and after I finished it, I had to wait 7 minutes before he came to me again. I noticed several employees walk by, none greeted me and/or noticed my empty glass. I know I should’ve mentioned I was in a hurry when I arrived, but I was surprised by the lack of customer service. When the bartender came back, he asked me how the first one was. I said it was good and told him “I’m sorry, but I’m kinda in a hurry.” He then asked me if I just wanted to “hurry up and chug the rest of them.”I was appalled that he asked me this. No, I do not want to just “chug” your wine. I wanted to taste it and note where I should recommend people visit when they come here.I told him I was offended and he told me he had bachelorette party groups in earlier that chugged. Um, ok. I’m curious as to why he’d ask me that though, as I was alone and made it clear I was industry (and certified sommelier).Long story short, I ended up leaving after the first taste. I get that you are a restaurant AND a tasting room, but you guys need to work on customer service, especially with industry folks. When we visit other wineries, we’re doing research, not getting drunk. If I had had a good experience, I would’ve recommended people visit you guys often! But the lack thereof will keep me from returning.Welcoming environments are crucial for the wine industry. Hopefully you guys learn from this.
Wine is good but food has average taste and is incredibly overpriced. If you order a flatbread pizza they ask what kind of salad you want, making it sound like its included, but really it’s an additional $12 half head of lettuce.
Great food, pricey but worth it for nice occasion and well worth it based on the taste. Staff was both polite and knowledgeable. Had a great date night.
Enjoyed our experience immensely. The ambiance was definitely swanky which is not our preference. However, the service, food and wine were excellent which more than compensated for the ambiance.
Awesome
Although I know the chef Ive never had the opportunity to have Joshs food. The restaurant will choose when they decide to close based on buisness. Sure it may say 10pm on the website, or it even may say 9pm on the door, heck you may pull up like I did at 8pm with all the lights on open sign says open and still be told they closed early because of a slow day. Dont feel like wasting more time just to see if they keep the doors open as advertised.
The menu recipes are unique, tasty, and the atmosphere is very nice. I like the patio, although it could certainly benefit from misters which most restaurant patios in desert areas have.It is pricey, but apparently about average for this area. I went on a night when they had live music on the patio, and it definitely added to the enjoyment of our evening. The service was top notch, very attentive, even as busy as they were. Will definitely return, but probably only when they have live music.
Great time, food and wine. Loved it. We will be back.
Great wait staff, great food, and good wine. They were very busy the night we went and we still had great service and our food was delicious. Prices are spendy but well worth it. A must visit!
We were there 1hr prior to the posted closing time and were told that they had closed and were not served
The is place is great for events and the food is amazing. you can rent out a room and there is no charge they only charge for the food and drinks. The ambiance is amazing as well. I love it when they have live music! Check out Tagaris! you wont be disappointed.
Mero is awesome!!!Tagaris Winery definitely was a great experience. My visit here exceeded expectations!!! I cannot wait to come back! Yay for Mero for being so passionate about this winery!
The food is AMAZING! I had the grilled tenderloin and it was the best stake of my life. The atmosphere was relaxed yet intimate. They had a live band playing while we sat outside. It was a very fun night out. It was a great dining experience and the wine is delicious. I loved it!!!
There food was great! Or server Brian was also outstanding.
Awesome people,wine and food....
I went there for my birthday. The service was excellent. We ordered the lamb and it was especially good.
Amazing! Food, service, venue all above expectations and more
Awesome Food and drinks. Great hospitality and friendly service.
My girlfriend and I had paninis....she had the chicken and prosciutto and me the Cuban. We had the garlic fries which were delicious!
We made reservations months in advance for a party of 20. We got a nice private room. Then...waited an hour just to get our drinks, then when we went to check on our drinks and food there were 5 waiters sitting by the bar staring at us blankly, not concerned at all. We will not be returning next year! Our food was good and our server Joey tried. The only thing they comped was a few drinks. Kelly, the assistant manager was down right combative when addressing the group.
Marvelous...great service and tasty unique flavors made a great dining experience. Highly recommend.
If you go and you must; ask for Casey to be your waiter. One of the best lunch experiences today. Thanks Darlene Varley and Michele Lawrence for a great Back to School luncheon!
When you walk up to the front of the building it reminded me of a castle. When you walk across the small bridge and through the large wooden doors you are greeted by a warm interior that makes you want to grab a favorite book and stay for awhile. The food was excellent! Me and my wife split the flat bread with dates and the homemade garden pasta with chicken. Both were amazing and portions were large enough that even with splitting the meal we left satisfied and full. The wine selection was amazing, as you would expect from a winery, and they let my wife sample a variety until she found one that she liked. I had a local beer that was amazing despite the limited selection which was expected as this was a winery.Although this is not somewhere you would bring your kids it is a great place to have a date or small gathering with close friends. Truly one of the gems of the Tri-Cities.
Delicious food. Excellent service. I ordered a red sangria and it was fantastic.
Best dining atmosphere in the TC. The outdoor patio cannot be beat. Especially when they have live music.Food is fantastic. Service always prompt and friendly.Location is a bit strange, but dont let that deter you.
Excellent service and great food and wine. We ate lunch before having a tasting. Our server for the tasting was very knowledgeable of the wines and made great suggestions after we described what we like. We will definitely return next time we come and visit Washington.
Good, interesting food, at least for.lunch. I had the burger -- excellent. The company wines are outrageously expensive ($15-$40) by the glass, but the house red and white were just fine at $7. Outdoor fountain and landscaping worth the $60 lunch for two.
Lovely atmosphere, relaxing, wine was awesome!
Excellent wine with creative inland northwest influenced cuisine. Atmosphere is elegant, rustic Mediterranean decor with a water feature catching your eye through the window. Helpful sraff guided our experience.
Casey was our server and he is by far the greatest server I have ever had. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to try anything new!!
Nice winery, needs to be on your list of places to visit, wine was good they have many choices, dont forget the friendly and very helpful staff, love to visit here at least once a year and stock up for the holidays
Beautiful tavern restaurant. The merlot and cab reserves were very good
Best place Ive dined at in many years. Service is excellant. Atmosphere is dress-up casual. Been there many times and Ive never been disappointed.
Exquisite food and good customer service. Ill definitely come back. Highly recommended...
Great ambiance, fantastic wines and delightful (if small) menu.
Nice place, good food, ok service.
Best intimate group dining in Tri cities THANKS
Amazing wines. We r wine club members
Relaxing and beautiful surroundings. Delicious food and friendly staff.
Good food and great staff
Delicious food, amazing atmosphere, great service!! Cant wait to go back
Great service, beautiful surroundings. Awesome happy hour
Just celebrated my wifes 40th birthday party. We reserved the Arete room at Tagaris Winery (no room fee), which was super private and cozy and also featured an outdoor fireside area. What a great night. Delicious food, gourmet wine and great friends. Elin and Jamie went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Thanks!
Love this spot. Great food, wine and wonderful patio
Way too much background noise for conversation, especially with colleagues. Food and wine solid, if slightly overpriced, service good.
* Frequently rude (occasionally *extremely* so) service* Always very slow* Always way overpriced* Wine ranges just OK to good (Im told by friends who know)* Ambiance mixed (great water feature girded by a huge, view-blocking concrete wall)I had a longer review written, but honestly, after reading it over, I didn’t have the heart to post it. I have little good to say about Tagaris Winery after repeated experiences ranging from mediocre to egregious, and if you ask any group of local wine drinkers their opinion, I’d be willing to bet you’ll find at least two who agree with this assessment.Until the management culture changes at Tagaris, go to Bookwalter or B-G for a far better experience (if more limited menus).
Great atmosphere. Amazing wine. Great people.
Great service, staff fantastic and tapas equally enjoyable
Overall, an overpriced place not worth the money. The wine isnt anything good, the prices are over inflated & the service is average. Buy a couple bottles at the store, & grill up a couple good steaks for considerably cheaper.
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, and delicious food. Be prepared to spend a bit of $$ but worth it for the experience!
Hours not as advertised, kept me waiting 20 min before telling me I could not be seated as they were closing — was 1:30pm, 90 min before advertised close.
Good services, great food, a little expensive but is worth it. Good place to go with friends to chat and eat.
So usually when Im in town.. I will treat my family and friends.. and enjoy some live music.. I just currently visited on a Sunday.. and it supposively under staffed.. on a Memorial weekend.. The girl Katie who was in charged obviously.. doesnt get how to manage the restaurant alone.. the bar was empty.. the restaurant was empty... and outside had 5 tables.. So she couldnt pour us a glass of wine or water while we waited, at the bar for a table outside?? A glass of wine would of kept us waiting. As we would of had a couple.. but we were told we had to wait 20 mins.. lol.. A party of 4 along with us left... concidering.. only the people outside were getting any service.. )
Not a premium experience - In summary: Meh. Thats actully being too nice. Just go to Barnard Griffin or J. Bookwalter. Both are much better experiences. We tried Tagaris today (5/23/15) and found the wine to be just ok (and overpriced, at $15-$21/glass), the food to be underwhelming, and the ambience just kind of cheap. Even the hand-soap in the bathrooms was off-putting - it is slimy and would NOT come off! Frick! The service was cheery and great - no complaints there - but the wine glasses are cheap and dirty, ruining the wine experience, the food was just ok and lacked creativity or even basic givens (my pork slider buns were stone cold), and their backyard patio felt like a really fancy prison courtyard (a huge water feature does not fix the concrete walls you sit within!). Go there, only if youve been everywhere else, first. I hate giving bad reviews, but I wish I could get my $70 back.
Utterly abysmal service for the price point.I very much understand the value of a high-service, high-quality dining in order to have a great experience on a rare, special evening with good friends. Our company paid for a private dining party last night. The presence of good people made it an amazing and lovely night, but I couldnt help but be supremely disappointed at how horrible the service was and how so-so the food and presentation was (it was fine, but certainly not great by any means).Tagaris seems to know they have little to no competition or comparison in premium dining regionally—and as a result, the quality that comes from attention to detail and people who care enough about creating a fantastic experience is miles from hitting the target. All evening, as the staff depended on guests to direct servers to who needed more water or who ordered what drink or to point out that the food they just said was gluten free had bread served on it, I just kept saying in my head: Dont these people care? and it made me sad for the Tri-Cities and disappointed that the couple of incredible fine dining experiences I feel so privileged to have been able to have elsewhere are obviously miles from being a possibility here.Whats more, despite our office manager meeting and reviewing the menu in detail to ensure everyone could eat whatever was prepared, several of us in our party who have celiac disease (gluten intolerance) have since suffered with the results of gluten exposure that could only have come from inattentiveness in the preparation of that meal.
Lovely place music much too loud for lunch conversation
Wonderful facility and great wines
Great food, great staff.
Awesome selection and great advise
Great service, awesome atmosphere, good wine but the food was undercooked, scallops were raw and salad was soggy very disappointing
Service was so slow to the point that I felt I was being ignored. I ended up walking out without ordering anything.
Great food and service
Service is usually average, not great, but its well worth coming here if you have taste.
Excellent wine and atmosphere
Poor service, very expensive, beer not that good And the wine worse.
Really good food as good as the Wine
Excellent!
Best spot in town
Amazing place!!!!
Great atmosphere!
Great ambiance!
Wonderful patio, great wine
