The trail was very busy, like usual. Despite CDC reccomendations, most people using the trail were not masked up. Please be aware of this and do your part. The only way we can beat this is by working on this together.

The trailhead for Badger Mountain helps very much for a good place to park and make a loop hike using the Canyon, Skyline, and Sagebrush Trails. On weekend afternoons the large parking lot overflows because of increased popularity. Early morning or a weekday is better for that. In any case, the trails are worth it. Endless views and loads of fresh air reward the hiker.

This place can get super busy... hence the large parking area. Going early or late for a sunset is great. The gnats can be pretty oppressive in the warmer months. Bring water and bug spray and plenty of sunscreen.

Trail is nice they added stone steps at the start of the trail. Only downside is that no one on the trail wears face masks.

Easy to moderate hike with well maintained paths. Great view of the Tri-cities from the top. It can be overcrowded and pretty dusty as its a very popular spot here. Recommended in the morning in the summer for a great sunrise view.

Beautiful. Just wish I had brought my phone/camera. Shorter hike than Im used to but it was refreshing just to get out & finally see people with their kids hiking & biking without these godforsaken masks we are starting to become accustomed to seeing. Much smaller than I expected. Being from Vermont, Northern California & Arizona Im used to elevation above the approximate 1700-1800 feet of Badger Mountain. Example Mt Lemmon in Tucson is almost 10,000. But well worth the short drive from Pasco. My apologies to the farmer who I took the peach from. I owe you! Dont worry, Ill clean it first.

Badger Mtn Trail is great. Variety of trails allow you to have a great cardio workout, a lengthy endurance workout, or a family fun hike with the kids. Also fun for bicyclists and even see the occasional horse. Well maintained and definitely a family friendly experience. Enjoy.

Good place to jog and the scenery at the top is pretty at night. You can see all the lights of the Tri-City area. However, the scenery on your way up is bland at best. This hike is for the destination, not the journey.

Trailhead is easy to find, plenty of free parking, has a city park at the base of the main trailhead on the northeast side of the mountain, which is great for starting or finishing a hike with kids. Offers a variety of trails on the mountain for easy to more moderate hikes. Most trails are bike/horse/people friendly, but the most popular and moderate route is people only. Views are stunning from the top. This is an amazing gem to have conveniently located in town!!

Jo
Review №75

Awesome! Nice little park at the start of the trail with a restroom and a little play area for the kids. Nicely maintained grass and landscaping all around. The trail itself is very well maintained by the friends of badger and by respectful hikers. Everyone I met on the trail was very friendly, both dog and human. There are two places along the way where you can sit down and take a break. The first few times you walk to the top its a little tough, but keep pushin, the view from the summit makes it all worthwhile!

I dont quite know why hiking in the snow is something I like to do, but this past few days I have been going up the snowy main trail at Badger as a little bit of an additional physical challenge for this very snowy winter here in the TriCities. The one big question I have is if people know not to let their dogs poop on the trail during the summer months, why would they let them poop on the trail in the winter, where it stays preserved for WEEKS!!! Please pet owners, a little more courtesy by possibly removing it from the trail?
