Wow very neat place to learn about the history in the tri-cities. The Manhatten project room is something to see. Will definitely visit again. The gift shop has some cool items as well

Nice little museum that shares the history of area.

We visited the Reach Museum today and had an amazing time. The staff was courteous and helpful, and gave us a brief introduction to their museum and exhibits, as well as a back story to the change in use of the Columbia River over the last 100+ years. Excellent place for Children as well. I have 3 children between the ages of 4 and 10 and all of them found something that really interested them. Will return!

Fantastic resource to the Tri-Cities! You will find weekend activities, a gift shop, guest presentations and a relevant museum. The museum is small but packed full with a pluthera of information on Hanford and its WWII connection, geological history and the Columbia Basins natural resources. Plan to spend at least 2 hours. Buy a family pass and support the museum then visits hundreds of other reciprocating museums FREE.

Interesting place to learn more about how energy works and they have 2 gallery exhibits.

Lots of cool stuff, and a very knowledgeable staff make this place definitely worth a visit. Plan on spending at least an hour or two there.

Little explorers is a fun interactive educational time for the kids. The museum is over very interesting and lots of information on the Hanford reach.

A one-time visit can quench your interest of returning for another few decades to this place.Decent gallery and fun things to learn about this areas landscape and Hanford site. I enjoyed the small exhibits.Gave 3 stars due to rudeness of worker during admission payment, who thought it was professional to loudly take out her frustration on the group I was with because we were crowding the entrance when in reality we were waiting in line to pay. Like, HELLO! Did you want us to just march right by without paying? But whatevs, not going again.

Im sure the museum is nice place except if you live by it and they play loud music late at night when you have to sleep early and get up for work early because theyre having high school graduation parties I know its only once a year but it still disturbs people sleep that have lives. Actually its more than that cuz they do social parties. The place is not very well insulated against their sound that they use.

I was enthralled and astounded by the efforts all the residents of this area as well as the immigrants in the efforts to develop the Manhattan project and thereby end the 2nd World War. This a museum brought a depth of the actuality and reality to the effort in a way that I had not experienced before. It changed my view of what is possible in this world.

Went to a free astronomy night with the family and it was awesome. The museum is beautiful and informative. And the whole night was a blast.

Family friendly. Handicapped parking. Handicapped accessible. Tours are fantastic. Truly a one of a kind. Highly recommended. Youll never regret it. Unless you dont see it. Right on entrace to Columbia Park might as well bring the ice chests and make it a day. Brig some friends. Enjoy. Have a great day.

Nice museum... Wish They would do more in Depth research in the hidden lore,truth and reality of Hanford past, present and future. Definitely need more enthusiastic staff the lady or receptionist there was not very personable.

Expected to see more. Exhibits need to be livened up & grab your attention. If you have been to bigger museums or even the Oregon trail interpretive museum in Baker Oregon then this is not very exciting.

Fantastic explanation of the Bretz Foods -- as many as 90 different ice age glacial floods from Lake Missoula that swept across Central Washington 26,000-14,000 years ago.Also interesting are the displays of the irrigation projects that brought Columbia River to previously arid ground after construction of Grand Coulee Dam.aAnd finally the wounderful exhibits on the Manhattan Project and the Hanford Nuclear Reactors that produced the Plutonium for the US atomic weapons and early research on atomic power generation.I spent 5 hours there!But also good for a 1/2 hour walk-though with children -- about age 6+.

Wedding was beautiful here, had a chair situation and we had to move our chairs from the theater to the dining area. But other thank that it was sweet!

Very informative, almost like 2 museums. One side related to historical and geographic evolution The other focuses on col war efforts and Handford site. For a small museum I thought it was great. Will bring visitors when they visit.

I was trying out new drone. Was interesting building. Two men from silver trailer told me I couldnt tape building with out permission.? Saw was a public museum so went in side and asked questions. The two ladys seemed bothered by? I Was taping inside of building at same time.The realized then told me to leave .because

I brought my 8yo and 2 4yo kids here. It was great! Make sure to ask for the scavenger hunt paper. I loved that they had a WW2/Cold War exhibit. Also, THANK YOU for having a section high lighting Lineman!

Great museum with a lot of info about the area and Hanford/ Manhattan Project. Lots of fun events and activities for the kiddos. The new building is gorgeous. Definitely worth the visit.

Love this center! My six year old did as well! So much to look at and so many things for kids to do while adults look around. The staff is super sweet and polite. The center is very quiet and clean. And I love the hands on exhibits.

We had a great time. The kids loved it. We went on a Saturday and it wasnt busy at all so we had the whole place to are self.

The museum is filled with many fun and exuberayting things to do. If I had the chance to go again I totally would and if you’re not into museums and such, you could go on an amazing walk along the Columbia River. In the museum there are a couple of main exhibits in the museum, each on more fun than the last. The only thing I wish would be that the place gets larger because it only takes about half an hour to get through the place, but overall it’s a good place to spend time.

It was wonderful didnt have enough time to go through it need more than an hour but has some great information!!! Check this place out we went on a free day but I think its worth the price if you go to get info on the area! Of you like history check it out its local history so that makes it even better!!!

I want to leave a much more positive review. I loved its predecessors-- the Hanford Science Center (at the Richland Federal Building) and the CHREST museum. The reason why I am rating fairly low is that the admission rates are out of reach for me and many other families of modest to meager means. Dont get me wrong-- from what little I could see, the Reach museum brings more depth and breadth to the two aforementioned museums it sprang from. But since I couldnt afford admission, I couldnt confirm my suspicions.

Tri-Cities lacks museums and galleries, so to have something like the REACH for our area, is a treat. Its SO nicely done too! A small museum, its a neat experience for the kids, with a large aquarium when you enter. Private events like weddings can be done here too (we went to one), and the grounds/facility are lovely. Highly recommend a visit!

My children, ages 6 and 8, love the STEM and STEAM events on Saturdays at the REACH. They also love exploring Gallery I every time we are at the REACH. The educational STEM events are hands on, creative, and promote further exploration of the world around you. These events are not just for young children, they are for the spirit of wonder in all of us, young and old.

This is a very interesting stop to get a glimpse into the Manhattan Project. We were fortunate enough to meet one of the senior site personnel who provided first hand information to the site. The video is very informative. The center is a good compliment to the Hanford visitor center. This is the location to arrange tours of the B reactor.

Small museum with some limited outdoor displays. They try to make it appropriate for all ages. The most fascinating part of the experience was the display of radioactive substances and items, with a Geiger counter to check what was most radioactive. Worth a stop to learn the history of the area and maybe pick up a couple of souvenirs in the gift shop.

Very nice museum. Staff are friendly and helpful. I took my one year old and she had just as much fun as me. I like how they offer exhibits for children to interact with. We will definitely be going back.

Loved the interactive displays. We were lucky to be there for a 92 year old guest speaker who works to preserve birds if prey. She brought 2 owls with her to interact with.

Would like to see more interaction for kids. Its really boring for my 10 year old.

Excellent museum! Not super great for kids as there is A LOT of reading. But there were some fun things to do outside. Overall, my little family enjoyed it and I learned a lot.

Great visit. We came from Seattle to site see and visit the Columbia River. This was a nice surprise. Lots of history about the basin and interactive displays. For under $10 its definitely a go and its right across from Columbia park. Lots of fun!

Loved this place and so did my niece and nephew

The most disappointing museum I have ever visited. The only thing that I found interesting was a video on Colonel Paul Tibbetts and the sound was broken up and distorted. A big disappointment.

Love the dress up and make believe room. This is a very interactive place to take the kiddos. Wish it was a bit more accessible price wise but I will bring them back again for sure.
