First time putting my feet in the truckee river. 3 ducks swimming around me as I walked in the water. The park was nice but trash litter was everywhere. The homeless people had campsites set up with charcoal grills smoking, their tents, grocery carts and belongings littering the area as they mingled with college students, families in bathing suits and the occasional park goer. Overall, not a bad experience

Very nice it runs the whole length of the river flowing from downtown Reno to the West? There are tennis courts and a band stand and artwork insulations on the park by downtown. There are kids playgrounds and picnic tables and BBQs on the other part theres also a memorial Police Memorial Garden and I cant remember what else. Big bark

Such a beautiful spot to bring your family! You can have a Punic under the shade and watch the beautiful water! I was so amazed to see all these little spots that you can hang out! The scenery you can not even believe. You have nature and city! My hubby and kids loved putting there feet in the water. There is parking meters which is kind of a bummer but so worth it! If you want to cool down from the heat this would be the place to go. You can also walk to yummy restaurants and everything I enjoyed it so much!

Pleasant surprise to find this river walk and park in Reno. Nice and clean open space to stroll around or just relax along the riverside. I saw people kayak in the river. The water runs pretty fast so be careful even if you are just sitting on the rock. There maybe performances sometimes as I saw a small stage on site. There are also shops and restaurants along the river. Definitely recommend if you like water, have dogs, need a place to relax after all the gambling, or all of the above

If you are a couple of miles away from this place, it makes a great place to interval a return from a jog, or a day on foot. The ambient is open, a pedestrian bridge to walk over the river, and many paths to choose from at this point on a venture through Reno. I call this the true heart of Reno City.

Easy access to a lot of nice fishing pools. Would be a great place to fish if it wasn’t so pressured by weekend warriors. Decent amount of homeless hang out here. It doesn’t bother me because I carry and they’re normally just chilling or take a nap. I’ve never had any issues and don’t think I ever will but it’s something to keep in mind.
