Lots of nice grassy areas. Walking path that follows the river that is usually pretty clean. Great place to start floating the Truckee.
This park is beautiful. It spreads wide and has multiple spots for access to the river, grassy areas for picnics or games, a nice walking path. On the western side behind the buildings is the biggest grass area. It’s peaceful even when crowded, a good spot to put in if you’re wanting to float the river too. Gets crowded in the warmer months but that’s fun to me!
I love this place, it has a picnic area along with bbq pitts, you can hike along the paths, beautiful houses to look at if you walk a little deeper. Not a dull moment in my happy place here.
Much more developed than I remember but it has been probably 5 years
If youve never been toMayberry Park, you are missing some picturesque, tranquil scenes. From the quite hiking trails, the amazing homes, the Truckee River, and awesome waterfall. It has ample picnic spaces, grilles, and Gods Nature all for free and just a short drive from Reno/Sparks. Give your mind, body, soul, and eyes a well worth vacation. I already long to go back.
Great place. Bathrooms are limited...very limited. Park is wonderful. Limited parking.
Very nice place to walk and get some sun and fresh air!
The portables, need to be cleaned more often. And the park was too hot ( weather)
Nice little park with good shade by the river...
If you go into the entrance and instead of parking in all those spots go down the dirt path a little well almost all the way and theres two trees with a rock deep in it to the left. That use to be my spot, it hides ur whole car. If you keep going down, theres hundreds of apples, blackberrys and grapes going out towars the street.
This is my special place to gather my thoughts and find peace while I am in Reno absolutely beautiful, calm and relaxing you have to stop by the citi park workers can be annoying they dont have anything better to do then try and be bossy when they show up which can be aggravating. They have bbq areas and dirt areas which look to be where you park to bbq but they will have a fit even tho there are no signs posted restricting access to the bbq dirt parking areas. Dogs mist be leashed, fishing and swimming are awesome, this is where most start out when floating the truckee river always a must do its awesome, make sure to grab heavy duty rafts or it will pop from trees rocks and rebar in the river. I always get the double seater with the cooler from big 5 then stop at big o tires at the top of the hill to air it up strap it to the roof and go park one car at mayberry the other downtown get a group and some beer and bam a great day is to be had! There is a trail to run leading over old tree covered bridges art work along the way there are no words just go I promise you will love it!
Great spot for picnics or quick fishing. Love the fact that you literally walk right into the river.
Its size makes it easy to social distance, plus great access to the river. I wish it had a bathroom, I caught someone pooping in the bushes, awkward yes but bathrooms would fix that. If there are bathrooms theyre not easy to find..
Not too fast moving. Nice and cold water. Picnic benches grass and tree! Earthy!
Great park, the Truckee rolls right down its spine. Good fishing, rafting and lots of sun coverage.
Great park. Nice get away from down town. Love all the kavender
Great place to bring your family or a dog! It can get a little crowded on evenings and weekends, but as long as you explore a little ways along the river you can usually find an empty spot.
Nice spots on the river to have a picnic lunch - also plenty of grass and trees and picnic tables. Very pet and kid-friendly
Awesome little Park hidden out of the way. love how its up against the side of the Mesa.
Outstanding park along the Truckee River. There is a hiking trail, BBQ grills and picnic tables. You can tube and dogs are allowed on leash. There is enough space to social distance and fish with you family.
Ive gone here since I was a kid Its Probably one of the Most taking care of parks But still left to to natural Plants and wildlife for Reno Nevada I wish a lot of other Parks would take the same initiative to preserve natural plants we dont need artificial or Transplanted plants and we definitely dont need invasive species like squirrels seem to have become
I was born and raised in Reno and I had never been to this part of the river. I loved it.
Love this place...Has a wonderful natural park feel and with the river is just relaxing and very enjoyable
Great park, very serene. No overnight parking, or trash dumping. There are also port-o-pots and plenty of grass to play on. Also a great place to park if you plan on hiking Hunter Creek.
If you are looking for quick and gentle hike, this is the place. During winter time you may see dog poo every where!!
Clean and right along the river. Perfect for hanging out in a quiet spot on a beautiful day.
Its far enough up river to not see the homeless drug-addled zombies. Barely far enough. Theyll get there too eventually
Beautiful park, great place to launch rafts on the river!
Great trails at this park that lead to views of the city.
Nice park for a relaxing evening
Beautiful manicured park right on the Truckee river
Love this area, all up and down the Truckee river is great, open, clean. Lots of space for parking, bbqs, picnics.
Great place to throw a tube in the water & float to downtown Reno
Great place for a picnic and a mellow hike or just hanging by the river.
Great hiking and biking trails!
Nice place to walk the dogs
Easy to get to but the feel is miles from the city. The river is calm here so sitting on the bank with your feet in the water eating a sandwich makes this a perfect lunch spot. Never crowded during the week.
I went for a walk with my dog. Since this isnt a dog park I was surprised at how many people let their dog run free. I dont feel comfortable with that so only gave it 4 stars
Love walking along the river! Paths dont always connect easily so I used the Pokemon Go app to track the pathways.
Had a great day with my dog and family
Most relaxed yet enjoyable time you can have! Float the Truckee!
Great place to spend with the family!
It was nice quite we had lunch there.nice place to go
A great spot for fishing.
Great place to barbeque right next to the river.
Great walking path and bird action. Awesome river views. Picnic areas.
Beautiful park.
Such a beautiful setting a Long the Truckee RiverWe make a point of stopping.
Great fishing, cool spots to day camp or just chill.
The water is perfect to go rafting, paddling, canoeing, etc in. Especially on a super hot day! The park is really nice and clean and has a par course as well. Very nice to go on walks during the day.
Mayberry Park is one of my favorite places and all of Reno! Its so peaceful..
Relaxing and not very crowded.
My dogs love this place
So nice to see a park in a downtown area. Pretty. Refreshing. Makes the warmer temperatures so much more bearable.
Beautiful place.
Beautiful
Beautiful and quiet. Bbq grills and picnic benches. One of my best afternoons in Reno.
Went to the Truckee River earth day. This park is so beautiful, shocked I havent been here before. Now Im planning a day at the park for a nice picnic with my kids. Its so beautiful
Scenic park by the river. Has some BBQ sets for public use. Nice for running
I go to this place for hike each week
Great place to walk the dog and when the water is low let the dog play in the river. Nice spot to have a picnic with picnic tables as well.
Super cool place to go
Nice place very well maintained. Nice walking path. Beautiful river. The only problem we had was people not having their dogs on leashes. We had our dogs with us on leashes. There are signs posted everywhere Pets must be on a leash! People dont realize other dogs like mine are not so friendly towards other dogs running up on them.
Beautiful spot for a nice walk.
Nice paved walk along truckee river with dirt trails leading up in the hills for miles overlooking Reno.
Nice place for a walk
Sooo fun. Started tubing from Mayberry all the way down to Arlington. Took like 2 hours. It was glorious.
Nice place to ride a bike to walk its paths.
A hidden gem in Reno.
Tubing the Truckee is amazing. Bring a nice tube though. $50+
Pretty Fall colors.
You already know why
Great place to float the river, hike or just sit back relax and enjoy the river
Nice place to walk along the River.
Great fishing and rafting kinda city getaway. Love this park and visit it often when in Reno. Kids love it and there are safeish swimming holes.
Lovely park, but not enough parking. Lots of great spots to put your feet in the water or to get in and float down the river. Very popular site. Lots of greenery and a pretty wild garden on the east side of the park. Great place to bring the family.
Nice park, lots of parking, dog friendly. I hiked from there to Hole in the Wall with my 4-legged hiking buds. The Tom Cooke trail goes north along the Truckee River, across a cool footbridge, then up into the hills. Along the river its an asphalt path; after crossing the river its dirt. Theres a sign to stay on the trail at that point but the trail is diffuse and ill-defined. Go uphill through a shallow pass until you get to a junction. Then its an unmistakable dirt road. I do hope someone marks the trail and puts in a sign or two.
This is one of the funnest parks in Reno. Right along the Truckee river, and lots of shade for hot summer days. Barbeque pits and lots of stuff for children and dogs. Ive been coming here for 30 years, my only complaint - sometimes it gets crowded!
A nice place for a picnic or a walk along the river. Many people were playing in the water.
Great place to take family for a picnic and a swim in the historic truckee river.
With a large, open grassy area perfect for picnics, this park is located on the Truckee River Parkway. It has wonderful asphalt paths perfect for bicycles. Picnic tables are located just off the trail next to the river. Beautiful views and an idyllic setting.
We like hiking in new places. Lots of switchbacks to get to the top & multiple trails to take.
Great day to be outside, fishing the Truckee river
Nice trails and a fun easy start point for a rafting trip.
Alot less than idlewild park.More serene.
It was hot that day but the water was really nice good place to get in and go floating down the river
Very peaceful and CLEAN. Beautiful scenery and it if childhood memories returned. :)
Great spot. Lots a space to relax by the river or walk your dog.
Beat trail to bike or run.
Amazing view. River access. All the things
Nice walk along the Truckee
Nice little Park right by the river and many hikes close by not much shade. so you better not go there when its over a hundred degrees
Not much to do other than picnic or relax. Its a common spot to leave to river raft. If you decide to river raft it will eventually take you downtown. Make sure the water levels are high, we chose to go at the end of summer and it was not a fun experience. It took forever and we ended up having to get out and walk some parts.
Beautiful Truckee River Walk
Another excellent place to walk & enjoy the countryside
Great place to fish and hang out by the river.
