Easily the crown jewel of Reno parks. Great facilities for sports, picnics, and the loop around the hill is not to be missed. Perfect views of the entire valley! ️
This park is great! There are beautiful shade trees with lots of green grass and well kept landscapes. There is also a good walking trail with breathtaking scenic views.
Beautiful sunset views after the short hike up the hill. The park is located in a pleasant residential neighbourhood and is only 3 minutes drive to an In-n-out!There is also a childrens play area.
Nice park. Ballfield, field, play ground, and nice shade area full of shade to picnic. Biggest perk is the mountain hill to hike around. The views of Reno are very good from this location
Great entry level hiking area with many vistas and a windbreak made of stone at the to of the hill. A definite must do for any hiker of any level. Also as far as hiking trails go, this place is well kept with plenty of rest stops along the way. Seems like one of the main trails goes to Hidden Valley as well. Just be careful in the hotter months since there are snakes in the area.
Great views and decent hike path. Slight smell during peak summer days on the hill due to dogs, but great for a small hike after work
Quick hiking trail surrounding a couple of parks and a playground. Stops and a gazebo on the way.
The actual park is ok. Theres lots of shade and some decent grassy areas. There are a few areas to play sports, even though the baseball diamond isnt really maintained well. Past the park you can go up the hill on a sort of hiking/walking trail. The hiking trail is ok, but be warned if you going midday during the summer its going to be hot and bright. There is no shade except for a gazebo up the path
Happy that I can finally take my kids to the park
Great park for all ages and all interests
Two great playgrounds and plenty of open areas. The trails up the hill are nice but poorly marked. Bathrooms can be closed at very random times. Still a great park we will drive across town to visit.
Nice views and a variety of native plants. Watch for wildlife and occasional snakes. Very little shade. Fair amount of inclines/ declines here and there.
Great place near town to walk.
Great for hiking, running, or just hanging out checking out some great views of Reno!
Went there around 9 am on a Sunday. Plenty of shade in the lower area of the park. This included a basketball court, playground, and grilling area. The bathrooms were locked, so dont count on them. The upper part of the park has very little shade, as it is about 1.7 mile walking loop. It is well maintained, except there are weeds with nasty stickers; I brought my dog and combed her thoroughly after. No water available along on the trail. Very nice views.
Its a great trail and loops for you runners. Has some hills if you go counter clockwise. Leads to a little park below and there is a public restroom thats open in summer. Basketball court and tennis courts. Baseball field below and pretty popular on weekends.
This is a great little park, and a perfect location for outdoor activities!
The park is good; there are two sides of the park with playgrounds, lots of tree-lined grassy areas, a path at the street level and pavilion, bathrooms, etc. But the coolest part of the park, in my opinion, is the trailhead. Its not a gorgeous hike, but its quick access to a little elevation gain and a view. Its a convenient little hike.
Quiet place with good views of Reno city
Whats there not to like. Its not too far away from the city. There is a grassy park, with trees and a stream running through it. You can jog, bike or walk and theres a pavilion near the top of the highest point with an amazing view. And on a warm and windy day its a great way to meditate and enjoy the outdoors without going to far away from downtown Reno :D
Its not a bad park, just not much to it
Very nice, short walk with pretty plants and good view of the surroundings.
Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and still be in the city.
I love to be here....
My favorite park in all of reno. i love to hike the hills, and love the variety of park equipment
Beautiful hiking trail!! Amazing views of Reno!!
Great place to have a local hike/walk/run while seeing all sorts of awesome wildlife, Ive personally seen a mountain lion, a black bear and a BULLSNAKE, with an awesome gazebo to rest at the top and view the city.
Lovely trail thats great for kids too....two playgrounds, picnic tables with canopy, basketball court, tennis court, and large play field. Perfectly great place for your family.
We like going here because it is the closest to our house. The trails around the hill are easy enough for kids. The tennis courts are Terrible, but we still use them.
Easy hike for great views. Kinda steep with loose rocks and gravel at the top.
Beautiful and quiet despite being in a city. Great for moderate incline walks.
Nice local hiking spot and park. Has been cleaned up since I was last in town.
Nice for a mid day stroll not too strenuous but enough to keep things interesting
We only did the playgrounds and the kiddos enjoyed them. Looks like a real nice trail leading up the hill to the viewing area.
Very peaceful breath of fresh air
Nice green space with plenty of open trails. Even a small drainage with running water. Supports small aquatic animals and numerous bird life.
Lots of grass. Playground is not that great.
Perfect for social distancing.
Pretty great place to just chill at and have the kids run free at the playground up front and another nicer one further into the park and then a bunch of scenic hiking paths are amazing
Perfect easy hike with 360 degree views and easy to drive here as its near the freeway. No shade, clean walking paths, dog friendly with occasional messes left behind and some initial elevation but easy after that. Less than 2 miles around the whole thing.
Great place to work out and play
Live near by and love it! Only big problem is people having there dogs off leash and last week a shepard mix almost bit me while off leash. The owners disregard the all dogs on leash law at the park and trail, this is why I give it 3 stars. So be careful.
Love the walking paths around the mountain. Great views, decent short hike that you dont have to go waaayyyyyy outta town for, and barely ever crowded to speak of.
I nice fun hike in town with a great view
Nice warm.up hiking ...close of Reno with a Great View
Its a great place inside Reno for a good view of the surrounding area if youre willing to go just a hair off path, and it has a decent walking/running path around the whole park.
Fun well kept park. Safe for kids!
It’s great but I wish the signs on the hill were readable. They are very old and weathered. It definitely needs a beautification touch up all the way around but superb location. Amazing views.
I really love this park, the trail is a simple loop that mostly anyone can to go on.
Nice desert trails with interesting views.
Always a great short hike with wonderful views
Lovely views from the top.
Such a beautiful area. As well as beautiful park. Favorite part is the mountain trail in the back.
Great for short rocky single track mtb
Lunch. Hike up Rattlesnake Mountain for lu ch.
Great hike with great views. You could see the residential area and hotels up on the hills. Definitely coming back.
Love this place....so much fun to walk and run/jog. Great workout and great place to walk dogs
One of the best walking paths in the city. It really kicks your behind and a great way to get a little fresh air. Watch out there are reptiles present nothing to worry about though keep your eyes open.
One of the best In Reno
Fun trail and awesome views. Some parts not marked as much as Id thought
Great little hike. Clean and well maintained. Bathroom at trail head. Plenty of parking.
This place was pretty cool I was able to walk my dog no problems but you knowthey need to have somebody patrol because other people let their dogs run around with no leash
Great place to relax and have a barbeque but its in a getto location
Great park there are swings. Slides. And walking paths if you want to walk your dogs. Small creek nearby.
Nice lil trail park with a good view.
Very scenic and not far from the city.
Great place to escape the rat race od being in town
Peaceful park.
Best view over looking Southwest Reno.
Nice views. Sunny and spacious.
Good place to meet some smoking friends ha.
Very versatile park, the lower section has a vast grassy lawn that connects to both a baseball feild and a large playground. There is also two tennis courts and a variety of areas to eat or even cook on their charcoal barbeques. The best part of the Huffaker Park though is the hike available if you follow the trail up the mountain. Its about a 1.5 mile loop, and if you play pokemon there is a plethora of Pokestops and two gyms.
Nice and peaceful with the right person
Great little park, needs a little bit of love but a great place for the kids.
Nice park . A lot of people with their dogs off leash .
Great view, nice walk or run
Excellent little course you can make it long or short as you wish the math doesnt do it justice Scott different color trails unfortunately theyre not marked youll pick it up as you go I recommend it his little picnic tables at the top bring a snack
Nice place for children to get outdoors!
Wilderness hike in middle of Reno with great views of city and mountains.
I grew up here. It never changes but is large and well maintained.
This park has it all. My favorite part is Huffaker Hill, an amazing place to run laps around if you want a hill filled challenge. It offers a gorgeous view of the city. Theres a large green open field for any kinds of games. A baseball diamond, a playground, as well as a place to grill and sit under shade.
A nice hill to climb and look at Reno from
This is a park with absolutely wonderful potential. My kids love going here. Its just absolutely infiltrated with wasps. I had sent a message to the city after the last time we were there, only to get an extremely snarky reply saying they do their best. Today we went and my daughter got bit by a wasp. Every single parent I have ever seen there complains about the problem.
These trails are loaded with dangerous lava rocks.
