Nice little drive up a winding road to a short hike to a nice view. 30 minute adventure.

My grandkids, 5 & 7yrs, enjoyed stopping here. Very rustic stonework, and lovely scenery of the valley, and beyond!

Stopped here on the drive from Virginia city to Reno. Awesome look out spot. Definitely a great place to do drugs, eat In-n-Out burger then dump your trash in the floor...as it seems a few people did before we arrived here at this beautiful vista.

This place is rich in history and the view is breath taking. Definitely worth the stop.

If your going up to Virginia City, Its a must to go and look over the overlook. But today is a lousy day to do it, because The smoke is so thick you cant see The Valley. But it is a must to see.

It has an incredible view of the Reno valley. It also has a rock seating area thats pretty cool. Its just a little walk down the path from where you park.

Bring a jacket if its windy during the off season! Other than that, just be careful at night. Great place for sunset and sun rise viewing!

Beautiful lookout point. My wife and I came here on a cold and windy day but it was still beautiful. At the very top peak you have a beautiful view of the mountains. Brrrrr! If it wasnt so cold my wife and I would have stayed longer. The wind made it feel like ice at that altitude. But it was still a beautiful experience for my wife and I.

It was neat imagining what this place must have been like while it was still maintained and used. There were old bbq grills and pits all over the place and a latrine that has long since been used or maintained. The views overlooking Reno and the small towns heading south toward Carson City were pretty spectacular. Was a great day to take it all in.

I love this walk with trailhead parking near Reno.

Lots of trash left around out there. Did get to see some wild horses though which was neat. And the view is amazing.

A must stop on the way to/from Virginia City, especially if you’re passing thru for the first time… Awesome views of the valley from different angle, easy parking and some area to walk around. If you have a folder chair in your trunks, like I do – well, you have an awesome spot for your “snack break”

My son thought he was going to be blown over the side of the lookout (I was holding him, tightly)... as soon as we got around the top of the steps of the lookout, the wind hit us really hard and he screamed. I laughed and laughed, and then we left because he didnt think it was fun anymore. Amazing view of the valley though, I plan on making a trip here without my little next time lol..

I was going from Virginia city to Reno and I saw that overlook. I was just shocked how cool it is. I stopped and hiked around this place. It made me feel so great and adventurous!Definitely check out this spot, especially beautiful during sunset!

Wow! Great views! But need to be mobile, lots of walking on uneven surfaces, and climbing stairs for an amazing view.

Brought my nephews from Fresno ca we had an amazing day in the snow and we went to Virginia city.

You have to see it to believe it.
