We visited the the Eaton house yesterday. It was absolutely amazing. The house is in excellent shape and you can tell that the people involved truly care about and love this 110 year home. It is a must see. Thanks Rita for the tour. You should also check out the museum in a Lake Shasta City also. They are in a new building and it is also amazing.
Great place to visit. Staff very informative.
Were new to Redding, love learning local history.
Great tour. Happy to see history preserved .
Behind the courthouse and the jail youll find a white house thats been turned into a museum the Eaton house.Overtime theyve been fixing this house up turning it into a museum for the area. That house has been left a million dollars in a bank account and they use the money that that cash earns to fix it.Nowadays its looking pretty good and its open for tours. If you want to see a little bit of historyand know a little bit more about the judge that left the house.its easy to findits the street right behind the jail and the courthouse fitting for a judges house right.Just another interesting thing to do when youre wandering around Redding. . .
Beautifully redone Victorian home such a treasure for Redding. Beside the house there are several additional buildings filled with historical items. This and the Old Shasta Museum are my personal favorite places to take out of town visitors..
Very interesting tour. Good exhibits. Friendly volunteers. AWESOME landscaping
Best museum experience ever! The ladies were so warm and welcoming like they were having you in their home! They had so much information they were happy to share! A very special place!

Was very informative !!
Great museum -- lovely antiques, beautiful artwork, & lots of family stories!
Disgustingly shocked! The county & city really do shock me. This man was no good. A lot of men (who were boys way back when) i bet are also disgusted as well. God bless all those boys.....
Cool free tour
