What a great recreational center. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and are in reasonably good shape. Several woodsy trails parallel a babbling stream filled with fish. Several people standing in center of water in gear, fishing. Lake, boating, bathrooms on premises, tons of places to bbq. Large spaces for group gatherings or intimate moments for couples holding hands through the leisurely shaded paths.

This is a nice park with good facilities. We ate a take-out dinner at a picnic table under a pavilion. People were enjoying the park, walking the trails and fishing in the ponds and streams. Plenty of parking and the place was clean. People were observing social distancing when appropriate, and the park police were not bothering anybody. Plus it looks like there is a nice little model railroad display in the building over the creek.

The Christmas lights at Grings Mill is a nice holiday treat thats very affordable. Admission to the park is only $5 per vehicle. There is live music in the upper level of the barn. The lower level is where Santa Claus and Mrs clause wait for taking pictures with the kids. The snack bar has all the seasonal treats, most of which are only $1. There are numerous light displays, a miniature train village, and best of all...live Reindeer!

Absolutely beautiful place, great place for the family. They have some places to grill and picnic. The trail near Grings mill is Union Creek trail and it is great for bicycling. If you do plan to ride a bike Id be cautious for unsuspecting hikers around.

Nice historic grain mill. Ive attended several presentations in the multi purpose barn. You can fish along the creek and from the dam. As you can see, lots of wildlife...including a bald eagle periodically. Right now in early spring the paths are a bit muddy.

Jo
Review №58

Very nice park, has a small playground for the kids, restrooms at the bottom of the hill in the first building, right before you get to the bridge. The road is paved down to the bridge from the parking lot, but the path along the river is pea sized gravel.Stocked trout fishing stream, you can fish from the bridge, or from various spots along the path.It is about a 1 mile walk to the covered bridge, and there is a 3 mile walk as well in the other direction. The sign on the far side of the river from the parking lot gives the milage and direction.Lots of people enjoying the trail today on Sunday, families with small kids, runners and those fishing the stream, and quite a few cyclists.Find the stone/cement turtle, for bonus points. The river has a spillway under the bridge, but there is a canoe pull out for portaging above and below it. Have to carry the canoe about 100 feet.

For the price, it was a nice place to see the Christmas lights, reindeer and train display, however, it was not worth the hour drive to get there. The area to see Santa is very small and so is the train display. More then 10 people and its crowded.
