We were here for the 2020 Columbus Day soccer tourney. A lot of tournaments do a poor job of directing traffic and providing enough parking. WRAL does a great job of both. We were able to find parking near the field, and get out afterward in less than 4 minutes. Fields are a mix of turf and grass. It rained 24 hours beforehand, but the fields were in great shape too.
Great soccer complex! Shows what can happen when the private sector pitches in great things can happen! Virginia Beach Hampton roads soccer complex needs to take notes, and work on getting corporate sponsorship so we can get beautiful turf fields like they have Raleigh.
This is a huge soccer park on the outskirts of Raleigh. There are a lot of soccer fields in the complex. They had a wide variety of ages playing today from young children all the way up to what looked like adults. Its a nice complex. It looked like every field was occupied. Parking was hard to find today. Im not sure if its hard to find all the time or not. It was also difficult to left when leaving the complex. There was a city policeman sitting in the middle of the road at the exit, but he was sitting in his car and not really helping with traffic control.
Many turf and grass fields in good to excellent conditions. Public restrooms are rare, so plan ahead. Parking system is not optimal but acceptable.
It had good fields and nice facilities. Ample parking, but the access was one way.
Very good coaches. From req to classic they are wonderful and fields are very nice.
When NCFC loads games at this facility parking is incredibly difficult and leaving can take a half hour.
THE place to play soccer in Raleigh. Good fields, decent bathrooms and access to the Raleigh Greenway along Neuse River. There is wifi but I havent been able to access it
It was a nice park. It was enough parking for everyone.
Great parking area to access the Nurse River Trail. Always clean and safe.
Fantastic soccer park. Not much else to say.
I just can believe that it’s been three years since I first did a review for WRAL Soccer Park“Great place, clean”Today November 21, 2020 I get the chance to come back again with my son for a Showcase but under a totally different situation this year around the world we are dealing with Covid-19 during our stay many people where using masks but it was sad to see that many didn’t.Like three years ago the fields are in a very good condition, the league post several signs just to be aware of symptoms of Covid, I want to thank you for that. Hopefully I get the chance to come back soon Thank you for your hospitality NC
This is a great park to do mostly anything you want! Plus, having excellent fundraisers is great in terms of space.
I’ve had the best overall experience playing at this complex
Nice turf fields. The road is all one way, which is a little confusing, especially with the median keeping you from turning into some lots
Good place to have a soccer game and tournament.
Huge improvements here over the years. Been part of the group for over 10 years and enjoyed every minute (even those in sub-freezing temps and rain!)
So my son and his trainer was just kicked off the wral soccer field because they was training, doing football drills/foot work.. so you telling be yall Discriminate against a diff sport for be able to train on yall fields?!!!
Great place for good time and soccer game
Beautiful soccer complex...
What a great Soccer facility for our youth.
I only drove past, wierd
Parking is always tricky when multiple games or tournaments happening. Grass areas have improved. Fun place for kids to learn and play soccer.
Parking is tricky so get there early!
Very nice soccer facility. The parking is adequate. The field are good.
Fantastic fields but the traffic situation is a struggle
Great soccer complex. There are many fields, some grass, some turf. The only negative is the parking situation; it can be tough to find a place to park. The driveway through the complex is one-way only, so if you miss your turn, you have to go all the way around again.
Do you like sitting in your car and not going anywhere? If not, avoid this place at all costs. Quite possibly the worst laid out sports comlex in the known universe. I am writing this as I sit in my car 37 minutes after our soccer ended, still only half way through the one way U that navigates your through this parking maze of misery and despair. If your child has a game here, please allow at least an additional 20 minutes to find a parking spot and hike to the correct field.
Thus us the largest soccer facility I have ever seen with permanent snack bars and restrooms. The fields are excellent with a slight crown in the middle for water drainage. There are about 20 different soccer fields here with ample parking so be sure to know what number your game is on.
Excellent soccer facilities. Multiple turf and grass fields. Heated bathroom. Handicapped accessible bathroom and parking. Paved walkways to fields. Traffic pattern poorly designed. Difficult to turn left into park because of cement barriers and difficult to turn right leaving because of poor visibility. Limited parking spots.
Can’t believe we flew in to play here and have coaches see our son and they ended the half at 25 min. The college coach we talked to couldn’t even see him play more than 5 min at end of game because the game ended 30 minutes early. Unbelievable
Amazing complex. Well kept, clean, and plenty of parking for all of the fields. Only issue is that they close for weather a little too conservatively.
Great fields and ample parking area, just a bit far from downtown Raleigh and Cary.
Awesome place to play soccer!
Friendly Park with 24 soccer fields with 6 turfs.
Would rate 5 star but its not always open. It has tons of so car fields and a walking, and biking trail. Its also a great place to play pokemon go (if youre into that)
Great spot. Bring parasol, tent, cooling towels ect. No shade. Very congested when everyone is trying to exit at the same time. Should have people directing traffic, making the in an out lane for the short term.
Always clean
I am watching my nephew at game
Simply too many fields and the parking and traffic makes it a clustered mess. Give yourself some extra time prior to your game so you can stalk a parking spot.
Lots of childhood memories made here. Great, well kept complex. A bit of a ways out there but always worth the drive.
Parking at min. Better lock cars. Saw Blackman with painted Jeans checkin doors. Saw him go in a couple.
This place is a huge confusing soccer park. They can do a much better job labeling the fields. Also, put a traffic light before someone dies from traffic accident.
Great park .. has security, great place to play soccer at night during day time its mostly for games already set by the park . If any questions call the park for information.
Great lit turf fields! You play rain or shine if there is no lightning, then there is an alarm you have to wait to go off...
What a great soccer complex. Ive coached a few games out here.Im from Germany, and nowhere near I lived did we have such a large and excellent facility of high-quality fields. We now live close by and will come here more often.
Great complex, nice greenway in the back to checkout while your kid is practicing.
Tall grass for the tournament, but very. Nice fields and facility.
GLAD there is a place that so many games can take place at one time, definitely a need for more parking. Appreciate there are police officers to direct traffic in and out.
A lot of soccer fields for many different games. They have turf fields and grass. Traffic is not bad but still needs work and there are few restroom around the big area
Great setup. Kind of weird to have two bathrooms in each section
Amazing facilities. Turf fields were in great shape. Close, clean bathrooms were also a plus.
Absolutely ridiculous to pay close to $900 to come play in a showcase here and have them shorten the playing time from 40 to 25 min. That is seriously disappointing for the players and coaches who care to see them play.Additionally- very poor communication from the tournament officials regarding the change. Finding out mid way through the game because the officials ended the half at 25 min is completed unacceptable.
The complex is great but the traffic disbursement is awful.
Bellisimo
WRAL is a large soccer complex with over 20 fields. There are a couple of turf fields and the rest are grass fields. There are bathrooms. There is one entrance and exit shaped like a U which makes traffic move more quickly. The complex is easy to see from the road and there is a lot of parking although there are normally a lot of games so parking can be limited.
Nice lovely place to be
This place is extremely busy. Watch out for flying soccer balls. It is the go to place for soccer practice it’s one of the nicer outdoor parks.
Best soccer facilities in all of the Triangle area
Very nice for soccer. Wish food trucks could stay here.
In general, this is a nice facility. What I dont like is snaking around the horseshoe to get to some of the fields. I understand the need for one-way traffic and its nice to have a single large facility like this, but its so big that it is kind of unwieldy. On gamedays you will really struggle for parking if you arrive 30 minutes before your game.I was also surprised by the poor condition of some of the outer fields. The interior field turn fields are gorgeous, but some of the outer fields are muddy and rough.
Good fields and panty of parking.
Large soccer complex with turf and grass fields. All fields are well maintained and clean. There is *usually* plenty of parking, unless there is an exceptionally large tournament going on.
Not very handicap walking area
Grass fields cannot handle the rain!
Nice Soccer park with lots of room
The park has alot of fields but only has one way in and out which can be hectic when transitioning from one game to another
Very nice but sometimes crowded
Great park dog and kid friendly
Grass fields could use some work, but the turf fields and lights are good.
I play TASL adult league at these fields. Turf is excellent and the lighting is bright. My frustration is the poorly designed parking layout. If youre playing on one of the first 5 fields, you would have to know if your field is on the right or left because theyve built a divider between the lanes as you enter the complex.
A fantastic place to excercise and wind down.
Very nice place, staff very helpful and generous
If your family loves to play soccer, you need to be here.
Great place to watch and play soccer
Great soccer park! The only problem is getting in & out. They have turf and grass fields and lights for playing at night. There is even a concession stand!
Best soccer field in the triangle
The front fields are nice. They are turf and have adequate room for spectators. However the fences are pretty short which leads to a lot of balls going into the parking lot. Also the parking lot fills up quickly so get there early. The back fields are grass and they dont all have good places for spectators to sit.
We have only used fields in section 7 and 14 so far but the quality is pretty good. Parking is plenty and traffic keeps flowing even in peak hours. The concession stand people are also very nice.
If youve never been there, look up the map online to find the field youre looking for first. It can get really busy and hectic in there and its good to know exactly where youre going.
What a amazing soccer park
Been going here since I was 5 years old. Love all of the updates throughout the years. But they definitely need to re-do the nets near the turf fields. Theyre there but balls are consistently still going into the woods. Cant be too expensive
Really nice soccer facility. Turf fields and very convenient with all the fields close together.
Great soccer venue, quality turf fields. Parking is limited on busy days and parents/fans watching game have narrow space along sidelines
I have played soccer here before and I would say that the fields are kind of bumpy in a way because of the grass. But the concession stands are great and the way that they get Kona-Ice to come is a great idea! Overall there are a few things that could be worked on here and there but it is a great place!
Great fields. Parking lot signage could be better but helpers were there
Nice soccer complex. It is big but very great directions in order to find and park by your field. During a tournament it is hard to find a parking spot.
So many people and they have no awareness for other people.
Parking is an issue but the complex is nice and good for the kids. Wish my daughters club had a place like this
Great fields but parking is virtually impossible during a tournament.
Been playing Adult Rec there for 7-8 years. There have been huge improvements to the pitches over the past few years. Convenient from 540.
I loved it here! It was a little hot but it was fun playn w/ new friends, making friends, and most inportantly shooting . I dont care if I dont win, I just came here to have fun
Its a great complex, just dont miss your turns for parking, once you enter, if you are playing on the first few fields. If you do, youll have to exit the complex and try again. Unless you dont mind walking, then you can park wherever.
Pretty organized for hosting such a huge event. CASL.
Bathrooms kind of small for the number of people who use the facilities, but maybe I didnt see all available bathrooms.
