Riverview Park

A lovely park with a fantastic shelter house and great, accessible playground. Lots to do for almost any child. Lots of benches and close to the skate park. The only complaint might be that there are no large trees nearby yet, so there is no natural cover on the playground itself, and there is no fencing between the river and the playground which may make some people uncomfortable.

What a gorgeous park! I didn’t know it was there until this summer, and I’m sure glad I found it. There’s playgrounds, places to walk or picnic, and the most beautiful views you can get in the Midwest. Definitely take your kids there so they can play around on the playground while you take in the beauty of the river.

Great shade trees, plenty of picnic tables, restrooms with flushing toilets, water fountain. One negative, the womens restroom faucet did not have cold water, only hot.

With the heavy rains in the Midwest I went to Riverview Park as it overlooks the Mighty Mississippi. The view from there is great and when the levy broke in 1993 it was a great place to go as you could see a lot of the damage over in West Quincy, Missouri.

This is a great place to enjoy some great views of the Mississippi river and surrounding areas. There are benches placed at strageic places to take full advantage of the bluffs and trees for optimal viewing and relaxation. There is also a nice shelter for groups to gather and cookout or celebrate. Lots of open space for kids to run and play, too.
