The games are so much fun, the staff is great, and the drinks are delicious!I loved how many multi player games there were. all the types. really decent set up working with COVID restrictions!I didnt have the food myself but I saw a lot of people ordering while I was there. I cant wait to go back to try that part of the menu.
The Free play Bar currently charges $10 for admission because of virus. But, you get a $5 voucher to use on drinks or appetizer. The recommended drinks on their menu ranges from $8.75-10.00. Youre better off getting their appetizer with the voucher. To view the menu you need to view it on your smartphone because they dont have a physical menu for you to view it. You need to also wear a mask.
Good food and drinks, great crew, and amazing games. Only 10 bucks to have endless fun! Highly recommend for any kind of hangout.
Surrender your soul to arcade. Hundreds of options. You pay a cover and play as much as you want. Frequently plays classic rock as ambience music. If you go upstairs theres a dancing area with contemporary pop music and young people. Friendly to all ages downstairs, where the arcades are. There are bars in both floors.
Covid clean and enjoyable fun night out! Highly recomend!
$10 to get in but pretty fair, nice games, friendly staff and cheap food and drinks. I loved it, super recommend it
Some of the controllers need some love/maintenance. Prices fair, bar was fast and efficient. Terrific selection and great music. Will definitely go again.
Great spot love the old vintage games and the drinks arent too pricey.
Worst staff ever. I had 6 “security” guards throw us out for trying to get our phone that was left at our table. They had a off duty security guard try to intimidate us to push us onto the street. 5 guys had the audacity to push my girlfriend and started laughing. They should all be going to jail the way they handled this situation.
$10 for unlimited play! Everyone followed covid procedures, my boyfriend and I had a blast!
Great drinks, owners are awesome hosts, games are really fun. Come here and try it. Great atmosphere.
Ive been recommending this place to people non-stop since going. A huge variety of fun games. Add drinks and some food, what more could you want?
It only costs $5 to get in and you can play an unlimited number of amazing and classic arcade games. Absolutely worth going to
Awesome place easily spent 3 hours and only $5 would go again and again.
Loved it.i felt like a kid again
Clean and they take a lot of precautions.. lots of sanitizing stations. Good times too lots of games to play
I went for Gayme night on Monday. Go a bit early to play the games but the drag show is a must see! I’ve never been so welcomed, great vibes! There were plenty of games to choose from. Can’t complain for $4.00 cover. I’d like to see them repair some of the games but I don’t know anything about arcade maintenance. The drinks were tasty as well.
Free Play is an awesome place to go to! They have tons of retro arcade games, pinball, air hockey, etc., It is especially good because you pay one small fee to get in and place as much as you want! Bar is also really good. Highly highly recommend! A really fun place
Solid experience, drag queens and arcade games is all you can ask for!As far as Providence activities, I would say that free play is among the most fun Ive had in a night with relatively low hassle. We went on a Monday for a drag event and I loved it! Its a solid bar experience, with an acceptable selection of alcohol, but the main draw is clearly the events and arcade selection.Overall its a good night out! Id recommend stopping by for one of the special events.
I had a lot of fun down there. Drinks arent too expensive, and if you like old school arcade games, a lot of the classics are here. My only gripe is that some of the machines dont work 100%, but a lot of them are 25-30 years old, so some wear is expected. Great place, though, and Ill be going back!
WOW - great fun here! $10 entry, but unlimited play - what a great concept! They dont jack up the beer prices either, really happy about that. Love the variety and the huge selection of pinball they have.
Love this spot! Go on Mondays! Its only $4 to get in and play free unlimited games! There is a drag show that starts around 10pm! So much fun! Great games, nice layout!
Oh hey, this is DGAF... Or at least it used to be. Im wicked happy with what theyve done to the place, it used to be a club but not its a spacious barcade. In true fashion to this location I started the night off with a drink and dancing, just this time it was DDR and not a live DJ... With the same music . Great place though totally beats all the barcades Ive been to in the Boston area, by the shear amount of space this place has you dont need to constantly worry about bumping into people.
One of the greatest places ever. $10 cover charge for all the old school games you could ask for - set on free play!! Played so much skeeball too - only game we had a hard time getting on was air hockey but hardly a bummer. Wow, if Boston had something even close to this.. ugh what an amazing place.
Hours of fun for only $10! So many games and a bar with a decent beer selection and reasonably priced drinks. They allow re-entry before 9 too so you can play for an hour or two, take a break to grab a bite to eat, and then play some more or dance the night away at one of their themed dance parties. This past Saturday was 80s/90s.
A lot of fun! Busy on the weekends, its packed! ID at the door, they will turn you away, beware.
SUPER inexpensive fun!! Definitely one of my favorite places to hang out in the city!
Super cool place. Reasonable admission prices, pretty good drinks, and a lit of awesome cabinets to play on.Absolutely coming back next time Im in the area
Love the atmosphere- pizza is freaken amazing. You get to meet cool people! And enjoy your stay with friends. I love it
Reasonable cover ($10) games and pinball tables seem to be in great shape! For those in the know, the pinball table legs are NOT super tight, so move it! On site bar. Very happy with visit! Recommend!
5 bucks at the door then play all the familiar 80s / 90s arcade games and pinball to your hearts content. Money will spent. They have booze and pizza if it already wasnt cool enough.
Fun stuff. Games I have not played in 30 years. Need to practice more..I will be back.....in fact have been 2 more times since our first try. We keep remembering games and .......yes they have them. Took a whole bunch of friends here for my 50th birthday....as a break....spent 1 hour totally worth it.
Super fun, but the list of games available on their website is inaccurate. Specifically went looking to play some Street Fighter 3, but was disappointed to discover they didnt even have the cabinet! Still had fun, but this was a bit disappointing.Update- I may have been mistaken. Will confirm/deny next time I go. Upgrading to 5 stars for now but well see how it goes.
Awesome place, great idea! Honestly...cover charge and all the awesome games from my childhood free!? Yes please! Drinks were good..a little pricey, but the games were free so oh well. Great time!
As far as retro game arcade goes- this place takes the cake, its unreal. Every game you can think of from Atari games to pacman, to Terminator 2 pinball. Someone did a great job setting this up.
Great place for a night out! Around 7:30-8 it’s not too busy that you have to wait for games but isn’t so dead that it’s lame. Has a small patio for smokers so you don’t have to go out the entrance (which is nice when it gets busy!!)The only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the wait for beers; could’ve used a 2nd bartender, and the area where the line goes is a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, no complaints!
Great flashback to the 80s arcade. Cant believe how many old random games they had. Came here with two friends on a Thursday night and was shocked to find the cover was only $5.00 a head. We played for hours and it really brought me back to my youth playing all old games and so many I forgot about. Still blow away on how many games they have. Awesome time. Definitely going back.
Great volume and variety of classic games. Even on a busy Friday night still plenty of accessible games with a group of 4 to enjoy. Cover was $20. Decent bar selection. Great night out with friends. Most games were functioning pretty well. Skee ball and air hockey were nice additions to classic cabinet style games from 80s and 90s.
Great place, great drinks, great service, and great games. My only issue is that on Fridays and Saturdays are unbearably crowded after 8 but thats to be expected of a place thats in the middle of Providence on the weekend. Overall Id completely recomend this place and dont plan to stop visiting anytime soon.
Very cute tons of free classic games didnt try the food or drinks this time but Ill update when I do. Good luck parking though, but thats to be expected all of Providence is a clusterfk to park in. Excited to check out the Worcester location when it opens.
Very good value for the money! 10 dollar cover. Free play with no limit. Must be 21 or over to enter. Check at the door.
If you can think of a game changers are theyve got it. 10 dollar giver on weekends gets you all access to any game as well as the retro dance floor upstairs. The beats gonna make you sweat till you bleed....
When I walked in I was excited as a little kid. I thought it was going to be some small little place but it was huge. They had my Pac-Man, which I used to be really good at, and Im still not too bad for not playing in a long time. And they had my pinball games that I love when I was in my twenties, they had Addams Family pinball, taxi pinball, Fish Tales, Donkey Kong all the games that I loved. Also had a great vibe. I went last night and I will go again I just wish it was closer to where I lived.
Ive been multiple times. I love it... Bartenders are on it, their pizza is delicious, reasonable priced drinks and if you want to take a break from games, they have a dance floor upstairs. $10 cover but free games and dancing all night is worth it. My only complaint is some arcades need work, as in joysticks or buttons dont work at times, probably just wear and tear, but not enough to lower the rating. Place is a must go.
It was Fri night after Turkey Day, good crowd, but not insane, didnt go upstairs, not into clubs anymore. But $10 at the door on a Fri and what ever happens happen? Not too Bad
Had such an amazing time after being quarantined for moths ️
This place is amazing and just $5 to get in please visit this place. Plus they have a 6 player X-Men arcade.
Fantastic atmosphere. Great music. Awesome game selection. The club upstairs is a blast. Ive included some pics of the club.
I enjoyed my night immensely. We were there for 2-3 hours and had a blast playing games. Great selection of old games. Good drink selection and pizzas were good. Staff is super friendly.
Dope spot. Unlimited play.
Great spot to spend a couple hours! Not insanely crowed. Games are all covered by $5/10 cover and drinks arent way overpriced.
Had a great time. A fantastic way to play some old games as they were originally designed.
The pizza wad good; the drinks were better; and the games were fun. The noise level hurt my ears a little, but it IS a bar. Its a good place to go a couple times per month.
Fun spot for drinks and games
So much fun! Old school games and free unlimited play on everything! Fun drink menu and good selection.
As the name says, all games are free to play after admission cost... which I believe to be very reasonable. Wide assortment of games, from pinball to air hockey, and a huge variety of arcade games. 21+ for entry, as they have a bar as well.
A lot of fun! Huge variety of games and I wasnt even expecting the dance floor upstairs. The DJ was kind of hit or miss but my boyfriend and I still had tons of fun.
Great atmosphere with a lot of classic arcade games to choose from that are all free! Definitely worth a visit. I was there for four hours the first time I visited and it was amazing.
This is a great fun place with many arcade games, most in good working shape. Theres so many great classics, its awesome. They have bar pizza if your hungry and a decent selection to drink from. The drinks are where they make their money, so expect average to above average drink prices because the fun is basically free after paying a cheap cover charge.
Huge selection of vintage games, pinball and air hockey. I went during a family friendly event, and my 7 y/o had a blast. Great beer selection, and pizzas sound good. Will be back.
Awesome. All you can play old school video games. And booze!
What a different crowd from The Rooftop... but I like, definitely more chill and the drinks are cheap here! It’s a $10 cover but you get to play unlimited arcade games. They even have a dance floor on the second level that played pretty good music. Big arcade bar theme place. Fun to hang out with some friends.
It was like my teenage years has come back to life! A great fun place for adults two step back in time a little bit and have some fun just like they did when they were kids.
This place is freaking awesome. $10 cover gets you unlimited play on 100s of games that you miss and love. Drink selection is on point and is reasonably priced. Great for anyone 21 to dead. Check it out, you really should. Games you miss, love, and some that you havent even heard of. Dancing too, and its not a sausage fest. Love it.
THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO GO!!!!
Full stop the best arcade I’ve ever been to and it’s not even close. It’s $10 at the door but once you’re in it’s unlimited free plays. Of everything. And my god is the selection immense. Every game from your childhood that you could want to play is here plus some newer stuff to go with it. There’s four-way air hockey, tons of pinball, shooting games, racing games, Mario games, everything.Add to all of that a good beer selection and you have just an absolute treasure of an establishment. People of Providence — protect this place at all costs.
Absolutely love this bar! It’s so fun when your over just sitting at a bar too but don’t want to drop 100+ at Dave and busters
Updating my review since the opening, still the one of the best places to grab some drinks and place tons of classic cabinets and pinball tables, enough said.
This place is downright awesome!! The pizza is good and cheap ($9 at the time of writing this.) $5 during the week, $10 on Fri and Sat but unlimited game play once your in the door. All the games I loved when I was younger (no I am NOT revealing my age, lol) but this place brings back the kid in me. That is if the kid could play unlimited games, eat pizza and drink beer. I just went last night and am already excited to be returning tonight. I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer. Ready player one.
Awesome! Good drinks, great games, good environment!
First time here with my brother.Great place, cool old school arcade games I used to play when I was a teenager awesome place.I recommend it to us old school arcade goers.
Great place and no its not like Dave & Busters. Its a 90s arcade with a bar. You pay a cover and all the games are free play. They have a solid booze selection and great beers on tap, I think they sell pizza too, but the reason I come here is all in the first two sentences. Lots of date night happening on the Friday we were there celebrating my nephews birthday. Its a great time and I would do it again.
Awesome games, hot bartender, 10/10 would recommend
Fun place. Some good games and some way old game not as entertaining
Fun place! Great cocktails, and lots of game options. The $10 cover gives you access to unlimited gaming all night. They have pinball, racing games, Dance Dance Revolution, skee-ball, and even a version of beer pong along with everyones favorites like pacman and tapper.
Huge assortment of Arcade fun. Brought my 30 year old son. He cut his teeth on this scene. Of course adding pizza and beer only makes it a Mecca for anyone old enough to remember a fist of quarters and pinball machines!
Awesome nostalgic spot! Dont miss out on the 80s,90s,00s disco on the second floor.
Fun barcade with a great selection of classic arcade games. Great double date destination
AWESOME! All the old game and a bar to go with it, itntook me 2 drinks to feel tipsy, so they dont skimp out. Love it! 10/10Ps: you have to be 21+ years to even get in
Nice spot. Good craft beer selections. Great atmosphere.
Great place to go back in time. Play as long as you want for $5 and any machine
If you havent been here and you live in Rhode Island: WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? This place lives up to the hype, it has every game you would want to play under the sun including the infamous Star Wars Vector Arcade cabinet.Wow just wow, full bar lots of options; staff was pleasant; place was clean and well operated.Cover was only 4 bucks, and thats a steal during the week(I think the price goes up during the weekend.) If I still lived in RI Id be hitting this spot up very frequently, a must go!
Lots of fun games! had a great night during the fire thingy whatever its called (I am from Philly and my husband is from everywhere in New England.). Gots to to play lots of video games and my husband played one racing game with me. he was going first and I was going second - so I sped up and smashed him off the road and then I won! Lots of fun I recommend this place!
Great selection of games, good space, good drinks. cant wait to come back.
Good games good drinks fun night club feels crowded in the arcade. And a lot of rude customers
Really cool place in the middle of downtown providence. Arcade selection was nice, and I really like the idea of a free play arcade. It gets rid of the stress of carrying around coins, and of course spending them all too quickly. You pay at the door and thats it. The bar has cocktails, and beer.
$6 cans and $4 for all-you-can-play arcade games? Yes please! The selection is huge, and all the games I played were in working order. This is easily my favorite bar in Providence!
Loved playing all the old arcade games, especially unlimited for just the cover fee!
This place is awesome if you are in the area I highly recommend it. You pay 10$ and then you can play unlimited games, arcade, pinball, air hockey, skee ball. They have all the classics and some newer games really nice. Theres a bar inside with very friendly bartenders, we actually met the owners who were sitting at the bar and asked us if everything was to our liking.
This place was incredible! I went for my 21st birthday and it was the best!
Great atmosphere at this arcade bar! So many games to choose from that even on a busy Friday night you didnt have to wait to play. Its a steal that for just a $10 cover you have access to free play all of the games, as well as access to the club upstairs if you decide you need a dance break! The beer selection is great and constantly changing. Ill definitely be back with more friends!
The bar is waaaaay too expensive. The arcade is a great deal and a great experience
Huge selection of games (pinball, arcade, ski-ball and air-hockey) carefully curated by passionate collector/owner over the course of a decade. Consistently charming and helpful staff. Great, thoughtful draft beer rotation. Yummy thin crust pizza. Nicely laid out for an adventurous vibe. And a fantastic bargain on admission for unlimited play. Makes for my regular weekly routine evenings escape from reality! Best in the country I have seen so far. Feel very lucky to have these folks as neighbors.
Great place to go for a date. Great value and drink prices are good too. Theyve got everything popular and the ones that Ive never even heard of (granted Im only 23 so I havent heard of many of them haha). Definitely will be a repeat customer!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Every arcade game ever made, a single entrance fee, a hand stamp that I liked having, fresh drinks, and delicious pizza. Easily spent hours with my friends here and will definitely do it again.
This place is great! Its a $10 cover to get in, some night its $5, but even then everything is on free play. The drink are priced very well. Only slight problem is some of the games need a little tune up
