They have done their job to safeguard us. Since everyone has a herd mentality thinking theaters arent safe so they stay home, thus we feel safer than going to any store or doing anything else. I scanned in, having bought our family tickets in advance and they welcomed us. There seemed to be a time discrepancy and I noticed that I had accidentally bought the tickets for the following week (reason for the time discrepancy having the movie start ten minutes later) but no problem on their end. We enjoyed the evening with popcorn and a movie.
What a lovely time out and to see a classic like A Christmas Story on the big screen.... It was magical!
Thru their app you can purchase movie tickets and food. You can schedule a pickup time for the food. Soda machine is touchless. Awesome.
A nice clean theater with plenty of screens for whatever movie youre interested in seeing. The seats are comfortable with enough space is enough to enjoy your movie in comfort. The prices are a little high when it comes to food, but thats pretty much expected nowadays when it comes to just about any theater.
Worst theater ever. $9 for popcorn! $6 for a small fountain soda. $6.59 for a hot dog. No track lighting on the stairs, chairs from 1992, and 20 minutes of strobe effect static on the screen before the movie. Absolutely the worst experience Ive had. If you take 4 people to a matinee with popcorn and soda for each you will be out almost $90!!!
This theater has really talen a step back. The movies are good, but the prices went up with nothing to show for it. The popcorn is off, the soda fountains always need to be cleaned and the restrooms smell. It is worth it to drive to Oaks or go to a smaller theater locally and get value for your money.
Clean facility, excellent sound quality. The only thing I found strange was you have to go to the refreshment area to buy your tickets.....no specific ticket area. So......if you dont want refreshments you must still stand in line. In addition, pay for your soft drink and proceed to a self help filling station and then stand in another line to get your hot sandwiches, pretzels etc. It seems a bit disorganized for my taste.......
I feel the people of the theater are nice but I think they could keep up with the small things in the theater for a better AMC experience. I wish they would oil up the chain that draws back the curtains when watching the show. They could also make sure there screen projectors that show the commercials before the movie are always working. I also went there one time when seeing Ford vs Ferrari and they needed a bulb for the actual movie projector because you couldnt see the people on the screen that well. It was so bad they let me come and see the movie at a different time and a different movie theater. Like I said good service but they need to keep up with their movie theater.
I like this theater except if you want a cup of ice (because you love ice as much as I do), they give you this small 8oz cup. I understand the reason why, because people try to get drinks with it, but it ruins it for other people who really like to munch on ice chips. The place is usually clean. Movies never messed up while I was there. Prices are a little higher than I would like but they are about the same as every other theater. They provide AMC members with a deal on Tuesdays, which is great!
I drive almost an hour to see movies here. Its modern, Its clean, accessible and comfortable. Go on a mid-week afternoon and youll practically have the place to yourself
There were so many ads! The food was a bit stale, I had pretzels. They keep having problems with the lights. One time there were no lights so you couldnt see where to walk (Dr Sleep 2019). It was during the ads too. This time the lights were constant. They were so bright they interfered with the picture during the ads and right up to the movie starting. Its a shame when people cheer for the lights to go out. I saw the newest Jumanji(2020).
We had a great time. Getting in and getting our tickets and popcorn was organized and quick. The seats were great so much leg room and comfortable.Clean theater, nice crew of workers.
Aleways liked this theatre. The number 1 theatre has comfy seats and a good view. Dont sit to close. The screen is huge
Easy in/out! Wasnt crowded. Last minute decision. Good time!
Movie started late. The lights were never dimmed in the theatre until someone told them they hadnt done it. Second one wasnt that big of an issue because there were more lights out than I had time to count. Ceiling tiles are bowed and/or missing. Indicating un repaired roof leaks and many other signs of neglect, disrepair and bad management. That being said I would like to be the first to apply for your desperately needed management position. Let me know AMC.
This place has really gone downhill since AMC took over. Much more expensive and not nearly as clean as before. Flagship in North Coventry is much better.
Never had any issues until recently. The lights would not turn off in the theater when the movie started. No one working seemed to know what to do or could offer any option to rectify the situation. Watching a movie with the lights on is not what you except at a theater.
The last two times we were here this theater was very dirty! And this is a few months apart!!! The first time, there was popcorn strewn all over the ticket area floor. Manager was behind the counter doing paperwork sitting down! This week the glass doors were smeared, not one, all of them!!!the theater we were in had very dirty steps too! Yuck!!!!!
AMC is always a good choice for movie goers. Great theaters, relatively clean. Service is always great. Of course the popcorn, drinks, and candy are outrageously expensive. Overall great place.
Good experience. Was there at 2ish show. Soda machine not cold enough and bathroom lights did not come on right away.. Saw Joker. EXCELLENT FILM AND OSCAR WINNING WRITING AND ACTION FROM JOAQUIN PHOENIX.
Lines are usually a bit long but they move fairly quickly. Even on the opening weekend of Avengers Endgame we did not have to wait excessively. I wish that they had a separate line for those of us that have already purchased out tickets and do not want concessions. Inside the theater was clean and comfortable and the staff that we interacted with were very helpful. I will definitely be returning to this theater.
Its okay. Kind of lacks charm. I like my movie houses to have a bit of personality.
Damn doors locked before 930! But I come here all the time and usually its a pretty good experience. Though the concession prices redefine egregious
Had good movies but bathrooms were terrible not clean at all. Mens room was just as bad
If I could give 0 stars I would. Came to see a movie with my girlfriend for a date night and had the worst theater experience ever. The floors and seats look like they havent been cleaned in years, not to mention the pretzel bites were very stale and had no salt. When I went to the workers to ask for new ones they gave me attitude. I would not recommend this theater to anyone. I will be going to the flagship down the road from now on.
Very good seats. You can lift the arms up for more room.
AMC A-List is amazing. Love going to the movies now. This specific Theatre needs an A-List priority line though!
Great place. A bit off the path. Comfortable seating, not recliners. Big screens and great sound (thats why we go...). Only DS was that the AC was set to freeze! Yikes! All in all a great movie experience. Will return.
Their AMC Stubs program, the seats, their Big-D theater section, and their popcorn...All align perfectly.Amazing theater. Can be messy on the ground.
The movie was good. The only problem we experienced was the unaccompanied minors being disrespectful, using foul language, looking at their phone constantly, and the incessant talking. Not one worker even came into the theater to see if everything was alright. I thought people normally did that. We were just appalled at our movie going experience.
It was great! Had the whole theater to ourselves! Except for the ghost that spilled my friends popcorn!!
Well very comfortable, very convenient seating, even places to put your legs up, oh I could tell a story there. Much better staff, this place was run literally by the movie theater guy on the Simpsons. Of course concessions are just out of control overpriced, movie price is maybe $1 high but definitely fair so yeah overall very good place. Made a lot of changes in 4 years when it would have gotten negative 5 stars so give it a shot if you were turned away
Once AMC took over this theatre has become a mess! It’s filthy. You walk in to sticky floors and a coating of grease over everything! The coke dispensers on the right don’t have coke. There is only nacho cheese -no plain- so if you don’t like spicy cheese don’t get pretzel bites! The bathrooms have faucets that run constantly and they smell like urine. There are no ushers to make sure people aren’t leaving single chairs in random spots and they insist on playing popular new releases in their smallest theaters (#10) so good luck sitting with your partner. The staff is friendly enough but they are all young teens- good luck finding an adult let alone a manager. Every time I come here it’s worse not better. From now on I’ll take the extra drive to providence town center or oaks
10:45am showing; Bathrooms a mess (should be cleaned nightly?); Had to go remind someone to, I don’t know, START THE MOVIE (how is this not automated?); Pre-show video/ audio not working (sorry, sponsors).Rule #1 of theaters: don’t blame the workers, blame management. Management here is terrible, and it shows.
Its a great, clean theater love that theres a giant theater inside so it can fit a lot of people. My brother and I saw IT 2 and it was amazing.
Screen 1 projection is poor, vertical striations across the screen in 2d projection, sound is just OK. Screen 4 projection is poorly aligned, back tilted into the screen. There is also a 5khz tone that is audiable in quieter scenes. Basic stuff that should be corrected.
The screens are great, the setup for tickets and snacks works better than most movies. WATCH OUT if you need closed captions its at best hit or miss.
Ive been in two of the screening rooms, and they smelled dank—like mildew and mold. Three different employees gave me three different answers for where my movie was showing (the signs werent updated). In the theater, a bunch of kids were walking around and taking out loud and then yelling to each other, but no one did anything about it. This theater is minutes from my house but Ill never go back because it smells so bad and its freaking depressing.
I love it. Before they bought the movie theater they would change the bucket ever year and they still do. The movie toy story 4 was the best with good auto and picture it was the best. If I could I would give it 10 stars.
Slow service even though there was hardly anybody there. Food was terrible. Employees and even management didnt seem to know what to do. The theater was too hot but they did adjust that. And no sound until several people had to go out and ask for it to be turned on. Worst experience Ive ever had at a movie theater
Over 6 dollars for a hot dog 7 for a soda ticket price not bad but damn
This movie Theater is never crowded. Which is awesome, friendly and courteous service. Great movie experience.
Really nice place. Needs and update but comfortable.
First, whats good about it? Tuesday discounts, good selection of movies, close to shopping. Whats not so good? The restrooms, seats, overall cleanliness and upkeep really need attention. Since the theater was taken over from Carmike, it seems that it has...well, dropped 2 stars.
Great customer service. The staff seem to enjoy their customers presence and they aren’t bothered when you ask for something to be done specifically. Highly recommend.
Good service good food good bands good mixed age crowd.
Go on Tuesdays the movie prices are greatly reduced. The theater is clean. The staff is polite and helpful.
Had fun!! but remember if youre under 17 you need a adult to see a R rated movie and they need to be with you the whole time
Favorite movie theatre around here. Friendly staff and great service. Theatre is always clean and well maintained
Great way to see a movie and save a little bit. Go between 4 and 5 and is only 6 dollars. Every day. Add on the popcorn bucket..... just awesome
Nice and clean seating not reserved and regular chairs not reclining
Went to this Theater and enjoyed the Movie, got out at 11 pm and all the bathrooms were closed for cleaning. Ran into a RUDE young lady who sent me to the lobby. What the heck? Not happy with the Staff.
Big theater with a large selection of movies. The seats are comfy and its usually not crowded. The theater was clean and well managed. As with other theaters, popcorn and everything else is ridiculously expensive. Overall, great theater. Also, you can get free popcorn on your birthday if you sign up for their rewards program.
Love going here to catch a movie, especially on $5 Tuesdays.
I kinda was hoping this was a one time thing but on my second visit I decided to try again with the gourmet popcorn and ran into the same problem. It was disgustingly stale. Im not sure whats wrong if they arent properly sealing it but two times in a row was definitely too much
Nice venue, clean facilities, would go again A+
Im 23 with a full beard and my girlfriend is 20. We were denied access to a movie because she had her I.D. but is only 20 and I forgot my I.D. so the staff member couldnt verify that I was at least 17 years old. Ive never been carded to see a movie and it was simply ridiculous. The movie theater is nice, but the staff member was bullheaded and short. Lost my business.
Movies weve seen here always start on time. The staff is friendly and patient (a requirement when you have little kids picking out snacks!). They lobby and theatres are as clean as you can get them in between movies. I will say this though, there were several chairs that were broken. Not one or two but over five both visits. And this was in two different theatres inside AMC Pottsgrove. It really limits seating, is visual deterrent and a hazard (as some of them were laying on the floor in the row). Take sometime AMC and fix your broken seats! We always have had a great experience here! Just some maintenance work that needs to be done. But overall, we go here often and will continue to do so! Thank your staff! They do a great job!
The theater itself was great. It was just too cold for me (temp wise) while we watched The Addams Family.
Excellent everything went well. Enjoyed the movie.
Good staff great sound and picture enjoyed myself will come back again
Lobby, theater and bathroom were not very clean. Litter everywhere. Staff had to be told that the video/screen was not on during the pre-preview entertainment (we were only getting audio). At least the movie and sound were great once it started, and the seats were comfortable.
The movie experience is pretty good here.
Complete waste of time and money. The group of people who sat behind us ran their mouths the whole film. Then were asked to stop talking and proceed to cause a seen with a dramatic outburst. Staff refused to do anything about the group. Last time we ever come to this classless theater.
Joker, cant discuss, me and wife are at a difference in opinion.....theater was great though.....
Staff was super friendly and just seemed like great people. I dont think Ive had so much interaction with any group of staff at a movie theater. And laughter too. What an awesome way to get ready for a movie. This was a little out of the way for us but it was well worth it. I think we will make this our go to movie theater in the future. The place was also very clean.
Run of the mill movie theater. Wasn’t the cleanest theater, could be better
Nice theater in a shopping center so there are plenty of things to do or places to grab a bite if you have time to kill before your movie. AMC offers something called Stubs A-list for a monthly cost which lets you see up to 3 movies a week, pretty sweet deal if you’re an avid movie goer. The theaters themselves are clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking and of course delicious movie theater popcorn available.
Took the kids to see Toy Story 4 had a blast ! So cute blast from the past ️
Purchased tickets in advance online and was fortune enough to be able to skip the ticket purchase line that was about 50 people long. After getting into our seats in the theater I went back out to purchase food just to be told I had to get into that same long line of people waiting to purchase tickets. Why on earth do they make people who want food wait in the same line as people waiting to purchase tickets?! Definitely not a business focused on customer service. The theater itself was filthy, your shoes stick to the floors when you walk and there were multiple broken seats. I have come to this theater many times the past few years and it seems to have really gone down hill since my last visit. Very disappointing.
Love coming here with just the wife or the kids! Very clean and friendly service.
Service was great, so many beverages to choose from. Movie was awesome
I enjoy this theater alot. Staff is friendly and the Coke Freestyle machines are nice. Only wish they had recliner seats and the ability to reserve seats online and this would be a 5 star theater.
It was a bit disappointing. The ground was in need of a vacuuming. But for 6.50 its great to watch the latest films on a big(bigger than my home tv)screen. Also AMC theater is running a 19.95$ monthly price to watch up to 3 films a week. Its something Im looking forward to exploiting to the fullest extent.
Nice clean theatre. Seats ate comfy. They $5.00 movie nigh on Tuesdays. Current releases that have been in the theatre for at least 2-3 weeks. Great selection. Friendly staff, good food and snak selection...
Really good place to enjoy a movie. Has Big D, 3d and digital. No recliner seats like some AMCs but still really comfortable. First come first serve seating, which is some times good and some times bad.
Its a great place to see a movie. the seats care comfortable and during the week it is not crowded.
It needs to be cleaned. Other then that its fine.
The last two times I went to this theater, the movies I wanted to see were not playing due to issues with their screens. I wish I could have known this before making plans and driving there, hopefully if this issue happens again they would be able to resolve the issue, or at the very least, remove the showing times for movies they won’t be playing. Prior to my past two visits I’ve never had any issues here.
Wasnt easy to find in the plaza, but the staff was nice and the building was clean
Good review great service nice and clean Movie was clear and audio was clear best movies Ive ever went to and the bathroom was spotless
This Is a nice theater but they dont give discounts. Not AARP not AAA if you can go to the Regal.
Very clean theater. Cheaper tickets if you do matinee. The best and freshest popcorn ever! Get the movie bucket, it’s worth it. Hopefully they start doing reserved seating. That’s the only reason I go to the movie tavern.
The screen and sound were good, and the stadium seating was comfortable. There are no automated kiosks, so we had to wait in line even though it wasnt busy. They also dont have assigned seats, so you have to arrive early if you have specific seats in mind. Still, overall a good experience. I dont think I would go on a busy night, but it was great for a matinee.
Theaters nice but is always understand and would be nice to have it updated with recliner seats or anything really.
This theater has a large lobby and the staff is always pleasant. Seating is not reserved so come early on weekends when the consessions/ticket line is especially longer. The seating is basic cloth seats. It is a kept up theater but nothing fancy.
Always pretty nice and clean, updated modern decor
This place is great! On Tuesday its only 5.00 all day long. Friendly staff.Very clean!!! I would recommend this place to a friend.
This theater used to be amazing when it was a Carmike but since it was bought by AMC the waulity has gone down hill. It is often left very dirty and the theater sound mix needs some work. Hopefully it gets turned around soon as it has potential to be a really nice theater.
We love the movies and visit often. Sadly we have seen this theaters quality severely decline in recent months. The monitors to tell you were your movie is have never been repaired. Theater 10 always seems to have sound and video problems. It is a smaller theater and yet recently on the Friday premiere of a popular movie they chose to put the movie in Theater 10 and people actually were packed in like sardines and sitting under the screen. Lastly, the AMC Stubs features we are told about on the screen do not exist here. There is no special fast pass line for Stubs members. Heres hoping someone from management actually reads this and helps us to bring back what was once a beautiful theater.
Theaters are always clean. Selling tickets and snacks together speeds up the process and there are always plenty of people available.
Decent theater with $6-7 matinees. A bit dirty.
Staff was mostly friendly. Bathrooms were not very clean. Theater was showing age.
I think the staff is great! An we got the pizza an that was good but the mozzarella sticks where all broke up thats why the 4. But in general this is a great place to go for a movie.
Not a clean theater, many seats were filthy. Tickets are purchased at concessions and employees seemed frazzled. Awful fries... I will not go back.
Always on time. I love the previews. Comfort. The refreshments and popcorn are expensive. But they are in all the theathers, right (a invitation to smug some food and drink in. :-) )
Cheap prices and good service
