Ford Mine Trail is a quiet trail at the C&O National Park Headquarters in Potomac, Maryland. Trailhead is at the far end of the parking lot on the parking lot side of the canal. The trail is a moderate 2.5 mile loop. At the top of the loop is a short spur up to Sidney Lake. Very few visitor as compared to the Towpath or any of the Billy Goat trails. Lots of shade so good on a sunny day.
