Ive been coming for decades and this is the best it has looked, and, it looks great! Candlepin only. Bowling lanes are fully automated and keep accurate track of score and speed of pitches.Im not into arcade games but the arcade area looks good.Biggest improvement, the bathrooms! Really clean and a foot attachment to the door so you dont have to grab the door handle when exiting! Awesome !Prices on playing have gone up, oh well. The staff are friendly and cleaning often.Unless you have epilepsy or light sensitivity, I recommend a visit if you like candlepin bowling.

The manager andrew allowed my boyfriend and I to have an amazingly fun night here. His service was so fantastic and coupled with their ability to maintain a clean and fun environment means we will for sure be returning in the very near future. Thank you Andrew!

Grew up behind here 1982-1992. Though it’s gone through many changes, my children and I are now enjoying it together. We don’t eat here due to severe allergies. Bowling and occasionally game room. Clean and fun.

Very impressed with this bowling center. The place looks amazing and is very clean and welcoming. Mike and Sean made us out of towners feel welcome and were happy to answer our questions. Great atmosphere for all ages. We will definitely be back with our kids. There is a lot to do for all ages. They go above and beyond with their customer service.

I have bowled here for many years. The improvements made over the past few years under new ownership have breathed life into an old house. Theyve done a fantastic job with the lanes, restaurant, and atmosphere. Go here to support local business, and support a resurgence in candlepin bowling on the seacoast (or, just to have a good burger too).

Bowl-o-corona - A viral nightmare not nearly worth the bowing fun.Bowling was really fun. Candle pin is always a great time. Everything except that was horrible, mainly their COVID response.No one was wearing masks. None of the bowlers were wearing masks. None of the employees were properly wearing masks. Bowlers (without masks) were placed one lane over. All that was there was a single bottle of sanitizer that smelled like cheap vodka. From my college days I know what Smirnoff smells like.On the plus side, I think they still serve beers if you want to take your chance in COVID hell.

I have been to Bowl-O-Rama many of times both alone and with my family. It has always been a lovely establishment. Since the ownership I’ve seen so many WONDERFUL changes and additions. Everything in there is top-knotch. From the moment you enter, to the moment you exit. You’re greeted with wonderful service from every single employee there. Since COVID struck they went above all my expectations of cleanliness and most of all making people feel and be SAFE! You are missing out if you don’t head in there!!!

I am currently one of there league bowlers and feel they have done a great job keeping with the standards. I feel safe when bowling because know they have put in hard work to keep it clean. Ive seen them cleaning lanes right after a group leaves and they have it down to a science.

The place is clean, friendly, and safe! They sanitize everything before you go to your lane and clean everything thoroughly when you are done. Bowling and arcades are so much fun and the food is way better than expected!

Traveled up from Mass because arcades are closed and I was honestly quite surprised with the selection of games and the prizes at the prize counter. Everything is very reasonably priced and next time I’m in I’ll have to try the bowling. Not to mention that the employees were really sweet and helpful, you can tell they genuinely care about their jobs. I’m really glad we made the trip it was such an amazing experience!

Today was an impromptu party of 2 birthday party for my daughters friend (age 7). The staff took the time to put happy birthday _____. Scrolling across the screen, announce his birthday on the speaker, play a birthday song for him. His parents were anxious about clenlienss because they havent been inside a place for 6 months and were quickly reassured with the covid precautions in place to include hand sanitized bowling balls, plexiglass, sanitizer everywhere you look. Even though it was an unnoficial birthday party of two, this little boys birthday was made very special in a crazy covid world. Thank you!

What a surprise. Great place for a family to hang out. It was the first time for candlepin, we usually bowl the big balls and pins. We had fun with dueling lanes, guys vs gals. Very clean and helpful staff.

A bit expensive in my opinion, but we had a ton of fun on a hot summer day. Nice and cool. Very clean and the gentleman at the bar/food counter, who was also the chef, couldnt be nicer and more helpful. The food was pretty good too. They have a nice little arcade area as well. I think we will go again, but maybe if we have a coupon. The man at the shoe rental/prize counter (who may be the owner or manager) was very kind to my children and also patient. Overall a pretty nice, albeit pricey, afternoon.

Updated tech in the lane for a fun experience. But one string of bowling for 2 small kids w. Dad was $65. Come on.

Theyve made a tone of improvements to the lanes. My kids absolutely love Saturday night bowling with the disco lights. Always have a good time. Video games are, however, overpriced.

This place was so much fun for a great price! My husband and I went in around 8 on a Tuesday and they were doing quarter games so, we only ended up paying $2 plus shoe rental. Be aware this isnt regular bowling. The balls are small. The snacks are also amazing! I will definitely visit again!

Had a fantastic afternoon bowling! Turns out Im a natural at Candlepin since 60 is like, pretty close to the top score, right? Dont correct me, I am happy in my delusions.Dinner I ate was FANTASTIC - A fresh and juicy cheeseburger on a brioche bun, cooked exactly as I requested. Yum! Hope to return soon

Lets start by my beautiful girlfriends party was planned here with just 4 of us others arriving and being stared down by the associates. They refused to serve us drinks because We are a local business, therefore we have the right to not serve you guys I spoke with the owner (very unprofessional, I have footage of him making fun of my tremors upon me leaving) after that he then called the police and made a bigger scene than it needed to be. I would never reccomend for his professional behavior around the children who happened to be in there. Anyways, good luck owning a business. The carpet looked cool, Ill give you that. ;) I will be back when my trespassing day is up to enjoy some expensive bowling. Have a good day.

Cool spot but not real bowling, its smaller pins and ball. $4.95 pp and $3.95 for shoes, not a bad deal, good for kids.

Very expensive (65.00) for the four of us to bowl 3 games and the pizza and onion rings were awful! The pizza was too saucy, hardly any cheese and what cheese there was was over cooked! The onion rings tasted like grease with no flavor! The place was nice though.

Great place to have a corporate function. Enjoyed a night with my coworkers knocking down pins and beers.

Glad they upgraded! New shoes, new scoring stations and soon to have better food / drink options for those that enjoy family bowling. Prices arent too bad, but lack military discounts. They do have senior discounts though for folks to enjoy some entertainment and exercise. Well be back when we visit again some day.

Enjoyed this location. Candlepin is getting harder to find as the years go by. Ive bowled for hours and have never had a lane problem unlike other locations. Seems like a great place for kids parties too.

Recently updated to flat-screen monitors and fixed tablets for score keeping. On deck seating area updated. Gaming area is small but has decent games. Eatery serves adult beverages and food is pretty good but the menu is basic and short.

Terrible experience here. I dont usually write reviews but this was horrendous. The bowling was extremely over priced for what was given, but that is far from the worst part. We ordered chicken tenders and they came out raw. Raw chicken. This is extremely dangerous. We were not compensated for the chicken and the staff did not apologize and continued to watch us suspiciously after the chicken ordeal. I am very disappointed and do not reccomend going here.

Unsatisfied bought food and they threw half of it out on me. They all said they didnt throw it out. Would even comp me for half my meal.

This place us so great. Theres a little arcade, brand new lanes and house balls, and theyre putting in a yummy new restaurant. The best part though is the people, they are the nicest people who are always willing to help you with anything you need. A+

I have been coming here since I was twelve years old and it has stayed a great place all of those years. Family friendly during the day, and at night this is a great spot to have a drink with friends and bowl.

Good bowling but one guy, i think his name was jimmy, ended me and children’s game early. when we asked to continue they refused to allow us to finish. they were not apologetic and we were all disappointed. other than that it was a great experience

Today I had the Worst customer service from an older woman named Lisa working at the desk. My son was cashing in his tickets and deciding what prize he wants when she tells him to “hurry up, I have a party to set up for”. While he’s trying to subtract in his head she snaps and says “I don’t care if you go over, just hurry and pick out something”. This woman has no business working with people and was completely unprofessional and very rude. I never felt so uncomfortable and won’t ever be returning.Update: My Mother went and complained to the owner and he was incredibly nice and apologetic. He gave my son a 20$ gift card. I have changed my mind and would go back because the owners were fantastic with dealing with this situation.

Very disappointed with my visit today. It’s a total rip off for what they offer. Who the hell even cares about the new automatic scoring?! I’d rather pay a reasonable price and write out my damn scores with a pencil and paper! $6.50 for shoe rentals and $30 for a hour! They don’t even offer per game rates like every other place I’ve been to. My client with disabilities enjoys bowling very much and this location is the closest to where they live. With their disabilities it takes them awhile to finish a game and I’m not going to sit there and try to rush them so they don’t have to pay even more! I tried to explain this to the person working and they wouldn’t budge at all and told us we could find somewhere else to take our business, they don’t make acommodations for the disabled beyond offering a wheelchair ramp, and there was nothing they could do about it! My client has very limited monthly funds and there is no way I would spend that kind of money out of their monthly spending! I will definitely never be coming back and will warn everyone I know that works in the human services field!

Not bad pricing. Decent arcade area. Good food and some drink options. The floors need to be done on the lanes. The bowling balls also had chunks missing from them. A lot of tvs and lighting.

Brought the toddler for an outing. A little pricey ($30 / lane / hour), but good, clean atmosphere. Great for kids. Surprisingly good concessions as well, will return!

They recently did some updating inside, looks great! Friendly staff, the pizza is good here. But I didnt care for the spicy onion rings . The dip it came with was funky . Other people may like it but it want for me.

Family paid for bowling ($75). Then all of the kids decided to go to the arcade. At the arcade we won jackpot on one of the games. The staff came and helped us and let us know the machine has not won jackpot and that’s why there were many tickets. After 30 minutes, the owner came and said that the machine was broken (apparently he knew that from earlier but failed to put a sign up or let us know) and said the amount of tickets was wrong. He then proceeded to take all of the tickets away from the kids and said he would write us a ticket for not even a quarter of the tickets. Kids left crying and was the worst experience I have ever had at an arcade. Please do not take your children here :(

Super fun for both young kids and adults. It was great opportunity for our whole family with our two toddlers to bowl on their own.

Awesome upgrades to the whole place. New comfortable couch-like lane seating that includes a coffee table and shoe/item cubbies, new high top seating, new balls, and the electronic scoring has so many gaming and theme options to make bowling more fun. Very friendly staff as well.

Love the new renovation. Now you do not have to push the button for the lane clear. The lighting is great and all new equipment makes for a fun experience.

Still a bit cramped in that always in someones way or they are in my way vibe, but the renovations are terrific so far. Comfy seating, automatic counting so no more arguments by the kids, more food selections.

Visited for the first time in at least a year and a half. Was excited to see all the new lane updates, such as the new ceiling monitor graphics, and the new scorepads. Everythings even automatic now; no need to punch in the score for every ball you throw.

Okay, I have never been candle pin bowling but I cant remember the last time I went out and had that much fun. Lets be clear, it looks like some of the folks in other lanes had been to this bowling alley before. Many of them had techniques that I could tell they were putting into play as they rolled those tiny little balls down the alley. That being said, none of them appeared to be any better than me, the new girl. Folks with their children, groups of just adults, and my group which was comprised of some work colleagues going out for a little bit of fun. The staff that worked at the bowling alley was so super nice and attentive. They were very patient as someones credit card wouldnt work at the concessions area and even came to check on us to see if we were having a good time. The shoes that we wore seemed to be brand new. Seemingly brand new was just about everything there. What the heck? I know this place is been around a while, maybe they just remodeled? In any case if I hadnt been sold by just having a good time, I was sold when we got to request any song we could possibly think of. It was like the best version of a jukebox possible. Super stoked when they played my song as it was my turn to bowl! Bonus points! They also have several arcade games here. Unfortunately I didnt have time to play the SpongeBob game but I definitely took a picture. I showed it to my daughter when I returned home and she was super stoked to come back here sometime just to play the SpongeBob game. I totally recommend this place to everyone. Go out, bowl a couple of games and have a great time!
