Love the dog park winter and summer dog park. The forest which seems like it isnt part of the park is amazing. Great large areas for comfortable safe areas during COVID. Clean and amazing. There are some great patches to really have some privacy but lots of room at the same time be it in the grass or in the forest or with you dog.
Its great! Lots of hills, lots of open spaces, plenty of shade from the gorgeous trees. Plenty of benches so you can take a rest. There are beautiful winding pathways amongst a full baseball field, tennis courts, skateboarding freestyle bowls! Couldnt recommend it more!
~ My Favorite Portland Park ~...besides Forest Park of course. I have been to almost Dog Park in Portland and Gabriel Park is hands down the best Recreational Park! It literally has EVERYTHING!!!~ Skate Park~ Baseball Fields~ Soccer Fields~ Tennis Courts~ Volley Ball Pit~ Picnic Areas~ Community Garden~ Community Orchard~ Lots of Walking Space~ and 2 Dog Parks! The only complaint I have, is that there isnt a park this great in SE Portland! Why? Dont poor kids deserve this too? Dont their parents pay taxes too?
Love this park! Something for almost everyone, and plenty of paths to explore. It is a popular park though, so expect to encounter lots of friendly faces while you enjoy the many different activities the park has to offer.
The family and I had our Dairy Queen lunch here and kicked the soccer ball around for a bit. We took a walk around the park through the wooded trail. Its a perfect trail for beginners and little ones.
Park has all what you look for. Soccer, tennis, great trails and a dog park too. A good place to spend time
Good park. Lot of room. And grass. And shade. Cute dogs. No cats though :( oh and theres some bunnies 5/5
Spacious, open, rolling hills. Deep tree cover. People walking, talking, playing, resting. Tennis courts. Community garden. Trees heavy with apples, plums, and pears. Little children. A group of elders, dancing to music on the baseball field. A beautiful place on a beautiful day.
Has something for the whole family. Fenced in dog park, skateboard area, kids playground. We had fun.
So much good stuff in the middle of town. Love the redwood trails. And the port a potties were clean
Peaceful and serene park with excellent sunset colors view. Great to exercise or just reflect.
Such a beautiful park! Came here to have a picnic and I had a great time. There’s several spots where you can hand out and have a nice view of the city.
I love this park. Ive watched this park change over the year, there is forest, fields, recreation, and relaxation.
A beautiful, huge park with tons of activity spaces as well as open lawn. It can get crowded in the afternoons, but overall a great place for just about anything you might want to do in a park.
Love this place. It has open areas as well as wooded areas.
Looks absolutely gorgeous. I havent had the chance to explore this park much but it looks popular for walking & running.
Wonderful park with many walking trails, areas for dogs and playground for children.
Nice skate park. Seems to be well maintained. No cracks or broken concrete, graffiti is pretty much all covered over, no trash laying around, nice spot. Not a lot of room for flat ground trick practice, but the bowls are of varying sizes and seem to flow pretty well with each other. It was my first visit, and Im still learning transition, but the other people who were there seemed to be flowing really well and enjoying themselves.
Good concrete skatepark, mainly transition features, but does have a nice ledge.
Fun park, fast and smooth with a 5ftish half bowl up top that runs down a kinda snake run to a 12ftish bowl/wall at the bottom.
This is our daily go-to park, as we live a short walk away. The park is nearly 100 acres with two fenced dog parks (which are great!) a playground, tennis and basketball courts, soccer and baseball fields, picnic tables, restrooms, and both paved and unpaved trails throughout. Great place for sledding in the snow and picnics in the sunshine.
My dog and I love to walk in the woods here.
One of my favorite parks to take my son to. With the Dog park, community garden, and the trails and courts and fields. Its a great park to spend a Day with the kids having fun.
Great park to walk, play tennis, run the dog. Well kept with lots of little trails.
Epic evening. In a beautiful park.
Great place for picnic, dogs, or a trail walk (paved or unpaved)
A great park. many children and scooters though
This is one of my favorite parks in Portland. Environmentally, I love it. The trees, rolling hills and elevation changes, areas for activities, and paths make for a great experience. There’s a (somewhat outdated) play structure for little ones to enjoy, a skate park, basketball court, tennis courts, and open spaces for rays of sunshine on lucky days.I took off one star for obnoxious dog owners who don’t leash their pups. We know you love your dog... and there are two off-leash areas. Not all dogs are friendly or play nicely with others. Also, people don’t want your dog’s nose in their baby stroller— I have seen this scene too many times with frightened children and defensive dog-owners. Please be respectful of other park goers.
Its a very good park on its own, but is surrounded by cocky teenagers and parents who dont supervise their kids well enough.
My family and I have been to Gabriel Dog Park at SW 45th Avenue and Vermont Street in Portland many times. It is actually a fairly easy drive from Bull Mountain, especially since the route involves “back roads” and so avoids the roads that tend to back up with traffic. It is a fantastic multi-use park that has ample parking spaces. In addition to a multitude of fields, courts, and paths, it has an excellent off-leash dog park. Our dogs have always had a blast there. It is a very nice-sized Dog Park and there are shady areas and seating for the warm days. There are nice walking paths for casual strolls as well.
Iys a large and beautiful park with many options for activities
Great park with lots of trails and dog friendly.
It was wet today, still enough dogs to keep my pup playing. Smoke from the wildfires is finally starting to thin out.
This park has so much to offer and it’s massive.
Great variety of places to recreate and to engage in social distancing. Lots of trails and fields, with a fantastic pollinator garden on the side by Multnomah Village.
One of the best parks in Portland boasting forested paths, baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts, whatever you play beach volleyball on, a dog park for winter and another for the summer, a great community center with its own swimming pools and public classes, and one can never forget the inspiring sunsets that are viewed from Gabriel Parks western hills. All in all commendable, though not without minor faults.
The orchard was great, but my 5 year old son was attacked by bees nearby. Stay on trail.
It is okay :) wild field and quite place
Huge, lovely, well maintained. Lots of trails, fields, forest, 2 dog parks, skate park, community garden with orchard....and theyre always working on more improvements. One of my favorite spots in Portland.
I like walking at this park. Cool little forested area to feel like youre in nature. Also walking the looped path around the park is almost exactly a mile so if you want some measurable exercise, this is a good place for it. Can see little wild bunnies sometimes too.
Love this park! Theres something for everyone with a dog park, tennis courts, baseball fields, a playground, a skate park, a trail, and lots of open field space. The community center right next to the park also has an indoor swimming pool and other fitness amenities. Probably my favorite park in Portland!
Beautiful park! My dog loved exploring, we didnt have a ton of time when we visited it so Ill have to come back at some point to find the off-leash dog areas.
Grew up next to gabriel in the days of kids roaming freely. A wonderfull multi purpose park.
Little bit of everything, sits on top of the edge of the county, nice sunsets
Played tennis. Great giant park.
Great Dog Park, Skate Park looks fun havent tried it yet, and there is more than enough grass and hills to make a stroll or picnic fun with the family.
A beautiful, quiet venue in a lovely part of the Multnomah area of SW Portland.
Such a lovely park. Great wooded trails, open green grassy hills and wonderful summer and winter dog parks
Whoever designed this park is a genius. You can walk here, night and day, and have an amazing experience either way. Well kept and beautiful, Gabriel Park is always going to be a fond memory for me.
Great park. Seems to be well cared for. I walked around a bit listening to my flip flops. I hate the way they sound. Sometimes my toes get bothered by them. I think I got them at Target last year. Target always has good deals. I go there every once in a while. I have been there recently. I should go back. I like the grass.
Great park for kids of all ages. Has a skate park, multiple tennis courts, off leash dog area, many trails to stroll or bike on..ect.
Its nice. Plenty to do.
Great park with lots to do
Beautiful space with lovely trees.
The cops didnt show up. 5 stars.
Nice shady forested area with wooden railings following paths along a creek. And an open area with a paved inclined path and grassy areas filled with sunshine.
Nice park. Clean and lots of room to roam
Really nice park to walk around and a great dog park. Only single gate entry, so you need to keep an eye on dogs trying to get out while youre going in.
Very nice park with a bunch of well-manicured trails! Great place to go for a nice walk with a friend or your pooch!
This is a very nice park, with a good trail that has some small hills to climb. I enjoyed it a lot, when I went there with my daughter, who has two small dogs. I have to say that it is really good for walking your dogs! It was easy to see that they were having a good time trotting along the pathways, stopping often along the way as dogs always do, to check out the various smells available! I noticed that the park also has some tennis courts.
Kids played...needed to get energy out.
Such an expansive park! Beautiful rolling hills but also flat areas to play some sports. My dog loved wandering around.
A little something for everyone here and its next to the Southwest Community Center
Great park lots of space!
Great park to play tennis, take your dog to the dog park area and go for a hike or run.
Great park, huge.
We are SO LUCKY to live in short walking distance to one of the best parks in the area. I go to the dog park daily & usually do my exercise walk in the evening. Something for everyone!WARNING! IF your dog is a good jumper, the fences are low in places & the summer park is right next to the parking lot that also serves the skate park, so TEENAGE BOYS ARE DRIVING THRU!
Great volleyball courts
Lovely, sprawling park with 2 off-leash dog areas, skate park, basketball court, soccer field, baseball field, picnic area, playground, and tennis courts. Wooded trails, meadows, and paved trails. Mature trees and green grass. Walk through it to Multnomah Village.
Great suburban park. Lots of fields, baseball diamonds, off-leash dog areas, some community gardens, wooded area. A little something for most.
Gabriel Park has some of everything- paths, grass, deep woods, ball fields, tennis courts, swim center, dog park, picnic areas...
Great place to picnic and play baseball been going there for over 40 years
Wonderful park
Great for dogs. Gated park for dogs to run around. Open space, plenty of grass, fountain for drinking water for the pups.
Good park lots of room but very boring.
