Once or twice a week is a good way to get in a lot quality reps, especially in rainy weather or when pressed for time. Also allows you to evaluate mechanics and diagnose problems quickly, removing pitching as a variable. We usually go off-peak hours and are often the only people there. But even during busy times you put your name on the white board for a particular cage and kids get two sets (40 balls) before they are supposed to rotate out. Folks are pretty good about following that.
My daughter and I had s really fun time. We will definitely be back.
There are four indoor cages here. The options range between softball, fast baseball, and slow baseball. The cages are suitable for adults and kids. Helmets and bats are available to use for free. It costs three dollars per token, and each token gets you twenty throws. There are arcade games and plastic tables here too.
Good place to practice batting. They have few cages (5) with a throwing velocity ranging from 45 mph to 70 mph.
Great place! Good equipment, good service, all in all a great place to get some practice in
I met the love life, thank you kadyn
Not too busy. Nice staff. Okay prices.
A fun place to shake off the rust and take some hacks. It also has a back area that can be rented as a pitching tunnel or a place to do some more hitting drills. Overall its a great spot and Ill definitely be coming back.
This was a funny place to release some tension. The owner was a very helpful and nice. We did not have to wait long.
This place is outstanding. Steve the employee is personable, informative and will show you everything about how the machines work. (Also talk baseball if you want!) It can get a little busy from time to time but youll still be able to get your hits in and you dont have to wait more than five minutes on a cage. Its great they have cages for all skill levels as well as a 70mph cage for us ball players :) Id go every day if I had the money and I recommend you all do they same. Good job guys, 10 out of 5 stars!
Jugs for softball are very random, and its a bit spendy, but close to home and they keep good hours.
My dad and I were going to go here to practice some softball on 09/09/2019 right when they opened..... 40 mins later and they are still not opened! 10 people also came by wanting to hit some balls but they weren’t “opened” even though they said they open at 3. If you’re not going to open on time or at all, post a sign!! Wasted my time....
My therapist says I have anger issues. I told her to shut her face before she gets a bat to the face. After she winced in fear, she recommended this place. Now I can hit things with bats without going to jail.
Great place to go for batting practice. My kid loves it. The owner is very nice and makes sure everything is working like it should. My boy is 6 and the slow pitch softball was perfect for him. Have been several times and will continue to go.
Low key and relaxed fun. A nice local spot to play arcade games and swing a bat.
Batting A Thousand has a decent set of batting cages and the price point isnt too bad. However, the place can get packed very quickly. If you are going to hit with a bunch of people, call ahead and reserve a cage. The wait isnt worth it.
Great service, demo bats available to use. Easy access off 205.
Decent pricing for the cages. 4 total cages, with varying speeds. Family friendly
We love this place
Love this place, $3 gives you 20 pitches. They have softball & baseball bats, and helmets for you to use. The fastest cage for baseball is 70 mph
Great cages for slow pitch softball. The owner is friendly too.
The only batting cage left around, however they have been providing solid, reliable service for the 25+ years that I have been going there.
Great service. A cage shorted me the 20 balls due to malfunction. The operator apologized, fixed the problem and gave me 3 more rounds to compensate. Thought that was a first class gesture. Highly recommend for all skill levels.
Admittedly I grew up coming both with family and with various teams, and now I am coaching my own kids and bringing them here is just part of playing baseball. Batting a thousand is an awesome place for many levels and I would recommend it to anyone.
Go to the delta park cages... they are MUCH better
This is a great alternative for baseball/softball practice for those many PDX rainy days! There are 4 cages with different speeds to accomodate all the different levels of baseball & softball. Keep an eye on the batting lists though... my son Nelson missed his turn because some older gentlemen decided that his name was now Nelson! Thank goodness that jerk isnt always there!
Great place to get in some practice swings!
Good place to do batting practice, especially when its rainy or cold because its indoors. Only a few cages so sometimes u have to wait. But at least they are open.. The other cages close thru alot of the winter season.
Good batting cages love
A bit crowded at times but a great place, also would not recommend using new or nice bats balls may mess them up
It was great got in then out!!
The machines were inconsistent and trying to locate the ball prior to being pitched was very difficult. Not recommended.
Reasonably priced, nice owner, good times.
I grew up in a batting cage because my father owned a batting cage business. I have very high standards for batting cages and this place lived up to them.
Super nice staff, four options for batting cages. Pretty cheap - $3 per token for 20 balls each.
This place is fun!been going here for years
4 cages, different speeds in each cage, with the option of baseballs or softballs. $3.00 per token. 1 token = 20 pitches.
Absolutely love this place and their staff!
This place rocks same place from my childhood go support your local cage they are a dying breed
Great place to practice batting.

Got us in right away in the pitching tunnel. Cheaper then other places by half
A nice, cozy place that also has arcade games and refreshments.
So good
Love it
This place is great for practice
Always have a great time.
Good
Good times, equipment is a bit old
Needs air fresheners.
Batting cages!
Still the best.
Lots of fun
Swing a bat for cheap until your elbows start hurting.
Crowded and smelly
Batting cages are becoming too expensive
Its a grand slam!
Cheap and fun
Always a blast
Great beginning place
I used to go to this place when I was a kid. Now I take my boys there.
Its raining inside with CD playing the court outburst of audience
Stinky
Great, friendly staff with well maintained facilities!
Love this place
Need More Staff!! Thats my only real issue. There are some games to keep the little ones that are not uses the cages busy, and the cages are in okay shape. The place is usually packed so make sure to put away some time to get through waiting list.
