So... the last time I went to one of these was 15 years ago an i didnt remember it being as fun as this!My husband unbeknown to me, paid a bit extra for me to be a suspect!Highly recommend! But dont tell your partner if you sign them up! The surprise factor goes a LONG way... and dont tell them you signed them up either!.I dont believe there was a person in the packed room that didnt completely enjoy the evening. A great date night, a great adult family event, a great friends night out!Next years Christmas gifts... Murder Mystery dinner tickets for sure!OH... I must say... to be honest... the food was not so great...but the evening was so much fun... no one cared!Lenora Lancaster says Well Done... Bravo!Linda says... Thanks for a really really really fun night!

Went last night at the show on SW Bancroft. Really feel ripped off!! $79 each for the VIP table and all we got was a photo. I was told it would be interactive, there would be prizes, etc. Not well planned out or explained. Hardly anyone we spoke to seem to know what was going on or what we were supposed to do. Half our VIP table sat there wondering what to do. For the same price as a concert you would expect so much more. Plus the dinner included at the Old Spaghetti Factory was just iceberg lettuce salad, noodles and marinara, and the ubiquitous scoop of spumoni. Never again.......cant believe I fell for this scam......and for my fiances birthday too. Absolute waste of time and money and I felt foolish.

The food was terrible the production was worse if you can call it a production. Basically it was two women trying to be funny. The entire thing was a waste of time and a waste of a lot of money. I walked out in the middle right after receiving the rock hard brownie With a stale funny tasting whipped cream. The four or five people who put this together should be in jail for stealing peoples money.

The main acting was well put together. The investgativing time that allowed you to be interactive was very rushed and only a handful of audience got to play an acting roll. The food left something to be desired, both in taste and feeling satisfied. The crowd was much larger than I expected, easily 10 tables with eight people each. I was seated in such a way that I could not get up from my chair without needing to unseat 3 or 4 other people, despite my small size. The area was noisy and I had to strain to hear others at my table and at times the performers. I imagine this would have been a much more enjoyable venue had it been with better food and a smaller more intimate group, perhaps a private home party.

This was so much fun! The more you get into it the more fun you have. Totally interactive. Went as a birthday surprise for my husband and he got to be one of the suspects. We dressed up and got really excited. Its kind of cheesy but in a fun way. The actors and actresses were a blast and very personable and fun. You sit at a table with other people and work with them to solve the case but you could do it by yourself if you wanted to do so. We enjoyed getting to know our fellow teammates and enjoyed the teamwork. The food is nothing to get excited about but its not bad. If you like gathering clues and pride yourself on your sleuthing skills this is for you. 5 stars for sure. Would like to go again some time and will go through this company.

I love the fun of the event. My last event they reduced the loud music so I could here my friends across the end of the table. This last one, they told the whole table to be candidates to answer the suspect at the table questions. This turned out to be confusing. It meant the characters walked around and played the game, but made it work to try to find the ones I had questions for. When I did try to ask questions of a person at their table, the person said they were unsure. I think many come to be a part of the event, but do not want the responsibility of remembering what the book said. I liked it better when the suspects stayed at their tables. Would like to see a faster way to do the photos. I missed a whole question session working with photo and missed information vital to the answer. I am guilty of bringing a large group of people with me and wanting many of the great photos. I wish we could hang around at the end to deal with the photos when we come in large groups so we dont miss out on the event. I do plan on attending many more to come. It is fun to dress up and do a little investigative work in the fun of the mystery event!!!

This is the second one I have been to and it was really fun! We will definitely do it again. The first one we did was the wedding one and it didnt have as many of the audience playing parts. I think it is fun for audience members to play parts but you run in to issues when they decide to make things up or else all the info is not in their binder. Like worth the 20s gangster themed one, there was the mother of the victim but she was not told she had another son who died previously, which made me wonder if the other son was real or not. I plan on going to the 50s one and I hope it goes as smooth as the wedding one did!

We enjoyed the show itself. We thought the actors were great. They were funny and did a wonderful job at getting the audience to interact. There were a couple of things we didnt like. We thought it was expensive for the location, The Spaghetti Factory. The food wasnt very good and our selection was very limited. We also paid an extra $10 per person for premier seating. Our seats were located at the very end of the show and were terrible for the extra price. If you do the show, do not waste your money by spending extra money on the special seating. Its no different than regular seating.

This event was just awesome! I saw tickets on sale on Groupon and decided to just go for it as my wife really likes these sorts of things. I have to admit, I wasnt sure what to expect but I thought it was just going to be an entertaining show while we ate but it ended up being a really captivating activity. The actors stayed in character (Murder at a 1920s speakeasy) and were a blast to listen to and interact with. Id highly recommend this company for any dates (first time especially) or small/large groups. My wife and I will definitely be coming back!

I loved this event. The actors were great and they kept everything running smoothly. We will be attending more in the future.I would agree that more food selections would be better. Especially since its the same thing three choices for all the shows.

Upfront I will admit that most of my displeasure with this experience could have been avoided had I been a better advocate for myself. The event I attended was at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Portland. I am not sure if they do these events at other locations but I found it difficult to find. My gps was all over the place and I went in several circles trying to find it. Needless to say I was already frustrated when I got there. I should have printed off a detailed map with directions before I left, I suggest doing the same. The ticket print out and email should both have the address of the location. It was a pain to go and find the correct address all the way back in my emails two months after I have purchased the tickets. They took 6 pictures but we only got two, which the photographer picked. They werent bad but I would have liked to see the other ones so I could chose, even a proof would be good or if they could email us the other ones that would be even better.I requested a gluten free option when I got there but they did not give it to me so I didnt actually eat. There really should be a better selection of options when choosing meals so people wouldnt have to worry about flagging down the waitstaff. Please consider adding just a couple more buttons, shouldnt be that hard. They seated us with our backs to where the main part of the entertainment took place so we had to turn our heads through most of it. Then they chose me to be a character. Not knowing what I was in for I did not protest. They really should give you a choice, like ask your permission to see if you want to be put on the spot. I do not like being put on the spot. I am not an actor and it was extremely uncomfortable. I was not able to enjoy the fun of the detective work or ask questions of anyone else to find out who did it, which is why I went. It was not very pleasurable for me. Other people seemed to enjoy themselves but I am feeling anxious just thinking about it.I might try it again someday after I get over this one because I know it can be fun and the troop/performers/characters were all great and funny. I would definitely not let them choose me to be apart of it next time though.

Had a really great time. The Mystery itself was not really that hard and being our first time, I think we over thought it. We were thinking more like this was an SVU Law & Order episode and really it wasnt. The actors were great, the people were great and overall it was a really fun time. Something I think I would do again.Highly recommend with someone whom you normally just go to dinner, movie, the same thing. This is very different and fun. Just go.

Great actors and a fun time. It could have gone a little faster. It would be nice to have the people who were suspects be seated or in one area for questioning.A little wider selection of menu would also be nice.

The meal was uninspiring. The performers were too impressed with themselves to carry off a good performance. It was a nice evening, but I have spent much less on much more enjoyable evenings.
