I have been going to Afterglow for over a year and it is such a welcoming place! The instructors clearly love what they do and want students to get the most out of their experiences. Their brick and mortar location is currently closed due to the pandemic but I have taken class online and have really enjoyed it! I would recommend it to anyone interested in fitness, health and community.

We took a group of 11 middle school students to AfterGlow Aerial Arts as part of our week-long exploration on diverse forms of art and creativity. In a week jam-packed full of fun, this was one of the top highlights for all of the kids and teachers too! Ivy and Jessica were both wonderful instructors. They were calm and patient with the kids and did a great job explaining what we were doing. They made our time fun and engaging. Now, we all want to join the circus! Thank you AfterGlow!

I have been coming to Afterglow since its make-do beginnings at Yoga Shala about five years ago, and the programs and facilities keep improving. It was started by someone who I suspect has spent more time in the real world than many in this business, which gives the place a noticeably different energy to it. I must have had at least one class with every instructor over the years, and can vouch that all are both knowledgable and enthusiastic with what they teach.The classes themselves are usually small, which makes for more attention per student. Especially helpful for those wanting to work on specific moves or body parts. I am currently focusing on handstands which has LOTS of components to it and making rapid progress.The ceilings are low, but you can still do nearly all the usual tricks on the silks as you could elsewhere, and the huge bathrooms even have showers.Got children? Afterglow has a good selection of classes for them as well. Judging by how I see the same ones coming back term after term and never hear any screaming fits, the excitement and quality must be just as much up to par.

Afterglow is an amazing studio. The instructors and class structure make me feel so comfortable and supported. They keep the class sizes small (no more than 8) so each student gets a lot of individual attention. Everyone is so nice and encouraging. I cant stress enough the Positive Vibes at Afterglow!!!

Afterglow Aerial Arts staff, space and classes are amazing very warm and friendly environment for all levels and ages. I have been taking aerial silks classes here for 7 months and have had the opportunity to meet wonderful folks and become a part of a lovely growing diverse community. My skill, technique and confidence has grown Through my involvement with Afterglow. I Highly recommend this studio for beginners or anyone seeking to learn more and for more intermediate and advanced aerialists looking to hone their craft!! The best aerial studio in Portland!!

I love coming to this studio. They have a wide variety of classes and times to choose from, all taught by wonderful instructors. The encouragement and accessibility that they provide in classes is wonderful (especially if you are just starting out). If you are looking for a new hobby, workout, or a way to meet friends I defintiely recommend checking this place out!

We dropped into a class with Erika for Silks. The space was well done and very professional and Erika was outstanding. We will do this again when were in town.

My first time was amazing! I was super scared at first but the teachers encouraged me to climb and try my best and I ended up doing what I was scared to do. The studio is super gorgeous and clean and just a calming and nice environment. I highly recommended this studio! :)

Jolene is the best teacher! Her patience and charm go a long way. Shes so inspiring and encouraging all at the same time. Mary is a wonderful teacher as well! I love this studio so much. The environment is light, fun, and perfect for beginners wanting to learn silks, Lyra, and other circus talents.

This is a beautiful, clean space with a warm, welcoming staff. The instructors are very professional and provide a safe and friendly learning environment. The selection of classes is quite extensive, providing a great range of days and times for students of all levels and ages to choose from.Ive made some of the best friends I could ask for at this place because of the openness and encouragement between the staff and students. It truly makes my day better going to this place. Every time.

I have taken several series classes from this lovely establishment. Each series my learning goals were met or exceeded by attentive, knowledgable, and kind teachers who welcome questions and pictures/videos of things students where interested in learning.Everyone got plenty of time on the apparatus, and open gyms are at accessible times. The facility itself is in a beautiful, clean building. And this place definitely gives you the most bang for your buck!One of my favorite things about this studio, is the community of people there; all teachers and students are warm and encouraging!

Had space for a drop in duo trapeze class, thorough warm up and a great class I hope to come back soon!

This is a wonderful aerial studio, beautiful facility and all of the coaches do a great job. They have classes for toddlers all the way to adults.

Beautiful, professional & accommodating! I have been taking private trapeze lessons from Jolene for the past 8 months, and couldt be happier with the expertise & love that she brings to her teaching. She is truly a gem! And with a wonderful variety of super fun classes, series & teachers, Afterglow Aerial Arts has something to offer everyone :) Extremely satisfied!

When I lived in Portland I would frequent the classes and every time I visit the city I make sure to drop in. The teachers know what they are doing and provide a fun and supportive environment for you to hone in on your skills. Its creative, playful, and challenging. I highly recommend Afterglow.

Afterglow is a wonderful studio for the aerial arts with a wide range of classes to choose from. All the instructors are very approachable, welcoming, and encouraging, something I find very important in aerial to contrast the difficulty. The space at Yoga Shala is beautiful and constantly being improved to make it a better aerial space.

I love Afterglow! Ive taken lots of their classes and Ive loved every single one. The teachers are skilled and patient. The other students are supportive and friendly. Not to mention Cicus Arts are soooo fun! Its easy to work up a sweat and have a ball when youre flying!

Hello there friends! I am writing you this review to let you know that Afterglow Aerial Arts is now located on 19th and NE Alberta inside the green and orange building. There is a call box on the front of the building and you buzz 011 to get buzzed in. Usually there is an Afterglow Aerial Arts sandwich board out but sometimes it’s not.

Went here for a class while visiting a friend in Portland and it was amazing! Jolene is a total goddess!!!
