Great choices of beautiful artisan products. So many unique items, glass, woodworking, jewelry, even textiles, and probably more. Folks curating these crafts are super nice, helpful and knowledgeable about the artisans and their work. For that special gift for that special someone a great, inspiring spot to shop.

I was crushed when I discovered that the Real Mother Goose, downtown Portland store was closing. It was like a fine art gallery, but with items that we were allowed to buy. It was our shrine, our main destination when we ventured downtown from the suburbs. I write today, long after its closing, because I happened to be wearing a luxurious Real Mother Goose hand-knit wrap that elicited so many compliments this morning. What a tragedy that a store of that stature and unique quality couldnt stay in business. I always make sure I visit the airport store when I fly which is the next best thing.

High quality local artisan jewelry, friendly and knowledgeable staff made my last minute Xmas shopping a pleasant task.

I really enjoy the beautiful pieces carried here and like looking when at the airport, I actually own a number of pieces by the artists so I am no stranger to investing in quality. BUT, I cant get the staff to give me the time of day. Ever. They barely make eye contact and seem to prefer takling among themselves rather than engaging. What a disappointment for the artists, who should have people selling their work who are excited to talk about the pieces and what makes them so special.

Like a museum of beautiful things! They carry a fine selection of local art. The items are varied but of excellent quality. I go to the store every time Im at the airport.

Absolutely lovely individuals (Holly and Wendy) working the place and kind dear. A real appreciation for art and helping people understand the value of the items and the energy put into them.

My experience at The Real Mother Goose was in the downtown Portland location on the last days of closing. They were basically selling items at deep discounts and had items for free.I had been in Mother Goose before and browsed before and thought the items were interesting and unique. I did not have any real contact with the staff.Unfortunately, my experience with the staff on their last days in downtown Portland was very disappointing. Im not sure if the person who did this was the cashier or the woman putting thing aside for me or some other persons on staff.If you label items for FREE in a store closing then maintain them as so or tell the customer. I did not know this because the items were a,ready bagged and the cashier rang up the items that were priced on a list.If the store does this to customers during a closure for free and discounted items, I can not imagine what they do to ordinary ones. I recommend being very careful interacting with the people in this store in PDX.

I visit this shop whenever I fly out of PDX, which is centrally located in the airport. This store sells a lot of handmade goods like clothes, jewelry, wooden gift products, blown glass and other trinkets. The neat thing about this store is that everything looks unique, like something you cant find in department stores. The store has aisles wide enough for rolling suitcases (a bonus) and has great gift products for men and women. Most of the items at the Real Mother Goose are pricey, but there are some affordable options, as well.

Lovely store with amazing objects dart, but sorely lacking in customer service. In fact the ladies were quite rude when I exchanged a gift there (with receipt) Have shopped there before for gifts, but never again.

Dont expect to get goosed or even noticed iwhen you shop in this uppity fad store. in the days when the real mother goose leas the gaggle leader this was a fun place to shop. these days the goose has been cooked.
