Amber sets out wonderful paint and craft experiences for the kids each week for parents and children to explore together. They have a great deal on open play packages, as well as art classes and camps. This is our favorite place to go after school with my preschoolers to wind down from their school day while releasing creative energy.

Took my son here today, he is almost 2, and he enjoyed himself. Nice variety of crafts to do and my son was entertained for the 1 1/2 hours we were there. We did not make it outside due to weather so we will have to check that out next time. I would come here again.

I went to meet my Brice and her kids to hand out. It was a really cool place for kids to create, paint, and have done fun. You would have to go to understand and see for yourself this kid friendly place. Parents/adults can get involved also and create a work of art and spend some quality time with your kiddo. Plenty to do there. I am looking forward to the next time I can go back and spend some to time with my 3year old cousin. This is a place that adults can bring their inner child out or their artistic being out. Very fun place.

I greatly appreciate this engaging, easy place to hang out with the kids. Much more enjoyable for me than dealing with the crowds of omsi or the children’s museum. Plus free coffee for adults!

Little but several art stations to chose from. The staff is wonderful and sweet. Very loved, art smocks are provided. 2-7 year olds have a lot of fun. 7-10 yr olds have their own small station.

My three year old can spend hours here. I enjoy that some stations are different every time you visit, for example, new items to manipulate on lightboard, new tools with the flubber, new parent-led project. I think the outdoor area has a lot of potential, but wish that it got the same sort of periodic refreshing that the indoor stations get, especially the water play area.Its great that theres a microwave (and coffee/tea for grown ups!) and eating area so you dont have to leave to eat and therefore can enjoy a longer visit.

My kid likes this place. We spent almost 4hrs. Painting on White board and cardboard structures was fun. Very friendly staff

My daughter loves creating with all the mix recycling items, painting on the cardboard play house, digging in the rainbow rice pit and pretend cooking with the slime. Def her favorite place in PDX.

We love being Smartypants members, our kids love it and there is always something new to create, plus old favorites like the rainbow rice and flubber/playdough. Great for all ages, but best for 2-8.

Great creative place for kids

Great place for kids! Lots of activities. I bring my kids here all the time.

An awesome creative, inspiring place for kids. The space is set-up for exploring your kids imagination with many different stations and mediums. Our family has had a blast. Our son has discovered colors, shapes, reuse, repurpose, movement. There is a nice lounge area too to eat and relax. They have coffee and tea for adults. One of our favorite places in PDX. Highly recommended.

Fun new place to have fun with your little ones

Its a shame this place doesnt have more reviews. Its been open for a while and its truly an awesome place to take your kids. I take my 4 year old there sometimes and she has a blast. They have different stations for various art activities depending on their mood. They also have a pit of rice like a sand box for the real little ones.The people there are ultra friendly and really into the art. They are available to help with any station. The price is also very affordable once you take into account its unlimited use of every activity and that you dont have to clean up and keep all the art stuff at your home. Its not dirt cheap, but this place is likely a very low profit venture.Please support this business because there arent a lot of places like this and we need to support unique awesome businesses like this one.

Great little art space for kids. Painting, Clay sculpting, collage, light sculpture play, and more. They have a nice outdoor area as well.

Smartypants is awesome. Our daughter has been going there since it opened. Weve done two year memberships so far, which are a bargain since she can drop in a do art whenever she feels like it. Weve also done several art camps and workshops as well as a birthday party. Amber and the rest of the staff are fantastic and the kids always have fun.

I love this place. I take my two and six year old here and they always have a great time exploring the different stations. The also reuse alot of items for art, which is great for expanding your imagination. The staff is great too, really excited about art and kind with the kids.

Very cool place, poor staffing. Hosted my 5 yr olds birthday party here. It was suppose to be lead by an instructor. She was non-existent, no direction, and always tending to something else. From the moment we got there until we left, we were left wandering and wondering, all the parents at the party were disappointed with the staff as well. We are definitely going back, but never for a birthday party again. The space is constantly being picked up, so its pretty darn clean given whats going on. My wife plans to go to girls night out and we hope to take advantage of date nights.
