Overpriced. Not very family friendly. Took my kids there and they had inappropriate music and videos playing. They made sure to tell me my 5 year had to wear a mask but they were allowing a certain protected class to run around without masks.

I havent had this much FUN in years! The place was amazing. The staff was amazing! The food and music were great! Great atmosphere for the whole family! I even bought some new skates that should be ready within a week! I cannot wait to go back!

I havent been to this place in at least 25 years. You guys did an awesome job bringing it back. I didnt have any issues at all and that staff was awesome from the time we entered til we left. I did notice a bunch of the arcade games and things were out of order and my kids had wasted tokens not knowing they werent working. Besides that we had an amazing time and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the experience!

The skating rink we have left and the place was nice and clean and the employees were very nice and helpful.

Being on the Junior roller derby team there, I thank them for letting us skate there every Sunday, & let us have time to teach others how to skate. We love seeing people learn how to skate, it warms our hearts. Everyone is super nice during open skate hours, & has the best food

The young lady at the front desk on Saturday 9/5/2020 is rude and has the blah personality. I didn’t like the atmosphere.

I just had a party at Sk8 World In Portage, and it was absolutely amazing. We had so much fun! There were a lot of people at the door, by the space is very big and comfortable. Very clean and safe for little kids.Enjoyed the food and nice staff.

Me and my friends go all the time and it’s so fun. I mean the food is good, the prices are decent. But the only thing is that sometimes the music can be a little lame. But the Lock-ins are the freaking best.

We had my daughters birthday party here and it was amazing!!! The kids loved it. Everything was done perfectly and the staff was extremely attentive and respectful. I just changed venues for another childs party to have it here. I cant say enough about this place. I havent been inside these doors in over 25 years and then it was R-Way. It was a great party for a 10 year old.

The owner was very rude. Hes a very ignorant and I will NEVER go there again. My granddaughter had a party there on the 14 of March. We will find another place to give our money to for a Birthday Party.

Nice place! Went for a Birthday party and the kids had a blast! The arcade needs some maintenance to get everything working, but all around it was fun!

Really great place, only suggestion, since Im a professional large scale event planner. Id allow parents at minimum 30 mins to setup for their party as opposed to setup taking place as the clock starts ticking for their time in the party room.

Adult sunday nights are the best! Old school jams and a great atmosphere with people laughing having a good time. Many memories will be made here. So happy to have a place we can skate at in NWI.

I gave this a 2 stars because me and my cousin went there together and they stole money from both of us. We each had $20 and it’s $9 to get in. I got 6 dollars back and my cousin got none back. I still haven’t gotten any money back. The restrooms are always crowded and are never checked up on. The food is pretty good but if they don’t do anything if you need to sit down. They sometimes get crabby and act like they don’t want to be there. Overall it was an ok experience.

Great service. Good for family. Skate lessons $10 every sundat @12 and adyer that you skate the rest of the day away no futher admission charges. Normal prices are $9 admission and for skate rentals its $5.

I honestly love skateworld! i go there a lot almost every weekend with friends.But this time was weird i went to pay and gave the lady 20$ she asked if i wanted skates or not i said no, me being so normal about going to skateworld i put my wrist out and she gave me my bracelet thing . It wasn’t until i was in the cafe getting up to go get a drink that i noticed she never gave me my 10$ back. But this was the only incident i have had and skateworld is normally amazing !

Newly remodeled, beautiful floor, fun atmosphere, food, lots of fun for the kids to keep them busy for hours.

I recommend any parent to take their kids here for fun and food and gaming my kids had a blast

Took my kids here last night and really have no desire to return. Saw an advertisement on their website for the date we were choosing to go and was excited for the price. Get to the establishment, charged way more than what we should have been and asked the lady working the window why and show her their ad on THEIR website. She rudely told us that it wasn’t true. Whatever they were doing today was on the front door. It’s advertised on YOUR website. How many people do you think look online and see this ad and come because of it and how many do you think just drive by and read the door? Especially when we don’t even live close by. Told her that was false advertisement and she claimed it’s not. Well when you advertisement something then say “oh that’s not true” (aka FALSE) that is false advertisement and incredibly bad business. She was very rude and refused to honor their advertised price. Also overcharged us due to her lack of attention when we checked in and made us stand at the counter for almost 15 mins before we received our refund. She was short and practically threw the money at my husband and even dropped some of it on the floor. Then on top of that we spent more than 30 mins messing around with the lockers. I had to transfer a backpack and coats/shoes for 4 kids and 3 adults four separate times because every single locker we tried was broken and eating quarters. This place was not worth the hassle and definitely won’t be returning. There are better places to take my kids for some family time and that are a lot nicer to their customers.

They are great helpful guards, also very nice. Same thing with owners. It looks nice, fun, and also the rules are easy to follow and simple. They are very cool and there music is not bad. Same with the very good DJ. I have been going there since they opened. It is the joy of my life.

I gave Skate World five stars because they have an amazing skating center. They have nice staff. Their layout is amazing, everytime I go there I always have a great time. I have no complaints on them. I love this place.

Great staff, nice clean facility. They could cater the music a little more to the clientele in the building (heavy rap/hiphop for families vs a Friday night full of teenagers?), but otherwise a good time.

Our family went here for my nephews birthday. My son has skated before, but my daughters hadnt. They had different options to help with that, such as toddler skates or walkers with wheels. It was so much fun. Well definitely go again, despite the distance.

So glad to see something for the kids to do. I grew up at the skating rink every chance I had. Took my two granddaughters both did not know how to skate to the 12-2 training session. What a wonderful time . The people that were on the floor teaching were the greatest! And after one session I now have a 7yr old and an 8yr old that can skate and cant wait to go back.WE WILL BE BACK!

Its really fun and I had an amazing time skating all my friends go here and there service and staff is perfect they offer a food bar they have walkers and teachers to learn how to skate they do birthdays with there own birthday rooms and they play jamming music plus its cheap also they have different types of skating modes like girls skate or backwards skate.

So glad they opened this place!! Have so much fun there ! Please dont listen to anyone keep the music the same! 90s music is the best music today is trash! Maybe make skate rentals a little cheaper. Other that that love this place!

Great place but their hours are very inconvenient. Not open when kids are on spring break etc. Would go there more if hours were better. Music is loud and not varied. Prices are high!

Cool place but the guy (7/8/19 at 8pm) at skate rental was occupied with FaceTimeing someone while on the job. Still gave us skates but I hope he knows thats not really something to be doing in a workplace.

They brought something back that was missing! Fell down a couple times but kept getting back up since it had been 15 since I last skated. Loved what they did to the place! Cannot comment on snack bar food did not try anything.

Wasnt too bad, food is always good but they definitely need to change up the music. Very disappointed with the selections.

I gave it a one because my son went there for a school field trip and came home with a broken collarbone and to think that he was using a walker to help him skate but that didn’t work and now he says that he never wants to skate again. I hate seeing my baby boy in so much pain.

My kids always have a good time here. You are allowed to bring your own skates here, which helps you save a few dollars since you dont have to do skate rental.

Its a roller rink with your standard games need I say more. Skate tool your hearts content. You get coupons after playing their huge variety of games which you can turn in with a huge assortment of prizes that you can pick afterwards. You can pig out till your belly busts from all the food you can order. This is a good place to easily waste a few hours and the kids will be exhausted when you get home so no problems getting them to bed. The service was excellent.

I gave sk8 world a 2 star because some of the workers have bad attitudes and they act like they don’t want to come to work like and then they are sometimes rude but overall sk8 world is a fun place I would definitely recommend people to come to sk8 world but without the attitudes from some of the workers sk8 world would be fine

A great place to skate! The skate guards are on their jobs. The entire facility is remodeled and clean. There are only two setbacks. They are in need of more rental skates, and more up to date songs should be played during the sessions. Overall, a great place for a family outing.

I am here often. My best friend, with whom Ive grown up with since I was about 8, works here. I came to it when it was R-way and on opening day of Sk8 World.That is all to say, I have a lot of time at this building. a lot of my views are skewed as I am no longer young enough to spend all day here and I am tired from work many days I attend. With all that being said here are my thoughts.I like roller skating. fun activity. I have been doing it consistently for about 6 to 8 years and before this i did it off and on from elementary school to middle school before taking a break for from middle school to high school and jumping back in sophomore or junior year.However, I cannot say that I like this place. I have rated 3 stars cause I think I am personally biased. It just doesnt have the feel, the atmosphere... that I am looking for. It feels like the establishment itself is a bit out of touch. this is not a one time thing either. I have consistently come since its opening day. I may take a month to 6/8 weeks off here and there, but trust me I am a frequent visitor.The music, while I dont expect it to fit my personal taste 100%, is just never quite right. The people, while most are quite fine, are mostly teenagers and such a crowd can be hard to share a space with let alone do an activity with the ranges of skill of those who can grapevine on command to those who can barely stand in shoes... let alone on wheels. The food, meh at best, but I guess this could be expected. Im not looking for 5 stars in this category.My biggest compliments to this place would have to be its floor, the lights, and those top tier of skaters. None of these are amazing, knock-your-socks-off stuff, mind you. Maybe a few of the skaters themselves are. The floor is relatively well kept and on a frequent basis it is easy to tell they care and are keeping up with it. Better than when it was previously known as R-way. (thats not me harping on rway I loved the ppl and the atmosphere there) However, I do think it remains to be seen how Sk8 World fairs in the future in this regard. I am looking forward to being a part of it. The lights? Yeah thats just a personal appreciation of mine. day dreaming whilst I flow through the crowd of young and old... of skilled and unskilled I always find myself drawn to the flashy lights and the dark flair scenery. Love it. A+. however, again I think thats my own personal bias. Looking at them with a normal lense... they can really be quite distracting and I would venture to say if you have a problem with seizures, please be careful. this place will be a doosy. The top tier of skaters has always fascinated me. Its amazing how nice and friendly they all can be. I have the luck to be considered one of them, although I dont quite feel myself among them. watching them practice on the floor, dance between the crowds or in the center is always quite astounding. If for no other reason than them alone, as a customer you should visit no less than 8 times. thats twice a week for 1 month. Friday and Saturday. parse your times however you so wish, but just seeing the different levels and environments their mere presents is worth at least half the cost.I gave this place 3 stars. I did this not based on my own decisions alone, but also of the other customers.... skaters... that I have encountered while there. I once encountered a mother who had visited. I havent seen her again. she said to when I questioned why she was leaving so soon after having only been for maybe an hour or so, I dont know what it is. Something about this place just doesnt feel right. Mostly it is the music, but theres more that I just cant quite pick out. I believe this is the best way to describe this place. There is value in it. There is time energy money and many other things in this place. however, there is something in the back of my head and in the back of many others, there is something that just doesnt quite capture you. Maybe its my own complacency in my skating ability. Maybe I just need a change of scenery.

Disappointing. Lack of management to control the rink to keep it safe for all abilities. Frequently sk8ers going the wrong way. Often inexperienced sk8ers cutting accross the flow of skating to get to an exit. People haging out at the exit making it difficult to get on or off the rink. And what I think is the worst idea, issuing walker/type trainers to novice sk8ers only to have them randomly lying on the middle of the rink after the user fell. So now you have to avoid the sk8er and their dispossessed trainer. Very few reminders, and lack of presence and control on the rink. Too bad, I like the remodeling from the ole R-Way but, the experience could have been better.

I don’t like it that much. Workers are yelling at kids and they are blowing loud whistles in my ear. And they are very disrespectful, plus they have bright blue lights and I can’t see and I hate how you can only be eighteen or older or be able to jam skate for freestyle songs. But it is better than it was before.
